The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Collection Comic Packs
« on: September 25, 2008, 09:41 AM »
Previews has a small pic of Wedge and Borsk, Ki and Sharad, and Luke and Deena. Love the latter, Ki, and especially Sharad look almost Marvel colored bright, and Borsk, well I need to see a bigger pic, but it isn't the best Bothan interpretation they could of used. Wedge looks pretty solid. Sorry can't scan, but pics will be everywhere soon I guess. :)

The Legacy Collection / Re: 2008 Evolutions Sets

I've always asumed it was the rogues at the meeting, and have always thought that the 'latecommers' to it were Wedge and Janson. We know Hobbie's there, and in an old interview with Denis Lawson he said the biggest film set he had worked on was the echo base hanger, so could be. Empire's filled with little details and the black haired pilot certainly looks like Lawson? Anyone else thought this? Its always bugged me.
About the snowspeeder pilots, the figures are great but lack accuracy with the leg straps. They should come out from under the flight jacket and not from the chestbox. Small nitpick :D

Satipo is a great sculpt and shows a good willingness for hasbro to do second stringers.
The others aren't bad, love the one barefoot on Marion :)

Indy's satchel looks like can open, for the "forthcoming?" sankara stones. Still not a great headsculpt, but Mola Ram and Willie are fabulous

There were also many rumour lists at the start of the year that featured rebel pilots, like Pops and red leader, and Hasbro mentioned getting a new Wedge out this year, so this could be the place for some of 'em. Just hope that Dutch sculpt is use on only one or two of them(perfer not at all) and the rest are the evo snowspeeder pilots.

I think it will continue well into 2009 and maybe 2010, but I agree that Hasbro may be thinking in terms of future games, animation etc. I have a hard time believing that Lucas will let Indy just fade away. I'm positive we'll see animation at some point.  I also think the tale end of the line may be a Hasbro 'imagining' of further adventures, kind of like its batman line.  I hope not, but I can see them going this way.  Indy in artic weather gear, not 'far out there' ideas, just stuff from beyond the movies.

actually diggin the deluxe more than the basic so far, the indy headsculpts seem cleaner and appear to have removable hats. The german biker is awesome, can't wait to see the vehicles. Also, as per the rumored 2-packs, doesn't that mean we'll get 2 marions in this costume?

Which reminds me to ask you Jesse, what do you do with all your figures? I've read your posts on all the small scale forums for years, you seem to like the same type of lines I do, but do you customize? Do you have a site with all your work? I'd be very interested to know :)

This may be off topic, but having seen the first wave of figures from the upcoming Golden compass flick, some of those Tartar guards might make for some good Indy adversaries http://www.action-figure.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=ImageBank&file=index&id=82235

Other Toy Lines / JAMES BOND
« on: August 29, 2007, 11:05 PM »
according to an article at Action-figure.com, corgi U.K has acquired the rights to action figures and more for the bond film franchise. This is the same company doing the European Harry Potter toys and figures for the upcoming Golden Compass movie. Anyone who saw the Daniel Graig Golden Compass headsculpt at toyfair should be looking at this line with some anticipation. The hope is for 3.75in figure., vehicles, playsets etc. Any Bond fans out there?

The Legacy Collection / Re: New Evolution Sets
« on: August 3, 2007, 07:37 AM »
From everything hasbro has said tin their past QnA's I can't not see future sets containing EU characters.
They Know the demand is their for certain characters, they don't seem to want book characters in the basic line, so we'll likely see sets with padme, leia and jaina, Ep1 obi, luke, and jacen, rather than just padme or obi-wan sets. JMHO.

The differences in the evolutions set this time around could be killer for those that don't enjoy the EU.
I could conceivably see sets based around themes like "heroines of the galaxy" which could have nomi sunrider, hoth leia, and jaina solo. Maybe the "solo clan" with Han bespin, leia organa solo, and jacen solo,
rather than just padme sets, obi wan sets etc. Hasbro is all out for the EU now, and also wants to work in novel characters, older versions of core characters etc, and this could be their forum.
I'm all over this idea, and just sitting typing could think of so many more.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: EE Mandalorian 14 Pack
« on: July 24, 2007, 02:47 AM »
it was mentioned by curto in a recent force-cast that there would be a droid included in the pack.
anyone think we may get a mandalorian battle legionnaire pictured in the mando swinsider article?
Boba Fett owned one of these (BL-17) in an episode of droids, but a slight remold of any 3po could fit?
There is an entry in the new essential guide to droids, tying them to the clone wars. Anyhow just a thought :)http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Battle_Legionnaire_%28BL-Series%29_Droid

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Questions for Hasbro?
« on: July 14, 2007, 09:01 AM »
Although you've said the holiday special boba fett may be all we'll see from that show, the family of chewbacca wouldn't be that far 'out there' in terms of figure treatment, considering they also appeared
in an issue of the chewbacca comic series, and nearly made the cut 30 yrs ago.
So hows'bout some wookiee love ?
