Kubricks / Re: 2008 Medicom Collector's Boxed Set

I had high hopes for this one after seeing S8 battle droid... but this just doesn't say Kubrick to me. I had expected something big and menacing like IG-88.

I've bought 2 snowtroopers from him, and comparing them to mine from the box and the one I got from Doc (also from the box) I can find absolutely zero differences.
The snowtrooper that I got from him was also identical to the one from the box. No flaws and certainly not a fake. However, the Jorg Sacul and B-Wing pilot that I bought from him had slightly limp legs.

I think the trick is to let the air escape from the helmet while putting it on or taking it off. I was struggling with this too on the 400% stormtrooper. If you tilt the helmet while putting it on it all goes much easier. However, I have not tried this with Boba Fett.

The weapon shouldn't really affect the price. The snowtrooper has a standard blaster which you can get from any of the cheaper imperial soldiers (tie pilot, ds trooper, ds gunner etc).

Could it be that Medicom is trying to reveal the real story to us?

..there was no father.

Yeah right.  :)

I found a picture (yes it is pretty crappy) that also shows the battle droid of series 8.

I think they did a pretty damn good job on that one! :)

Ok.... what just happened here? £56 ($113) for a carded Bossk?
Medicom Star Wars Kubrick Carded Bossk

Did they think they were bidding on the whole set or am I missing something?

Thanks Matt!

I'll definitely be getting the clone troopers and Jango. 3PO (TPM) looks cool too.

..how long has it taken you to create kubtopia
I started (and got hooked) 2 years when I got the Ma.K series (bottom left).

And yes Hemish there is no more room left.  :-\ So I am one of the few who is actually happy that Series 8 is taking so long.

I thought they were smaller, i read somewhere they were six inches.

I like Chewie and C3PO, but six inches? That's big. I guess collecting a whole series is out of the question then. Ah well... perhaps in 2008 I might change my mind.

By the way, you can see the 2nd wave (with C3PO) and more Hasbro toys here: jeditemplearchives
