The Wookiee Arcade / Re: Battlefront (PS2)

Sorry for the intrusion here, but since this appears to be a "group" game, does that mean if I pick it up on clearance several years down the road, that I can't play it since no one else will be around to play with/against anymore?  What happens if you try to play it by yourself?  No can do?  Looks like an incredible game though!  I mostly just want to blast the hell out of one of those Ewoks!   8)

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone 3-pk ...does it suffice?
« on: September 21, 2004, 11:39 PM »
Hasbro's too stupid to ever re-release the SA Clone, so we should just stop hoping for any more of them.   ::)

But yeah, I'd buy a bunch more of them, in 3-packs or individually!  Though the cheaper 3-packs would be preferred of course, though much more doubtful than a potential individual release.

For shame.  Go rent it, young fella!  It'll get your testosterone going, big time!

I suppose you've never sung You've lost that lovin' feelin' to a chick in a bar then either huh?  Like I said, go rent it!  You can thank me later.   ;)

Geez.  Never seen Top Gun?   :o  Famous line from it:  I feel the need, the need for speed!  **hand slap between Maverick and Goose**

Classic line and total "dude moment".  Come on!   :P

But yeah, the motorcycle story was cool too.   ;)

LEGO / Upset about the packaging change?
« on: September 21, 2004, 11:27 PM »
I've already picked up the previous Lego sets, but now they're rehashing the last few into the OTC packaging design, which looks 100x better than that circus blue crap they had before.  But now I'm stuck with 3 sets that I want to upgrade to the superior OTC packaging.  I'm thinking about just marching into my local Walmart, and telling them I want an exchange, since I haven't opened my older sets up yet.  I already price checked the old and new sets, and they're identical, so maybe I could get away with it.  Is that unethical though?  What do you guys think?  Wouldn't you rather have your Snowspeeder, X-Wing and Cantina set in the OTC packaging instead?

Are any other sets getting upgraded, or is it just those 3?

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Holiday 2004 Jawas at EE

$18 for that rehashed crap?   ::)  That's terrible.  They didn't even alter the figures this time around.  Just rehashed garbage, holding a present.  That's great.  Then to add insult to injury, EE charges $5 more than what the previous two holiday sets cost?  Completely and totally weak.  Just show a tiny bit of effort on these things, that's all I ask.  Something.  Anything?

My local Walmarts didn't have any of these, nor did they even know what the heck they were when I asked them about it.  That sucks.  At least they put out about 10 OTC figures, for the first time ever.   ::)

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Non-Spirit Obi-Wan
« on: September 21, 2004, 11:18 PM »
I completely agree.  That's an awesome looking Ben there (the custom), and it would've been absolutely perfect to go into that next cantina scene, instead of the lame rehash that they included, which isn't even scene specific or accurate.  What a waste by Hasbro.

Have they redone any other holo/spirit figures like this?  I'm pretty sure that's how they made the first spirit of Obi-Wan, way back in the POTF2 line, correct?  Was the canceled Holo Nute figure the same deal?  Then there's the upcoming holographic Emperor.  So it seems like Hasbro can go from regular figure to holo/spirit figure, but not the other way around.  At least not yet.  Hopefully they figure it out though, because that would probably be the nicest looking Obi-Wan to date!

Original Trilogy Collection / How are the OTC card conditions near you?
« on: September 21, 2004, 11:14 PM »
I've been seeing a lot of really messed up cards for the OTC figures, and wondered if that was just isolated to my few local stores, or if that was more of a widespread issue?  The damage is all over the place too.  Some have crushed bubbles, severely warped/curled sides, smashed corners, etc.  The problem seems to be most noticeable at my Target.  WM and TRU don't seem to be quite as bad.  But it's unfortunately preventing me from finding the last several mint carded figures that I need to get my OTC collection up to date.

So how are the cards and bubbles looking in your areas?

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: 2005 Cantina Wave
« on: September 21, 2004, 11:11 PM »
Looks like GH got some pix up of it:

They look very nice.  Just wish Hasbro would put that kind of effort into the Cantina sets!   ::)  As for Danniks tongue things, I'd go with the EU idea myself, and suggest they're the life sucking appendages from that.  Hopefully they're removable though.  If not, I'll make them removable!   >:(

Can someone refresh my memory, but did that ridiculous POTJ Jar Jar with the 3 foot tongue, have a removable tongue?  I seem to recall that it did, though I don't have mine nearby to verify it.

Did they not show the 3rd cantina alien in the Insider though?  Can't even recall who that was now.

Wow, looks like things got pretty exciting there in the 9th!  Hope you stayed til the bitter end!  Should've left Schilling in to complete the shutout.   ::)

You just need to move on to your next hobby or collection, once you've completed the one you were already working on!  Silly wabbit!   :P

Who ya gonna call?

Cool cake!

Happy birthday Brad, and I hope you lived life to the fullest when you were still in your teens.  It's all downhill from here!   ;)

Happy birthday to Alan, Zod and everyone else I've missed over the past month as well!

I thought Top Gun was a great movie!  Pure 80's action popcorn flick.  Still hoping for a sequel myself, though didn't Goose die on ER last year?   :'(

Boy did I want to fly fighter jets after watching that though!   8)
