Going to see Eric Burdon and The Animals on Friday. As long as he doesn't have a heart attack during the show it should be really cool.

Finished volume 5 last night and I have to say I'm loving this. Had to force myself to bed at 1 a.m. I do find myself sometimes mixing stories in my head between the show and the comic, but happy I decided to start reading. With that said I haven't hit the point where I'm "past" the show's storyline to thus possibly "spoil" things for myself.

Just nabbed a sealed on a cut card Droids Sise Fromm coin on ebay. VERY cut card, as in I have pretty much a rectangle cut around the coin, but still like that it's "uncirculated" AND am happy that the back of the card is where the picture of the Sise Fromm fig itself is.

Now I at least have something that came in the same package as the Sise and Tig figures with my other recent purchase. (yeah I have weird theories)

I'm going with reading but slowly so I don't leapfrog the show.  I'm doing the same with Game of Thrones.  Even if stuff doesn't line perfectly between the two I still prefer to be behind on the reading.

That is a tempting plan of action. I'm surprised you've been able to not "need to know what happens next" and thrown out your plan though. Not sure I would be able to do that.

Compendium 2 was $25 at Amazon a few days ago.  It's up to $30 now.

I decided to stick with the smaller versions. Those Compendiums are so huge. Not sure why that matters to me. (leave it alone Justin)

Thanks gentlemen.

Based off the way I was leaning and no one saying "don't read them", I am half way through volume 1. Now to hope I can find the others I need used before I get to that point since my self control isn't good and I don't want to spend $15 per on the others.

Watto's Junk Yard / TWD-To Read or Not to Read

So I now have the first seven (plus some after that as well), sorry I am not a comic book guy so my terms may be wrong, graphic novels of The Walking Dead comics (the paper bound multi comics in one things). And I can't decide if I should start reading them (I have read the first one) or not. I want to so when Abraham shows up I can be all excited about him (or when Michonne did, etc.), but I also kind of like not knowing what is going to happen. Of course I know they are far from following the same story, but for instance I hadn't read the first set until after Shane died in the show and I didn't see that coming. At least not nearly as much as I have to guess the comic readers did.

So I would appreciate thoughts from others if anyone is so inclined. Thanks in advance.

I think you are right on Darby. I have a feeling if you don't get your hands on the Speeder in the first couple of cases a retail store gets, you won't get another chance because the Jabbas will hold the shelf space going forward.

Could the package for Jabba be any more obvious something is wrong? There should be a word bubble with Jabba saying "Where's my stuff?" in that space.

Anyone else's wallet start crying after these Toy Fair pictures start showing up?
The 6 in. The 3 3/4 in. The vehicles. Ugh

Picked up a loose Darth Vader's Star Destroyer Playset. It is missing the hatch door, the gun, and most important to me the top part of Vader's chamber. That said it was less than $10 total. Hopefully with some patience I can get the other pieces cheap. I am, however, the type of person who is willing to pay a little more total if I can pay in "installments" so I am happy.

I might have a lot of that stuff for you...let me check when I get home. I have doubles of the SD playset along with the Ewok village.

Cool

That's hilarious in a super obnoxious way! I thought you were going to say he sold it to you for $15.

What part of this conversation feels "personal" to you?  ??? Is that just your go to when you don't have a response?

Beyond a difference in opinion of where they should take the show, your posts have been rather dickish.

Is this where I go back and list all the things I've been called in the last 24 hours?

For everyone else's annoyance level's sake, I promise I'm done after this. I have posted some a*hole things. True. However, only as an over reaction to something as trivial as a tv show. I, again my opinion, I obviously don't know you, think you enjoy the a*hole comment as a part of your argument, and that isn't just based on this particular conversation.

Ok Jeff, Jesse, and the others that just want to talk about the show, I promise I am done until we are discussing this Sunday's episode. SORRY all.

Lori and Dale were the only two big deaths on the show that I found shocking and unexpected. The writing was on the wall for Shane, Merle, Andrea, Herschel and The Governor so I wasn't surprised when they bit the dust. As much as I enjoy Daryl and Rick, seeing one of them get ambushed and eaten by walkers would really kick things up a notch.

Part of why we all saw those deaths coming is because TWD kills off main characters. Not because it was just so expected and the easy thing to do.

You must have a pretty broad definition of what a main character is.

Again killing off Rick or the show isn't good still makes no sense. And apparently that's what you think. Do you want the main character in all shows you watch killed off? I think I am done debating with you. I appreciate Greg and Matt M debating with me and Justin, etc because it feels like a friendly debate. Any time YOU say anything it seems like you're being an a*hole for the sake of being an a*hole, in my opinion, so it riles me up too. I could be reading you wrong, and if so I apologize, but I don't think so, so that is a pretty worthless apology.

We will just have to agree to disagree and I will continue watching the show and enjoying it and rooting even harder they never kill off Rick both because I like his character and just to be a jerk. Thanks.
