The Legacy Collection '08-'10 / Re: Recent Legacy Purchases
« on: March 5, 2009, 08:40 AM »

BTW: I saw in the two Walmarts that I went, has re-loaded the pegs with the CT 327th Star Corps, and oddly has the body of R5-A2, instead of the left leg  of MB-RA-7   :-\

So if you could't find Jawas to complete the astromech, now you know what to look  ;)

All the figs from older waves that are packed in with the wave 5 stuff have the new droid pieces if I remember correctly.

Wow just wow.

Now cut Romo and Fire Wade Phillips.

Oh and Cut Bobby Carpenter

I think it's hilarious they released TO.

And yeah go ahead and release Romo, then you can go pick up one of the other QBs out there that are so good. Oh wait there aren't any. Just ask the Vikings. I wouldn't be too quick to drop a younger QB who still has potential even if the big games aren't his thing so far.

I also have memories of my card collecting days and remember getting tired of it because you would spend so much money buying something without knowing what you were going to get and then ending up with multiples of the same thing and not any of another. That is the beauty of toy collecting. You know what you're getting. I'm not huge into GH stuff anyway, but I won't "randomly" buy these if I can buy a 2 pack where I know what I'm getting. If kids enjoy it then great, but I don't like it.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Your Opinions of George Lucas
« on: March 4, 2009, 10:57 AM »
I think that anyone who expected the Prequels to be as good as the originals is diminishing how awesome the originals are and how difficult it is to make something that awesome.

I'm not going to hate on Lucas. I enjoy the prequels because they are Star Wars and they still brought more story to light, but I think some of there flaws weren't just because it's difficult to have the magic of the originals. A lot of it was because George has too many yes man and a gigantic ego.

There are certain parts of the prequels where I literally cringe because the dialouge is so bad. And I don't think all the people in on making this movie missed it. I think George got an idea in his head and that is what he was going to do no matter what. So if people want to criticize him for that they can. He isn't immune just because he made the originals so good.

All in all, of course, we all need to be very thankful to George for bringing so much enjoyment into our lives, Ep 1-6 and everything else that goes along with it. The fact we are so critical about it shows how much we love it.

They actually changed the opening two weeks ago when there was a new episode. I am so glad the show got picked up for 2 more years. It has been a long time since it has been as good as it used to be but it still is a great show.

Again, I don't think they can go "too far" by making one book that is a horror novel. I think it will be interesting if it is a one time thing.

I don't get Terminator. Why even air these episodes? They are worthless.

Vikings close to deal for QB Rosenfels

I guess Jackson isn't that good, but is this that much of a step up?  Rosenfals played ok in those games, but not really stellar.  I guess I'm asking if this will make a difference?

Any word yet on who/when the Vikings get the home opener?

I'm not saying that Rosenfel is the best QB ever, but he actually can throw a ball and with the Vikings running game and defense that is what they need. They weren't going to get a super star, but the fact they are admitting T Jack isn't their future makes me so happy.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: CW Turbo Tank Coming Christmas 2009

Didn't the article say out in time for Christmas?  Spring is a tad early, but I'm not complaining.

I am complaining. I wanted time to save up for this thing. If it comes out in spring I'll just skip it most likely. Which probably is a good thing I guess. So maybe I will recant my complaint.

And at some point the Fonz jumps a shark with his speeder bike.   ::)

I don't think you can "jump the shark" in a book that isn't even in a series. If this was a story in a 10 book series or certainly from one of the movies maybe the Fonz could have shown up (and I'm still not sold on that).

Meteorologist = The only job that you can be wrong 90% of the time and still keep your job.

They were having a really hilarious conversation about that one morning on "Mike and Mike in the Morning" on ESPN.

I agree with Greg. There is way too much difference from item to item in this line for them to all be the same price.

Anybody seen the second wave of Clone Wars 2-Packs (Luminara et al.) yet?

My friend and I saw these, I bought the Padme/Jar Jar, he bought the rest at least 3 months ago at a Target and I've never seen them again or heard anyone else say they have since so I don't know what that was all about.
