Vikings close to deal for QB Rosenfels

I could deal with that!!!

I'll try not to think about the fact that the Vikings could have made the exact same trade last offseason and what that could have meant this last season. :-\

Anyone else find it a bit weird that it appeared John was hitting on the chick at the funeral considering his girlfriend tried to kill herself not that long ago.

It was odd. I hope that they end the story with Reily and Dereks chick soon. They both just bother me.

The funeral thing was odd.

I don't mind Reily but I can't stand Derek's chick. And as far as their stories ending soon, when the gets cancelled in a couple of months ALL the stories will be gone.

It's great that he won.  But let's be honest, if he were alive, he probably wouldn't have won this.  No matter how good, you don't win individual awards for comic book or scifi/fantasy movies (exception; Don Ameche for Cocoon).

I'm not sure you are right here. I was pretty sure that when I finally saw the movie that Heath's performance would not be as good as the hype. I was wrong. He was that good and I think he still may have gotten that recognition alive or not.

I am now 95% sure some combo of the writers/producers/FOX want this show cancelled after last night's episode.

I'm not going to say that not buying at $9+ a piece on principle doesn't have validity, but I get way too much enjoyment out of the collecting to stop for that reason. I lose out more on my happiness by not buying for principle than what I would gain in my principles if I didn't buy.

I think this is such a hard question to answer. I want to say I will cut down on what I buy due to price increase, but that's a lot easier to say than to due when the product is in your hands. Even if everyone doesn't keep buying everything, I think enough people will be buying stuff from each line that its hard to see the "TOO MUCH" threshold being reached soon to me. I think the prices coming down and quantity we see in ie a BP going back up will coincide with the economy as opposed to something we as collectors do ourselves.

I just reread what I typed and I don't think I made any sense.

When I compared the two AT-TEs I didn't see any difference other than that gold paint. However, I can't guarantee there aren't others (which means I probably shouldn't have tried to answer your question since I didn't really add anything new).

Go right ahead Nick.  I already said I'll allow it.    :-*    :D

I am a little pissed at you though because I thought I was going to be the only one collecting the Strawberry Shortcake line and now I'm going to have to compete with you. I heard your work Target was going to be the "Plymouth Target for Legacy wave 5" for the Shortcake stuff too.

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Admiral Ackbar

Where in the world is a new 3 3/4" Ackbar. It has been more than a decade since they made the only Ackbar fig (POTF2 and after). I don't get it at all.

Who the frak cares about Lumiya?  I don't even know who she is and could care less.  You guys really think this was the coolest thing shown at Toy Fair?  Me thinks she needs her own thread if you guys are that into her.

I gotta agree with knashdx here. Just because you don't like the CPs doesn't mean plenty of the rest of us can't. Don't buy em, but let us talk about them.

I will definitely be picking up the Rebel Pilots set particularly for Shira Brie. Gotta support the Marvel Characters as much as possible so they keep making more. This one, and the Lumiya comic pack are awesome!

I am so glad by the end of the year we will have both "versions" of Shira. I'm very excited about that, but certainly am not looking forward to hunting the wastelands/garbage dump that most WMs are for the EVOs.

TV-9D9 / Re: Conan O'Brien "M*st*bating Bear" Frozen in Carbonite

I saw that too.  Very funny and I liked the attention to detail to the Carbonite bear. :)

And boy is Carrie Fisher even bigger than I thought.  Wowza.

I was shocked at how big Fisher is too. I guess I haven't seen her lately.

« on: February 18, 2009, 08:40 AM »
Last night on Conan O'Brien they froze the Maturbating Bear in carbonite to retire him. Then Carrie Fischer came in said you can't do that and unfroze him. The bear then made a run for it, escaped "Fugitive" style and at the bottom of the waterfall Carrie Fischer brought him onboard her yacht where they drank champagne together. Very hilarious.

TRUs aren't nearly as easy to hit on a regular basis with there being so many less than Targets and WMs. And just like others have said, its hard to believe anything that goes one store exclusive can't have a super long life left.

I won't die with this line going away, but I'd rather it stay that go.

I couldn't disagree with you guys more. I love this line. I agree the repaints are annoying, but then don't buy them (Not that I should be telling people not to cave on things since I do all the time in most of the basic fig stuff). Don't buy AT-TE repaint 34, but to get things like the Death Star, Mon Calamari ships, Trade Federation ships, things that are way to big or not necessarily well known enough to make a 3 3/4" version of. I love it. Please don't take this from me Hasbro.
