Jocasta's Reading Room / Re: Fate of the Jedi

Another FYI. I don't know about the rest of you but I almost always have to buy my SW books (if I want them the day they come out) at Barnes & Noble or Borders and they are like $25 for a hardcover. But thankfully this time it looks like "Abyss" will be available at Target for just $18.70 even though they didn't have the first two books in the series. So it's like getting a free paper back or a 1/4 of the 12th season of "The Simpsons" for free tomorrow.

Not sure where to post this.  Move if needed.  I need to sell off a bunch of stuff and thought I would start with all the figs that werent in the movies, books, comics, games, etc. Help me out if you can.  I know the list will be huge.  Even if a figure was in a cut scene I still plan to collect those types of figs.

Thaks in advance 8)

Wait, all the figures that WEREN'T in the movies, books, comics, games, etc.? What is left? Wouldn't that be a list of zero figures?

I'm glad you pointed that out. That was my first thought, but then I thought is seemed so obvious maybe I was missing something and was going to sound like a moron if I said that (not that I don't sound like a moron most of the time anyway).

Go Vikings and Patriots!!!

People are kidding themselves when they think the fear Vick's dogs were feeling, the feer a deer fleeing from a hunter, or the cow that has been stuck in a tiny space for its life while it is fed unnatural foods and then is injured but noone cares and it lives the rest of its life that way until its brought to the slaughter house are all feeling differently. No doubt.

But when we are talking about the motivation the human repsonsible for the animal's death, that is where Vick's is so hard to come to terms with. With that being said we are responsible for the cow's horrible life when we buy the burger NOT just the commercial farmer. But you have to recognize the mind set is different.

I am not a vegetarian but pretty close (although that's like saying your sort of pregnant). I never have meat in the house. I don't order it in restaraunts very often. But I love a hamburger and will fall off the wagon when I let myself. And where I would never ever want to go hunting and don't get why people do and think it is a horrible shame people will turn a blind eye to the horrendous way the animal they are eating lived and died in unnatural ways, I still think there is a difference in what Vick did compared to you sitting down to eat a hamburger or even you going out hunting.

I am going to stop now or this won't end and I'll get pissy.

And to get back to a NFL topic, T Jack still sucks.

But, like I (think I) said... he did his time, I'm willing to give him his shot at showing everyone that he's reformed.  I'm just glad he's not doing it on the team I follow.

Exactly how I feel!!!!!!

And now to talk about quarterbacks that never thought electricuting dogs with jumper cables was okay........ It sure was good to see Tom Brady look so good yesterday (I know it was pre-season).

I've been super hyped since I saw the first preview. I'm glad to hear it's living up to the hype so far.

I cant wait for PETA to show up in Philly on gameday. Those guys are gonna get tore a new one. ;)

I'm sure PETA is really scared of you.

If Vick was gonna sign then with someone then I'm glad it was with a team I despise already.

People do deserve second chances, BUT show some real remorse first. Then get your second chance. Someone who's brain told them it was fun to watch dogs kill each other and then that it was ok to kill the "losers" himself in unthinkable fashion, I'll just leave it at that.

I was watching ROTJ during commercials of the baseball game last night and I'm sure I've asked this question before, but when are they going to invent the drug/device that lets you watch these movies again without knowing what is going to happen. I want to see Vader and Yoda for the first time again. I want to soil myself when Vader says "I am your father". I want to watch Vader pick up Palpatine and toss him down the tube with his girly scream.

There's a prototype image of Nom Anor in the new issue of ToyFare (#146).  According to the article, he's due out in a comic 2-pack that should be in stores in Fall '10.

Now that is good stuff!!!!!! Bring on Nom!!!!!

So based off the front page news the Y Wing will be in stores any day now is that correct? I was liking the first in store date way off in Oct. I wanted that extra time to save up that $65. Oh well.

What the heck do the White Sox think they are doing? They can't get Rios now too. The AL Central clearly has a stirct rule that states you can only get out your coin purse to pay new players. Oh wait that is just the Twins CHOICE of how to do things? Never mind then..........

I would much rather pay $2 more than a basic figure for it now than wonder if they are going to have it almost two months from now still (which you'd hope with their add they would) and then have $30 worth of stuff I want. To me if you buy $30 worth of stuff just to get it for free, not because it's things you need, then your paying $30 for Ponds.

Also known as a Michael Vick. :)

Yes, those are interchangeable.

However crappy a QB Vince Young is, comparing him to that ****head is unfair.

That is a VERY good point. Certainly I am only talking on the field performance.

What's a Vince Young?

I believe it's a term used to describe a crappy over-rated QB.

Also known as a Michael Vick. :)

Yes, those are interchangeable.
