I have the scanned artwork for that if you wanted to print out your own Death Star.

Yeah that'd be cool!

This may appeal to no one else, thankfully it only appealed to a couple others online and not very much. May also technically belong in another thread, but my most recent 6" Black Series purchase:

Talked myself into 1/23 (made that up) of a Palitoy Death Star. Picked up the half circle piece that has the Death Squad Commanders looking out the Death Star viewport while they round Yavin. Makes a cool backdrop for loose figs.

From both my past Target employment knowledge and what I was told at a couple local Targets this week many of them have "trapped" them on a transition pallet in back that will all be new stuff for that specific aisle when it resets so the likelihood you'll get an employee to rummage through a pallet for them isn't too high.

Looks like the Jawa in question sold for $100 so someone either got a really nice deal or I will sell them my fake VC Jawa for $50 if they want two.

Thanks for the info! Very helpful!

Mods feel free to combine this somewhere else or delete it for that matter (though I'd appreciate the chance for someone to respond and not that you needed my "ok" to do that).

Anyone know the general time table of when people realized the scarcity of the vinyl cape Jawa? And then how quickly did the $ value shoot into the multiple hundreds to the thousands? Could you have picked one up in the mid 90's for $100 or had the market already realized how low the supply was?

I have no idea when I found out how rare he is, but it certainly was after I started "re" collecting in the 90s, not when I was a little kid playing with my toys.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

This may just be me talking to myself, but why are people fighting over this for $177 (and rising)? My AFA graded carded one was $40 less than that. No one else may care, but it made me feel good to "post" my confusion.

Here is a shot of all of them. I know it doesn't show much detail, but I'm too lazy to post any more photos. Nothing is super high quality, but for the price I got them all I think they are nice.

My apparent new obsession is customs made from vintage figs so they look like real vintage.
Recent purchase was less than it would have cost to buy six figures in a store today and I got a seventh for free. Listed from least to most excited about.

Mon Mothma (she was the freebie), Kneesaa, ZX3 (from vintage "Droid World" comics and read along books), Slave Leia (she needs a paint touch up or she'd be higher up the list), Muftak (made from a Chewie body and custom mold head, I think it's spot on for what the real vintage would have looked like), Mallatobuck (Chewie's wife from Holiday Special, pretty much Chewie's body with hips and a chest and a few other tweeks), and last but not least Jaxxon (I've never actually read these comics from way back when, but he's been on enough EU wish lists that I had to have him, the custom molded head is really cool in a funny kind of way).

I know that technically this is the wrong thread, but I bought both of these for MY Star Wars collection so I'm posting here.
Recent universally acknowledged SW rip offs:

1980 Playmobil GE5P. Pretty much R2D2 with arms.

1977 "Ideal" 12" Knight of Darkness. I have him lined up with my 15" vintage Vader and my 12" vintage Lili Ledy Vader. It looks like the "Evolution of Darth Vader".

Saw "Transformers" for the 4th time today.

Update-Just checked IMDB and apparently there are four different "Transformers" movies and I've seen them all once. Can anyone verify that?......

And if I find out Nicola Peltz left "Bates Motel" mid season last season to go shoot this I'm gonna have to introduce Michael Bay's crotch to my foot.

Just thought I'd post this if anyone is interested. I know if I hadn't bought one semi recently I'd have jumped on this one. Sounds like it has a couple issues and isn't complete, but a great price for a "starter" one.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The "Space" Issue
« on: June 29, 2014, 01:15 PM »
The "space" issue has been one I've been ignoring for many a year now. But as I've gotten more and more willing to let loose vintage stuff be a part of my "official" collection I've started to think about opening some 1995+ stuff. It really is fun to actually "interact" with the toy. That being said I can't bring myself to go all in. I really do like a lot of the packaging AND there is no turning back.

So my newest thoughts are to open most of my stuff that isn't "basic figure" scaled. So 12", 6", Mighty Muggs, Unleashed, Galactic Heroes, etc.

Anyone else out there ever do anything like that? I can't decide how much it really is going to help with how much 3 3/4" stuff there is. And my biggest question really is; has anyone ever started opening their stuff and then regretted it down the line? I only hear the "I'm so glad I took the plunge stories", but there has to be people out there who have been disappointed in the end.

Couldn't not grab the POTF version for under $60 so he arrived today. I am up to four of these (Yak Face, Greedo, Lando, Fett) and each one almost pushes me over the edge to buying more and more and then I pull out my wallet and I'm back at the top of the cliff.
