Jocasta's Reading Room / Re: Fate of the Jedi

Done with "Apocolypse". I'd give it a B-. Won't say anything as far as spoilers go.

There was some interesting stuff. The force balance thing and the stuff from the CW cartoon (I'll keep it at that to stay away from spoilers) not so sure about what to think. Which coincides with what Abeloth is. I know most SW stuff isn't "realistic" but felt that stuff was little outside the realm of what I like imagining is real in the SW world.

Interesting to see where they go next.

MattFury don't read this or anyone reading "Fate of the Jedi: Apocalyse",

They bring the "Alter of Mortis" Father, Son, and Daughter into this book. I'm not really sure what my point is, but I didn't see that coming. I haven't read much past the point of them becoming apart of the story, but hopefully it will make those episodes not seem so far fetched.

I've only managed to get about 170 pages into "Apocalypse" so far, but I keep alternating between excitement to find out what Abeloth is and fear because of how outlandish I expect it to be.

I have a feeling Matt is the only other person reading this book and you are probably done, but just in case spoiler alert.......

(I vomited a little when the Killiks showed up. Man I hated those books)

Pain in the butt week. Two Mondays ago our one rat had a tumor removed in his leg. But it was wrapped around his nerve so he lost some use of the foot. He must have caught it on something because he started bleeding bad. We have him in a wrap and it's getting better/not bleeding quite as often, but now that it's healed some it looks like the bone is sticking out of his toe. Brought him to the vet yesterday and they took x rays. the last two bone is his one toe are gone. We and the vet are concerned he'll keep walking weird on it and ripping it open so we think we are going to have his leg removed. Pain in the butt.

We do have the best vet ever though. We've loved her ever since we started bringing our animals there.
$50 to verify tumor (office visit price)
About $500 to have tumor removed and sent in for analysis.
$0 for trip to vet hour and a half after they closed to look at bleeding. Vet tech was there, he left whenever they left, went home and made a leather booty for our rat.
$40 next morning but that was for needles and IV to give rat at home from.
$0 for visit yesterday to look at bone sticking out and x rays.
And $0 for the leg removal if we do it. She's just doing it as a part of the tumor surgery since it didn't work out as we had hoped.

Eh?  Chatting with yourself Nick?   ;)

I was "talking" to anyone who has read the comics and would know what I meant and to myself  ;). Guess it doesn't ruin anything now, (just in case you don't want to read this) ................................  but yeah in the comic Shane was about to kill Rick and then gets shot himself by Carl just way earlier on in the story. Kind of a coincidence I chose to read the comic and think it would be weird without Shane and then he gets killed in the show 2 days later. So conversation with self over (at least online).

I won't say much in case this still happens at a different time in the show, but I just finished reading the first volume, sorry I don't know my comic terms well, Graphic Novel (the first bunch of comics together in one book) and holy crap that was different. I can't even imagine what would be happening in the show if they hadn't done it differently.

That was a coincidence. They just waited a little longer in the show.

Someone on RS claims to have found the Scuba set at Target. That has to either be a mistake, a lie, or just a bizarre fluke.

Has anyone heard/seen the Scuba set or the other new one since this RS post?

Looking forward to picking up "Apocalypse" tomorrow. Interesting to see how this series ends. Kind of bad timing for my reading schedule right now, but I'll force time somewhere.

That makes the win the Vikings had in Week 15 against the Skins all the more painful...ugh, losing AP and 3 first round picks, brilliant!

I'd have appreciated it if you hadn't pointed this out.

Glad I read it so I know a little more about Revan now. The book left me feeling like I didn't get any sort of closure whatsoever, but I realize that's because I haven't played the KOTOR or TOR games. So that's my fault.

Time to move on to something non SW until "Apocalypse" comes out in a couple weeks.

Hopefully season 3 will be them in Canada with no zombies, just living life. I bet the people that hate that they've been on the farm this whole season would love that.

Rick had the cold weather thought at the end of this last episode.
