Gentle Giant / Re: Gentle Giant Mini-Busts
« on: July 22, 2009, 01:02 PM »
Not sure if anyone is interested just saw  LT. RENZ MINIBUST at rebelscum for $30 plus shipping, I might just have to buy one now.

Are you sure they are selling Renz busts over at rebelscum?

Very sure, it's on the RS front page & at the RS store. $30. is a good deal.

Yes, but in all the times I've been to that site, I've never seen them advertise Renz. ;)

IIRC doesn't he kind of hiss in ESB?  Hopefully they'll have his language be a derivation on that and then use subtitles.

The fact that the show is on Cartoon Network and for kids makes me think if he has any quantity of lines he'll speak basic so little 5 year olds don't have to read it. We can all know he doesn't really speak basic and that he's hissing but it was translated for the kiddies. I think I'll still like Bossk and he won't be ruined.

Without getting into the whole Star Trek/Vong, people hate EU thing again. As much as I am a huge EU and Vong fan I really am disappointed in the Vong fig. Something about it just isn't what I had hoped for. I can't put my finger on it.

I was really tempted on the maskless Storm Shadow today, but I don't want to start down a path.

I'm going to see the Moody Blues next month as my five year wedding anniversary from my wife. I'm really excited about it. It's cool to see the classics before they die. And then were just stuck with the "musicians" that make music nowadays.

They can't all be Steelers and Penguins I suppose.   >:D

That's true, but if you aren't even gonna try then they shouldn't have a team. Selig almost contracted the Twins a decade ago. At least we are trying to win even if we don't spend a ton of money. Why own a team if you don't care to try?

Summer finally arrived, yesterday it hit 28.7 °C & today should go to 28°C & tomorrow 27°. We are staying in the mid 20's for the week thus far with late day or evening thunder boomers.

degrees C? Never heard of it.  ;)

One of the Targets in MN has put the R/C Droids on clearance for 30% off. Might be worth looking into in your neck of the woods if you were waiting for them to be cheaper.

Speaking from my many horrible years of working at Target. Unless Hasbro had the packaging for each line totally different, you can't have different price points on each line because as we all know the stuff mixes together, people would question prices, and it would be a giant pain. Too bad for Target maybe, but that's why they'd never do it in my opinion.

The TRU V-Wing and Hailfire Droid were $39.99 and they were just a fig and a vehicle that wasn't too much bigger than the Dewback.

957
This looks to be battle packed size, so I'd expect a battle pack price.

Yeah, but the second Hasbro puts one of those diamond encrusted "Only at (insert the store name)" stickers on something it has to sell for more.

Yeah I was going to mention that there is about nothing in anything anymore that wasn't taken from another source.

This is some really fascinating talk about Comic Pack TOYS we are having.  ;)

Nothing has compared to the Thrawn trilogy, but it was so good, I think comparing other books to that series isn't the exact same, but is like having expected the prequels movies to be as good as the OT stuff.

It's too hard to argue this on the comp, (this is going to be a lot of fragmented sentences) but I think OT characters do have to die sometimes. It isn't like the writers of the NJO stuff just chose to kill Chewie on their own. To put it mildly I don't enjoy Star Trek so saying NJO stole species doesn't mean much to me because I don't know what you're talking about.

Anyway I'm glad the NJO existed and was 19 books long.
