I picked up the basic version for $80 yesterday at a local hobby shop.

Was the "in memory of Akira Kurasawa" at the beginning for CW or the show beforehand? I thought it was for the show beforehand, but that episode was very "Seven Samurai" and other Akira films. I thought that was really cool, but I hope I'm not making it up.

Bought the "Birth of Vader" BP yesterday. Passed on the others.

Not only are these sets just repacks, it doesn't even seem like Hasbro tried to set them up as scenes like they have been before. Hasbro Dude "Just face him towards the other fig, that's good enough, I need a smoke break".

Where'd you find that? TRU or Target?

I am trying to confirm if any of these have shown up at a Walmart yet.

Thanks!

Target

I pretty much bought the UGH I saw because I felt I should, but these sound like something I actually want.

I still think when you add "one per case" + "chase" + "collector interest/back in the day feel" that these won't last past the first person who sees them and has any idea what they are.

And as far as the UGH stuff, I'm sure depending on where you shop and how often, the availability of these was different, but I never saw them that often.

I love the idea if it weren't for the fact I think they will be a struggle to find.

I think Chewie hit it on the nose.

Unless the vet says something we really aren't expecting to hear it looks like I'll be getting one of my rats euthanized tonight.

Rats are like little dogs which is cool, but they are like little dogs that only live three years which is not cool.

NFL changes overtime format for playoff games
Team winning coin toss must score touchdown to win in sudden death

Honestly, I'm not liking it.  I think it should either be sudden death or a full OT quarter.  Anything else makes it look almost as ridiculous as OT in college football.

AMEN!!!!!! I hate gimicky rules

Eric Casilias (no idea how to spell his last name) was on ESPN today and he told this story:

He and his son were over at Eric's sister's house and she is a Yankees fan. She walks in on Eric's son drinking from the faucet from his cupped hands. She says "why don't you use one of my cups?" and he says "because they all have something about the Yankees on them".

I thought that was great.

The repainted Troopers a underwhelming, but the Kun/Droma set is what I love about the CP line. To get to add those big name Sith (if you're into EU) to your collection is awesome.

RIP CPs

I still am buying the way I have been for most of my colletcing life so the total I buy is the same, but with the stores being so dry what I find is I'm not as excited about Star Wars toys in between buys. So instead of thinking Star Wars all the time, I'm concentrating on something else I collect that I can actually find to buy on a relatively frequent basis.

I feel like over a long enough period of time I could say, " whatever, I'm not gonna hunt, I'll just buy when I'm in a store anyway if I see". So the down time in the middle could lower my interest in the long run if that makes sense.
