Heck if I know what the sets could be?  Not really much to go on except at least one set will be from Jedi.

The Original Trilogy / Re: Death Star Survivors?

I would think the Imps on board would not evacuate.  The only ones that might evacuate were people in the know.  Such as whomever that guy was that came up to Tarkin and suggested to have a Shuttle ready.  Even that guy was saying it as a precaution "There is a danger..."  but not imminent.  I doubt they really thought the whole Death Star would blow.  If anyone did escape it was minimal at best.

Yeah, there were some animatronics or something like that.  It had the Clonetroopers blasting at flying Geonosians overhead and falling.  I thought that would have been a good scene to throw in the film.

I just thought the Geonosians in the arena were spectators and not a fighting force and they just fled for cover.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: What's up with availability
« on: May 12, 2003, 02:14 PM »
I am not up on how it all works with the stores and toy companies.  To me this is what I observe.  For example Toys R Us has had the same figures since X-Mas time or before.  They had a ton of figures in bins that were the same exact figures on the pegs.   It was this way for months.  Then around Feb or so the figs in the bin were gone.  I'd assume they shipped them back to Hasbro or burnt them.   They did not get rid of the figures on the pegs.  They kept them there.  So, the same figs have not moved from the pegs since X-Mas.

Soooo, mesa propose to move the old pre-X-Mas figures that have been on these pegs  to the bin and then put out the new figures that may actually sell.  Is that a difficult concept assuming they have the newer figs in the back?

The parents came back from their trip to DisneyWorld with the first 6 figures in tow.  They seemed like good cards to me.  Anyway I liked them for the most part.  Although this trashcan figure thing I got is kind of lame.  LOL!

I think it looks fine. It's not much different than the POTF2 version.  So, I doubt I'll buy this.  Then again I may see it and say "What the heck I'll get it."

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The frustrations of home buying...
« on: May 8, 2003, 06:15 PM »
I am getting married later this year.  We were all gung-ho about moving to the Phoenix, AZ area.  Then we got to thinking about it.  Heck it would take at least $2000 for us just to move our stuff there.  Then we would need to stay in an apartment to save money and throw in a deposit on top of it.  Then we'd waste money on a commute.  Plus we'll probably start a family shortly within 2 years.  That will take up all our disposable income as well.
So, now we are thinking of just staying with our current jobs and saving our money for a downpayment on a home instead.  Of course we have to find a town that has city sewer around here.  She works in the health deparment and knows the horrors of folks who's septic tank breaks down and have to spend nearly $5000 to replace a thing that takes care of your poop.  No thanks!
So, the search and decision making continues.  It should be an interesting year.  I would like to get a home relatively soon since the interest rates are very low.  The good news is I don't have to get rid of 80% of my Star Wars toys to move :)

I wanted to be an astronaut.  Then I found out I don't like cramped quarters, flying and number one just not all that bright :)

I would assume at some point they would announce a few Star Wars celebrities to sign autographs.  At least that's what they have done the past several years.

For some reason I really want a 12 inch Hammerhead (Momaw Nadon) above all others.

Well I don't know what I am in for.  My parents are on vacation and went to DisneyWorld this week.  They will be home in a few days.  I really did not have much interest in this line.  However, I figure what the heck they are there they may as well buy them for me.  I don't think the R5 wave is there.  I am kind of surprised they have not made the actual vehicle from the ride.  What the heck is Captain Rex going to do out of the package?

Just thought I would say "Hello!" to everyone.  I got the invite from JediMac and thought I'd check the place out.
