Speaking of the Tonnikas, I kinda like this pic (including a good shot of Rycard).

Mine is not terribly different for any of the others already mentioned, but for what it's worth:

1.  Admiral Ackbar
2.  Sim Aloo
3.  Y-Wing pilot
4.  Emperor
5.  Endor Rebel Soldier (Specifically POTF2 version resculpt)
6.  Fozec
7.  Paploo
8.  Nien Numb
9.  Weequay
10.  Weequay skiff master

I think expecting less than $10 for a retro card wave is a pipe dream, personally.  I absolutely agree it's too much, but that doesn't mean Hasbro won't do it.  They seem to love their extra lines being more costly than the standard figures.  Not to mention the default answer of "we don't control the price, that's a retailer decision."  Right.  ::)

No sign at all of wave 6 here in my part of Louisiana.  I'm not worried, but it would be nice if we could catch up with the rest of the country.  Also, I greatly prefer the head on the second Hoth trooper.  It seems more iconic of that trooper type to me.

I saw it for a second time, loved it again, and something occurred to me later.  Maybe this was mentioned earlier in the thread, but a cool little homage was Kirk eating an apple during the Kobayashi Maru test, just as he ate an apple when explaining how he cheated in the KM test in ST 2!

I think to put the Tonnika sisters on the list is a waste of a space.  Hasbro has already mentioned, ad nauseaum, that they won't produce them! I'm also going to omit Ponda and Evazan because they all but confirmed them.

Here's my list, then:
1) Uncle Owen
2) Saurin
3) Yerka Mig
4) Garouf Lafoe
5) Mos Eisley citizen (preferably the woman with the striped robe)
6) Black tunic Imp officer
7) Scanning trooper
8) Mosep
9) Tarkin
10) Solomahal

Not only glossy- but sticky too!  There is definitely a tackiness associated with it (no jokes, please  :-*)

I'd accept a price hike for nothing at this point...  No offense DB, but that set's just about right at $25 to me...

I should probably clarify: I meant that if cost is the issue of why Hasbro is going back to the slim design of BP with all re-pack figures, then perhaps they could charge a little more to give us more desirable pieces in these sets.  At least, I'd rather $30 BPs with all-new vehicles and figures in them than the current plan of $25 repack sets.

I have to echo the sentiment about Hasbro's changing the Battlepack formula away from the Yavin style.  I swear, sometimes I think they believe they're giving us a gift with sets like these, but they "don't want to spoil us".  What the hell?  Is it cost?  Wouldn't everybody here accept an increase in price to $30 or so if we got great sets like these?  Imagine a Hoth base equivalent with sled, driver, R3, and a Echo trooper or Snowspeeder pilot... but no, they want to go back to selling sets of Ep3 clones or heroes.  I don't get it- most stores around here are clogged with BoMarr assault BPs, yet there are no Yavin sets remaining...

Like so many, I made my own Snowspeeder Luke, but I'll be looking forward to an official production version.  Hope he is sculpted bulky enough.

I'm tempted to get the second pilots set during the sale, but like you mentioned, Jesse, $15 would have been nicer.  There's something about buying duplicates of what I already have that makes me a cheapskate.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Another "new" TIE Fighter?

My big wing TIE is hanging from my ceiling with no pilot inside, so an updated cockpit is of no interest to me.  But, I'm glad for you guys who will use the interior as it does seem more film accurate.

What is up with that astromech?  That is not the droid Wedge used at Yavin *or* Endor!  How freaking lame is that?  Does Hasbro even bother to watch the movies anymore when designing this stuff?

I did some looking, and found it very difficult to make out Wedge's ANH droid.  The Angelfire site has some pics that seem to show R3-T2's all-red dome.  This is apparently the same droid from Mos Eisley.  Is that right?

Anthony,

The skirt's probably just a glued piece of white fabric.  Most "softgoods" skirts are just that.  Some are sewn, but I'm wagering this one isn't.  It'd be easy to pop into the fabric store and get a piece of white knit (a yard would skirt up an army) if you wanted.  It'd be real easy to fix that if you've got skirtless guys needing fixin'.

I'm probably going to custom a couple as they seem to have different cuts in the movie, actually.  It'll add a little variety I think.

I've been thinking of doing that in order to make longer skirts.  I'm fairly sure the coats hung much lower (*snicker*) than these, and should appear thicker in material too.

Someone had the idea of making a collector/consumer-based store-to-store transfer system.  As you are preparing to go on vacation, buy up several Yarnas or what have you from your store, and return them to a bare peg equivalent store elsewhere.  This way, those folks starved for figures can have some of the extras we big city folk are hoarding  :-*
