I passed on all of them. They are bad, and $10 at Target and $11.50 at TRU to boot.
There's a couple I'd consider at $5 clearances like Goblin and Ock.

My understanding is that the Chitauri aren't even from the regular Marvel Earth-616. It seems that they are from the Ultimate Universe which I do not follow pretty much at all.
I'd have preferred Skrulls. Or Kree. Or Annihilation Wave. All of which have attempted to invade Earth numerous times.
But considering the Chitauri tried to take over Earth, they really didn't factor into the story much anyhow.

Do they come painted or all white?
They are all white. You need black paint for the eye lenses, grey for the mouth and a couple other areas and blue for the vents on the rebreathers. Also what I noticed is that depending on which body you are putting the helmets on, you will need to dry brush on varying amounts of flat white paint to get it to match, since every Hasbro stormtrooper issue was slightly different. Believe it or not the way the Hasbro bodies are, sometimes you need to add a very slight blue tinge to the white paint. I think that was the VOTC body.
Unless you are semi-experienced with customs it can be tricky. Just a bit of a learning curve. I will paint helmets for anyone that want them for a few bucks more a helmet.
