Well this thread had taken an unfortunate turn.

I took a pic of the big fat 208.99 display at TRU today if any of you moderator types want it for the news. PM me and I will host or email it.

Wow, that's a bit of a hike even over the other MTT hike we saw...  What store was it DR?

Nanuet, NY

Couldn't find the MTT thread so I might as well put this here.  Went on a mega toy and comic run this afternoon, and came across the MTT in Toys 'R' Us.  The price on the shelf and the price it scanned at?  $208.99

This is what happens when people who shouldn't do drugs, do drugs.  Large scale vehicles get made with inaccurate play features, and then they get marked for double what they're worth.

In other news, TRU has BOGO all month long.  Up to about 15 shock troopers from this sale alone.  I saw almost nothing after TPM wave, except a couple figures I picked up and traded, then all of the sudden BOOM tons of cases of the sandtrooper/blue clone lieutenant/shocktrooper wave.

The stupid ball joint on the neck should be standard by now.

I trust everyone figured out from the clues today that it's the Tonnika Sisters.

Now we know.  And knowing is half the battle!

I looked at a couple of the single carded Chitauri the other day and it looked like, although they'd the nixed elbow and knee articulation, they left an ankle joint.  An ankle joint without knee joints makes absolutely zero sense.

True story.  The ankles were articulated for sure.  Too bad the arms and legs went back to 1977 Kenner articulation aside from that.

I think the designers are passing a huge bong around the room when they make some of these decisions.  Definitely during case assortment decisions.

Target and Walmart have the Chitauri on chariots for $12.99

The figure shows elbow and knee ball joints on the package, yet the figure is not articulated in these areas.  The arms and legs are straight sticks that do not bend.

I noticed this at Target and left the 2 Chitauris I was going to buy on the shelf.

That is a new low from Hasbro as far as I can tell.

Another solid trade with FG.  Perfect communication, delivery, item as described!  Great trader.

I don't think I'm forgetting anything but I'm only on like my 3rd sip of coffee over here.

How are these packaged? Four of each in a case or two of each in a case?

There were four of each  at the TRU where I found them this morning, so I either came across 1 case or 2....

Two of each per case, from what I've seen evidence of.

Yeah there was 1 case sitting on the floor today at TRU with 2 of each in it.

Is it a crime to show up at a TRU and slice a pound of fat/skin off of our abdomens and plop it down on the counter when we're paying for our star wars toys?  Disturbing the peace maybe?  It's gotta be illegal.

I have a few police officer friends I'll run it by them and report back.

BTW, $39.99, which I reported on our front page...  DarthChuckMC reported on twitter these were $45 down in Orlando I believe, and that hopefully was just down there...  Is TRU allowed to scalp?  ???

One can hope these don't go up in price.

I saw stuff like this in my TRU except worse (Marvel Legends marked up to $22.99 from $15.99) and was like WTF?

A manager at the TRU closest to me explained that there are now a bunch of TRU "test stores" around the country.  Select TRU stores that jack up the price on certain items.  Then they track sales.  If the sales are equivalent to other areas, this is viewed as free money and the price hike goes nationwide.

My TRU is one such test store.  And I am so lucky to be paying more.

My store is currently gouging like mad on Marvel but Star Wars vintage is $9.99, they were $11.99 for a while but the old stale TPM **** just sat there for like 4 months.

Just crazy when you think about it.  Sometimes it is a wave here or there, but this year - at least so far - has been nothing since Feb.

Yup.  Walmart and Target especially for me.  TRU got a trickle of the shocktrooper/sandtrooper/blue lieutenant clone wave last week.  And that's it.

The can't cut list never makes any sense to me.  It floats week to week.  Sometimes my studs are on it, other weeks they aren't.  It's a pain in the parts, and in the past the commissioner has always granted can't cut list players to be dropped if the owner requested.  Most often those events were due to severe injury to the player.

In any event, feel free to cut "can't cut list" players.  I'm fine with it.  And it's always been that way from what I recall.
