JD Sports Forum! / NHL 2007 - 2008
« on: September 28, 2007, 12:08 AM »
Starting this thread for the sole reason of forcing you guys to have to look at me and Trotz every time you post.

I went to our Meet the Team Party today and he assured me we aren't nearly as bad as the Canadian press says we are. How's everyone feel about their teams this year?

I'm honestly optimistic, and really just glad to have a team at this point.

HoloElvis, TN Daniel, and I got home a couple of hours ago and even though we had a blast, it feels great to be home again. Anyone else home yet? I've seen Dave posting so I know he's around...

Watto's Junk Yard / The last days of Virex...
« on: October 6, 2004, 04:49 PM »
In keeping his spirit alive, I believe I may have stumbled across one of the last acts of the dearly departed Virex.

It appears he was working for the Oklahoma Tourist Department, but disappeared shortly after publishing this masterpiece.

Watto's Junk Yard / The Howard Stern Show
« on: October 6, 2004, 03:26 PM »
Just read on the CNN/Money page that Howard Stern has inked a deal to ditch radio and move to satellite radio beginning in 2006. I'm not the biggest Stern fan (grew up with Kevin & Bean in LA), but I am a Sirius subscriber and am happy for anything positive they can muster.

I've had Sirius for almost a year now and it's probably my favorite purchase of the year. I travel for work very often, and it's so convienent to just take it with me and plug it into my rental car and not have to worry about carrying around cases of CD's or finding something on local radio. Not to mention I can log in at work and listen on my laptop, which makes work much more enjoyable!

If Kevin and Bean ever take their show onto satellite I will be one happy camper, but for now i guess I'll settle for Stern over the crap I currently have on local radio...Bob and Tom.

Complete crap their show is...

Watto's Junk Yard / The Fugitive
« on: June 22, 2004, 11:16 AM »
Wonder if this is the same guy that murdered Harrison's wife?

Missing arm, missing foot, same difference!

Our good pal JediMAC better be careful, he's not out here in Nashville two days and convicts are already breaking out of prison. Lock the doors Matty!

Watto's Junk Yard / The Amazing Fainter!!
« on: June 3, 2004, 07:38 PM »
I happened to be out to lunch with some co-workers today and caught this live on ESPN. Nothing like watching a spelling bee on a muted TV to keep you entertained while you munch on some hot wings. Click on the link about halfway down to see someone who may not want to go into a career of public speaking...or at least spelling. I guess the kids older brother was the champ a couple of years ago so he was probably feeling the pressure to live up to the hype!

Watto's Junk Yard / Something I need to get off my chest...
« on: March 2, 2004, 04:32 AM »
...I only post here in the Junk Yard, I have absolutely nothing to discuss or add to any of the actual Star Wars related threads, hope that doesn't tick off any of the staff here.

I still collect SW, but I think I ran out of things to talk about SW related two years ago. Do I have to leave now, or am I allowed to hang out still?

I've decided to start a new game where I attempt to post an actual picture of my favorite guy from Oklahoma, Matty B. I'm enlisting Google to help my search of putting a face to a name, and figure if I search "Matt/Oklahoma" enough, I'll get lucky and find my man crush.

My first submission...

Is that you Mr. Bojangles?

Howdy folks, just thought I'd let everyone know who cares that I've signed up here and am ready to be warmly welcomed!

Or not so warmly, your call really...

I crave acceptance!
