In general it's a pretty good mix Theta...  I usually get good deals on loose stuff, army builders, random junk that I want.  There's lots of vintage at it usually which of course is pricey.  Usually a healthy mix of carded and loose there too.

Lots of carded modern at the show but the prices are usually disturbing.  Loose stuff is usually much more acceptable price-wise.

Let me know if you're coming into town for the show Theta.  I didn't realize you lived that close by.  I'm guessing you're in Ohio somewhere then.

I'll not be at the show Saturdays for the foreseable future, but instead I'll be hitting it on Sunday.

The show is always great though.  This will only be its second time at the new venue though, so it's still going through some growing pains, but was still busy back in October.  I imagine it'll be busy this April too.

Anyway, you can always find something good at the show...  The "latest" stuff usually has a pretty outrageous pricetag on it, but older stuff is often pretty easy to obtain at a fair price.  I have a rule of never paying more than its original retail cost, and I've stuck to that since I started collecting, but yet I've always spent a lot at the TOy Show, so I manage to always get a LOT of great deals.

I'm very glad for your information Jesse!  :)

My wife liked the plan for us to stay in a hotel room for 2 days, perhaps arriving saturday, that would give us a chance to meet each other  ;)

And  indeed, I'm  an Ohioan just in front of Lake Erie to give you a hint  ;).

I'm sad to heard of how expensive one  can find the newest stuff, but of course, it was to be expected,& I will follow your rule ( not buying at scalping price).

I hope this is the way or secret if I'm not mistaking of getting  a richer SW collection for a fair price  of course not in one day...

PS: I always wonder, how a big collector like Darth Soundwave got his huge Clone collection, he woulnd't reveal where he got them from, but he stated that he got each figures at $2.50 each, and I know that few local stores in the same area wouldn't ever have that amount of each clones that he has... so there must be a Star Wars Black Market somewhere  :), cuz he said as well that he is not "rich" but indeed has one of the richest collection ever seen....So my question is: Where Tha F*** he got it from?  :)

Contact you soon Jess if this goes on for real!  ;), just looking for a good time with fans & family & not just up to  my foolish dream , but at least I expect to find the clone variants that I dont have  & other characters of interest.

Would like to visit one day

I'm about 2hr away, never been in one, but seen people bringing their huge stuff at diferent malls, price goes to ok  to extreme...

.For how much goes the price per figures, vehicle etc., at these conventions, retails, aforable, or ?

.Can one find people with their loose figure/vehicle collection & return home with a good  lot, or you seen just carded stuff?

Thats my main reason to visit, 2nd just for my wife, kids & I experience a diferent stuff, probably on a Saturday.

Can one of the clone experts out there tell me the difference between the Red Clone Commando and his Order 66 counterpart?

Not sure the details that u want, but I know the diference between the two since I have the O-66 red one, and Arc's variants.

Evo Arc Alpha 17:

a) Head is a new sculp of old Jango
b) legs straps are painted red
c) dots rank on the chest
d) Kama from black arc mandalorian pack- no holdsters for pistols
e) arm comunicator unwired or unattached to pauldron
f) new radio aparatus or scanner

Ok Jayson, here was the answer by Robert, the illustrator of Omega in Targets etc.,basicly Niner was the Purple but at this point it doesn't matter if Hasbro say its Fi.  :)

Robert:

The short answer to your question is I don't know. Now I'll give you the long answer. The Commando pointing/purple blue paint scheme is Niner and that is something that Lucasfilm wanted to be clear about. When I began work on the illustrations there was confusion as to which characters would have what coloring or distinguishable marks. The understanding was that the color schemes weren't addressed at the time for specific characters so they let me paint them and printed them as is. We didn't nessiceraly say this character is this and that character is that. They just wanted Niner to be clear to the audience. Because the paint scheme issue came up with us at the time it's something that Karen Traviss, the author of the novels and short stories wanted to clear up. So in the second novel Karen specifically made mention of their new color schemes which are black. This can also be seen in the second Commando short story that I also did the illustrations for in Star Wars Insider #87 "ODDS". On the title page the Commando is Atin seen in his black scheme. So currently my belief is that black is the official color scheme of Omega Squad.

I know this didn't exactly answer your question but hopefully it gives you a little insight as to why I can't say exactly who the other characters are. If you'd like to ask any other questions on the artwork that I've done on the Republic Commando stories I would happily try to answer. Thanks and take care.

-Robert

According to Hasbro presentation info the Rep. Commando is Fi Skirata and the Phase I Clone is Alpha-17

that explain his Sev's like gear, but the Color?, I have to check the RC forum, cuz we RC fans are cofused by this, we also asked the Artist of the Art Cover for Omega Targets, he even dont know much about it wich adds the confusion.  :-\

But I think things has been clarified more now, I just dont remember.

Thanks again Jason!  ;)

I like the 3 evo packs its a must.

I can see that the chair doesn't follow the movie high motor bike style, but instead of a low gamer recliner...Maight be due to the nature of the figures, wich wouldn't open the legs wide while in sitting position(PS: I could be wrong, cuz the angle of the photo).... still its an awesome turret.

I share your quriosity about the size,& if will or not fit to the previous Gunships. if not I hope its cuz we would get Larger ones, and hopefuly it will open the back door as well.

If you want some more of those Clone CPs, check out The Outer Rim Collectibles. It's run by a very nice dude who is a friend of mine. Decent prices, good shipping, and very reliable. Perhaps even shoot them an e-mail... they might have loose Commandos for about half the price.

I owe you one Greg, I've contacted him, still waiting  :)   Thanks Friend!

Thanks guys hehe!  I was supossed to have more of the white ones but, couldn't afford more than four comic packs every two weeks... When I was there (TRU's) next time they where gone  :P

@ Greg, you have a point about the gun, I was going to request a cast of the normal gun for all white commandos to one of these casters of the forum, that its something that badders me apart of the lack of articulations, but Commandos are Commandos  ;)

I added the picture of my resent clones, I dont have a place to put my imperials, jedies & sith's etc.

I'm close to collect all Clone variants that has been released till now, after then make a lot of each one of them... I should had them all by now, but my incontrolable lot syndrom unables me that...hope in a couple of months I can do that with more shelves & dioramas in that room.... OOPS and Stands, I hate when they fall after hard work  >:( ;D
