Isn't that just a bummer? Flashes always seem to have adverse effects on my custom, usually washing out all the details i WANT to have seen, and bringing out all the detail I don't (dust, scratches, etc.)

I was always kind of jealous of my buddy who had two (three?) Shadow Troopers, but I eventually got over it as I decided Clones weren't as cool as their fanboyism made them out to be. Nonetheless, I always enjoy a goodcustom. Is this made from an exclusive Utapau Shadow Trooper, or did you paint up a #41 clone?

If this is a repaint, it looks extremely clean, something I can never do with my customs. By clean, I mean the lines are really crisp and straight. I really wish I could see the highlights and weathering you put on him, because it always seems to be those little details that make or break a custom. It's looking good, though!

Yep  a repaint, i didnt care for the production model my self so i came up w/this paint scheme.
thanks for the kind words

hey clone hunter, none taken.  i didnt like the grey myself so kinda did a silverish tone.

thanks chewie, i'll have to take my own pix when i go to VA this month.  u really cant see the metal highlights too well, and that bugs me.  :(

Hey gang!

heres one i did for my brother back in december.  I didnt take the pix beofre i sent it too him, so these were takin by him; so the quality isnt so great.  ;D

I think most of the "flash" glare is actually the metal paint i used for the scarring and highlights.  the detail doesnt show up to well but u should get an idea.  my concept of this guy was to show alot of scoring with mostly metal showing through.  this was cobbled together with leftover clone parts.
upper torso atte gunner, pelvis and legs from a #41.

lmk what u think.

Wowsers!  that is one great Vos.  the texture of the outfit and depth of the hair makes it seem he can just walk off the cover.  the face bar lines could be a little straighter, but by no means takes anything away from this being a truly
fantastic Vos!  Whens the auction?   ;D

I missed the ToyFare version!  do u still have pix of it??

DD -

Thanks man!  I think thats why it took so long to finish it.  I'd rather wait for the right peices than do a mediocur job.  yeah I agree with the Kama, I should have waited to get a better material, but it COULD be possible that they fray some what?  :-\ I used very little silver/metallic paint, and with the white apps and weathering it didnt really come out in the pic; good points all though and i will adjust accorrdingly.  ;D

the jedi is one of my favs thus far. u did the duros Jedi with that body right? thats where i got the idea from.  he's actually be done since december, but never got around to posting and i am so anal about my customs that I wasnt quite sure it was a finished prod or not, im glad i posted him now.  ;D
Sakiyani?  I wondered what species jasper was.

CHEWIE -

thanks Mate! I know, they do look like bad mama jama's. Since we will be seeing cody, hopefully we will see these guys from big H as well.
I was hoping the drybrushing on the hands and head  of the Jedi showed up in the pic.  With the inside picks I took of 'em, the flash tottaly washed out the detail.  Thanks for the praise buddy......now if i could jus' bus'em out fasta like u and DD.  ;D

I think the Parjai trooper look great.  He definitely has the weathered look of the original reference shots.  I think its a real good use of accessories on his belt clip.  As far as the ammo pouch, one thing I done is take pieces of the #41 antenna and cut them into this pieces.  They work very well for the round ammo clips (or whatever they are supposed to be).

Thanks BrentS.  I never though of using the antenna, and since my sculpting  skills are........well i dont have ANY skill in that department; i only used what i had.   ;D

Cheers

Well, I finally got around to doing a Parjai trooper.  the cast is obviously from Glassman, and a very good cast it is.  I did a lot of sanding and triming, i am so anal about getting the right look its not funny.  Most of the reff pix i've seen of these guys, they look as if they've been through the ringer a time or 10.  I used three different white paints to try and match up the #41 trooper.  I dry brushed the body with a flat white to kinda blend in with the helmet.  the accessiories and gear aren't exact, but I'm pretty happy how it came out.  the outside pix dont seem to pick up alot of the helmet detail, but you can get an idea.

The jedi i really like how it turned out.  the drybrushing really brought out the details, and this seems to be my best one yet with the newley learned skill.  ;D

I also dry brushed the hand and head with a dark gray, and I love the effect.  it really brings out all of the detail.

Most definitely one of the better Jedi Luke’s out there.  The concept of using those parts was quite ingenious; I would not even attempt that with my evo's.  Ok maybe if I had 2.  ;D  The hair did strike me as a bit too.....I dont know.....for lack of a better term i'll use Master_Phurbs "froie" (is that even a word?)

BUT, the more i look at ole luke, the more it grows on me. (no pun intended)  :D

I would really like to see Lighter pics to see the detail

again great work man

okay, Jaig eyes are especially given as an honor to clone troopers Neyo and most of his troopers wore jaig eyes but also had standard phase 2 armor.
Every legion has a variety of armor for they're troopers, there is the scout armor, recon armor, standard phase 1 and 2 armor, scuba armor ect. ect.
Neyo's troopers wore a mix, even though not spotted off screen his troopers would wear a variety of different armor as would most legions.

Cool, thanks man.  is there any place I get get an example of what the Jaig Eyes are?
sounds like a pretty cool thing to add.

Neyo didn't have Jaig eyes on his helmet, and he did have the same uniform as others in his outfit.  Fordo had those.  For more Neyo info, see the SW Databank.

thnx  4 the link mate.  still dont know wht jaig i's r.

I think neyo had Jaig eyes on his helmet.
They were also worn by clone assasins.

Thanks guys, yeah that does help.  what are Jaig Eyes?
