I liked how he thanked Steve Guttenberg. That was so random.

I thought the Yoda thing was pretty funny. I watched the whole show actually, and most of it was pretty good. I really liked when Keanu came out and wouldn't say "Whoa"...so they had Andy Richter say it for him.

I don't know if anyone heard this, but when Keanu was about to announce the winner for best movie, a couple of people in the crowd shouted "WYLD STALLYNS!"

That was hilarious.

Keep in mind that from time to time, they have those great sales...and for SOME people, they continue to honor the Kaybee Toy Club 20% off cards (find a nice cashier).

You could potentially get it for 80!

That never happens!!

I don't believe in Scalpers any more than I do card benders.....but if I ever ran into a "scalper" I have vowed to become a card bender and ruin his cards before he gets out of the store with them. It's only fair.

 :)

I've actually done that once before, (reached out and smashed a few bubbles) to prove a point to a guy I thought was a scalper.....but I ended up buying the figures in question.

I know you carded collectors suffer the indignities of bent cards all the time, but I don't think it's some guy going around and doing that. It's probably just countless children picking them up, throwing them into a cart saying "Buy me this mom!", then their mothers throwing it BACK onto the shelf...and so on. 5 or 10 times a day.

I got my first two Wave 3 figures from Karma, and they were both on blue cards.

I just need one more to be complete now, since I'm not going back and buying the card variations.  :)

I sold my vintage one after I got this version.

It's just THAT good IMHO.

If you don't have it yet, I highly recommend you pick it up. VERY cool looking. Plus it's huge.

No Star Wars collector should be without this prize.

Still need this for costuming purposes.  I don't care if it's the below version or the "Endor" painted jungle version. Just need one. Boxed or unboxed, don't care.

Got one? Sell it to me!   :)

If I were to add up all the transactions I've completed and NOT received feedback for, I think I'd be over 100 as well...but I'm at 80 right now.

I don't use Ebay as much as I used to back before I joined Rebelscum. Mostly I use it for sales of junk in my garage these days. But....Just last week I bought a CD for a penny (plus 3.50 shipping) on Ebay. It was the Pokemon 2000 Soundtrack, which I wanted solely for the Weird Al track "Polkamon".

Gotta love Ebay.

I've no idea how old you are Josh, so mostly the older part was in jest, though it can be related to consumption which tends to increase with age.

I'm 28, going on 29 this year. (Man, I FEEL old).

Anyway...I stopped drinking Soda about a year and a half ago when I started hitting the gym on a regular basis.  I told my trainer I really didn't want to diet, and he gave me a few things to cut down on. That was the big one.

Now I only have it during "Special" occasions. Same thing with coffee. I have a job where I'm VERY stationary during the day, so I've got to cut down on the cup or can of sugar and caffeine next to me. I just drink water now.  And decrackinated tea.  :)

But when I DO have a soda, or a coffee....I have the full-on, turbo version.

It's the only way to go.

Here in Seattle, that's already yesterday's news....as our own UW Husky Coach Rick Neuheisel has been caught betting on a basketball pool. I guess he won 20 grand or something.  And the shady dealings of sports players/coaches rumbles on.

I'm glad to hear Sosa was cleared though.

The Original Trilogy / Re: How does Vader know who "Luke" is?
« on: June 5, 2003, 03:23 PM »
So it sounds like the popular opinion goes with what my girlfriend said, and Luke was well known throughout the galaxy after blowing up the Death Star. I suppose it's not much of a stretch....we all know who Osama is, and he just blue up two buildings. Luke and HIS terrorist group blew up a whole moon-sized Base.

Of course, according to all the "New" mythology, it doesn't really matter WHAT his last name was. It's his blood type that counts.

Wouldn't they have him do a blood test when he tried to join the Rebellion (Standard military procedures) and figure out he had a ton of those stupid midichlorians and MUST be the son of Anakin?

I bet the empire could have found out that way too.  :)

I still feel strongly that Pete Rose should be in the HOF........he was the only member on the "All Century Team" that isn't in the hall.........and the crowd's cheers for Pete seemed to echo forever when his named was announced.

Yeah, me too. Especially in an era where you have streoids running rampant in the game, and all this incredible salaries ruining the purity of the sport......(home run hitters taking half the season off due to piddily injuries).

It's a shame that Pete Rose is being held out for gambling....and it wasn't even on baseball.

Wait til you get older boys.    Sometimes it's not so much a matter of choice.

Why, is something going to happen to me where I can't handle sugar and caffeine anymore? What's that mean?

I quit drinking soda and coffee regularly, because it's addicting and causes a beer belly (without the beer) if you drink too much of it while sitting around all day at work.

That being said, when I DO have a cup of coffee or a can of soda, I want to ENJOY it.   :)
