Shame you didnt buy them and offer them up to help others - I've never seen a single one, let alone at $5...

Excuse me? You didn't actually just accuse me of being at fault for not spending money I didn't have to help people (read: you) out, did you? Because that would be a pretty undermining comment.

I have a dog named Chewie.
Is it wrong that my wife's (last) name is Hahn?

Nintendo has, easily, the best character selection out there, something Sega, Sony, Microsoft, etc., have never been able to match. I disagree on the "kiddie" idea though. I mean, Mario, sure, but Zelda has broken away from the kiddie crowd though it's still somewhat accessible and Metroid is fairly adult.

One of the problems I see is that collectors / kids might be getting bored with the line in general - I've yet to even see the mini Y-wing because the pegs at every store are loaded with pegwarmers.

I actually passed up the mini Y-wing a couple times at Target when that and the Republic speeder w/ ARF were ringing up for less than $5 once I got what I needed. I hope somebody else got it for that price.
I'd welcome a report on those Wal-Mart deluxe exclusives at this point.

Anyone play Wii anymore?  Never played a "real" game on this outside of the bowling/sports stuff so I picked up Super Paper Mario and Super Mario Galaxy a few weeks ago.  Which of those two would be a good start to get reacquainted with the plumber?  Last Mario game I played was SMB on the N64 back in the day.

I play Wii all the time, how else you gonna et your Mario, Zelda, Metroid and Donkey Kong Country on?
New Zelda comes out soon.

Well, they had videos and it was like they never left so, perhaps, you give it a try?

Watched it again with my wife last night -- she had been watching "Practice Privates" or some other chick show the other night (huh, huh, huh) -- and it held up well to a second viewing. Anybody know how many episodes we're due?

I had breakfast across from the guy on my honeymoon with my wife in Walt Disney World's Grand Floridian in January 2001. Seemed like a good guy up close. I couldn't bother him as he ate his breakfast with on of the daughters and Jett. Nobody went up to him the entire time except, of course, the waitress and it's not like they had him roped off or security was standing next to him. I woulda just thanked him for a childhood full of memories and wished him luck on Episode II. He checked out that day. Waitress said he was the nicest guy and had eaten in the restaurant, 1900 Park Fare, every day of their vacation.

Can't believe nobody's talking about this. Well then, I'll get it started. Really looking forward to the premiere tonight. I just hope they show some videos and it's not all "Jersey Shore" and "16 & Pregnant," although Beavis and Butt-Head's take on them will be dead-on.
If you're looking to discuss the show, we will be liveblogging it over at http://www.phgeek.com/. Pre-show starts at 9:45 p.m. EST with the premiere kicking off at 10. We look forward to seeing you there.

So, I DIDN'T see this set today at Target.  But I did see the shelf tag.  So, both this tauntaun AND the landspeeder both have the same DCPI number, and as a result of that both are priced at $24.99.  When I saw that things started to click on the price front.

Personally, I think both should be priced at $19.99.  But then there's the whole shelfspace / box size issue.  Plus, they're exclusives.  That may explain Target's methodology here.  But then I remember just how much the SAGA Landspeeder cost and it wasn't even $19.99.  And at $24.99 I passed on the new TVC landspeeder.  I probably WILL buy this new Luke Skywalker tauntaun because of the new sculpt.  But I'm much more concious of how it is a bit overpriced.

Couldn't agree more on this "sucker" price. Personally, I think we'll see a $19.99 sale before a spate of clearances.

Good that there are comparison pics on here because, watch out! I've already seen one swap with the original tauntaun. Everything else was undisturbed in box.

Just FYI, for fans of the show in the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, etc., area, there is the New Jersey Undead Festival and Zombie Walk this weekend in Asbury Park, NJ. I believe they set the Guiness World record for zombies last year.

http://www.njzombiewalk.com/

I realize it's not Star Wars, however, we all know zombies can come out of any pop culture property. The zombie walk is tomorrow, Oct. 22, at 5 p.m. and there is something with exhibitors and vendors going on in Convention Hall all weekend.
The team from PhGeek.com will be there taking zombie pictures to put up on the site and handing out stickers. If you go, stop by and see us. This weekend is also Zombie Free Write on the website, so check out our celebration or, in my case, denigration, of zombie culture.

Was in the presentation last night at NYCC. Looking forward to rest of season 2, although uncertain since they gave Darabont the boot.

Please tell me they at least had the figures for sale! Those things were supposed to be out by now...I really want to check those out.

Looking forward to the premier, hoping since it's the first episode back and they want to hook in some new viewers they will have a little more action and a little less yakkity-yak.

Answer is yes all around  ;)
