Me, too.  Although I may wait and see what the new Gandalf the Grey coming later in the year looks like first.

The scale has kind of been all over the map lately but he seems about right to me.  Next to Bar2 he seems accurate.

I don't think I'll be getting either of these.  I got a Jabba glob Jabba a few years ago for a dollar and he looks fine enough on the dias of my cardboard diorama.

I'm re-reading Lord of the Rings post-films, and that's a very fun/interesting experience.

I'm also reading How the Irish Saved Civilization by Thomas Cahill.

Yay.   ;D

I wish them both success.

He's great.  Definitely buying him, although he feels a little slight as Riekken does at $10, or $11 at TRU.  Another Ewok would have made me feel better, but oh well.

I love the look of these more and more.

Yeah.   :(  I suppose it's nice for folks who don't have these figures, but most of these aren't exactly hard gets.  The imagination on display in the Imperial and Hoth sets seem only an abberation now.

I have one, so maybe I'll try it.  It's been a while since I did some custom mojo.  I agree with the points that Luke's only 'negatives' are the lack of ball jointed shoulders/elbows.  Beyond that, he's great.

Toy Fair is coming up real soon, and that ought to bring some more news and pics.  I expect it will also wrap up that pesky Balrog question.

It's kind of quiet right now.  There aren't a lot of figures hitting at the moment, mostly only from ROTK.  I'm pretty much waiting for the Armored Witch-King wave.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: 20 Figs Worth Investing In?

I think there will be select pieces that may sustain value in the future, but I can't see the point of trying to guess.  The line has such a longevity now and items are so mass produced that folks thinking this is a down payment on the future will be disappointed.

Hopefully this pans out, because it will be one of the best waves ever.  All of these figures with the exception maybe of R2 badly need resculpts.  Throw in some gear boxes and extendable arms with R2, and we're golden.

The Hubble shows you much they don't care about education.  The telescope has been and will be an invaluable tool to astronomers and scientists, but now it's too risky?  Not nearly as risky as going to Mars.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Television: What You Watch....

I don't watch much, and generally only follow:

Angel, NYPD Blue, Sex & The City, (Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The Wire when they air) Will & Grace.

I also like to catch Adult Swim sometimes and Buffy reruns.
