Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone Trooper 4 Packs!

I was all excited until I saw the price.  I almost laughed.  Once again it's great idea, horrible execution.

Joe Defender / Re: G.I. Joe Toys Thread

I so wish I had the money (and space) for Joes.  I always look at them.  If it weren't for the hideous joints on some of the girls I probably would.  It seems like they fixed them a little on Bombshell, though.

Middle Earth / Re: LOTR Trilogy Figures

I'm about ready to jump ship on LOTR.  The frustration of not finding ANYTHING AT ALL gets to you after a while.  I thnk it's just our town though.  People on other boards elsewhere seem to be rolling in the new waves.

The Galactus thing doesn't do it for me, but it is an extremely cool idea.  I'm most excited about Nightcrawler.

BBTS has the new waves up for preorder, and one of them includes figures I hadn't seen listed before, like a Gondorian Archer and Frodo w/ Book.  Also a new Eowyn and WK.  I wonder if the archer is the Ithilien one or a Minas Tirith one.

In no particular order:

Tarkin
Luke Medical Frigate
Leia Medical Frigate
Lando Smuggler
R5-D4
General Veers
Toyrn Farr
Zev
Hermi Odle
Luke Endor

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS carded figures
« on: December 10, 2004, 11:42 PM »
I think they all look for the most part fantastic.  I'm a bit disappointed that Padme is so vanilla considering her other costumes, but then they always do the boring 'action' ones first, so that's ok.  The Jedi are a nice surprise, and all incredible, but I wish there wasn't so much repetition.  I'd like to see new ones myself.  Mon Mothma is a nice surprise, and Dooku will probably be the first one I grab.

My problem is, I'm kinda looking for everything.  But to limit it to most important:

SW: just Jawas now.  And just missed them the other day at WM.  Sigh.

For LOTR, I'd say the Citidel Guard, Gamling and or Hamma, SP Boromir, Moria Orc... basically any orcs or rare guys you might find.  Thanks a bunch Ben.

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Best and Worst of 2004
« on: December 9, 2004, 08:40 PM »
I always love these lists.

Best VOTC: Chewie / Stormie tie.

Best OTC: Cloud Car Pilot  (but 3-PO may have had the best overall package.  I loved it)

Best Saga: Jedi Luke

Best Post OTC: Celebration Padme

Worst VOTC: 3-PO takes the cake.

Worst OTC: Bib Fortuna

Worst Saga: Hoth Trooper by a mile

Worst Post OTC: Rabe, only because of that mug

Yeah, her case is only very preliminary.  That article is a little misleading.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: "Evolutions" assortment...
« on: December 7, 2004, 08:40 PM »
It may turn out they're rehashes, but if not, I'd like to see:

Obi Wan: SA Padawan, SA Robed AOTC or ROTS, SA ANH Ben

I'll hold out for the 500th.  It sounds cool enough.  And then I'm probably done with Darths too.
