Middle Earth / Anyone know of a good LOTR forum?
« on: October 12, 2003, 02:50 PM »
Howdy, I'm curious to know if anyone knows of a good Lord of the Rings message board. I'm interested in doing some cross trading for some LOTR stuff....and I'm hoping that maybe someoen there might want some MOTU items in exchange for LOTR......long shot I guess, but you never know.

Anyone hang out on a LOTR board? Or perhaps is anyone here interested in some carded modern MOTU??? LMK,THanks, Brian

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: When good neighbors go bad...

I live in an apartment complex, and my neighbors suck as well. They must be the horniest beings on the planet, because they **** all the time. Loudly. Bed-creakingly. It gets so bad I can't hear my TV. Oh well. Eventually the girl will end up pregnant and drawing welfare cash for the little bastard, but whatever. Just another statistic.

Well, my neighbor situation is pretty cool.......I live way out in the sticks.......I've got one good neighbor to my right.....and my parents like to my all is well. I can blast my stereo as loud as I want, crank my electric guitar as loud as I want.....hell, even walk outside and blast off my 12 guage shotgun any time I please without fear of swat being called...hahahahah

Well, I finally did I broke down and bought two LOTR figures. I picked up the ROTK Urak with crossbow and ROTK Sam Gamgee..........I must say that I'm impressed with these figures!

I'd been fighting the urge to get into these figures.......but these two figs kept kalling my name on the pegs today.......I got home and ripped them open.......nice articulation, wonderful detailing......ok, I guess I'm now hooked on LOTR ;)

You have e-mail......I've got a boxed/sealed Eopie  sea creature and Qui Gon.......LMK what we can work out. Thanks, Brian

Out of curiousity, do you have any of the Palisade's Micronaut items for trade?

See man, my thoughts and feelings are the same as yours. I LOVE the Muppets (as anyone who grew up in our time does) and I do love Palisade's attention to detail in the line.......BUT, I don't care for all of thier exclusives.......just way to damn many :(  I'm kinda to the point now where I figure I'll just pass these figs on.......and either cash them in for some $$$ to help in building my toy room....or else turn them into something else I can better appreciate ;)

Michael Renegar is the VP of Palisades toys......Michael Horn (President) and Michael Renegar (Vice President) founded Palisade toys. Micheal Renegar hangs out on's kinda incognito there.......but I found out who he was via doing some trading with him. He helped me acquire a few different things for my collection

I had just got that figure when they did the initial run.......I'm guessing they must have made more due to the demand the club members must have put on they must have cranked out a few biggie....200 or 500 doesn't matter to me....still a tough figure to locate ;)

OK, who here remmbers Mego's Micronauts? These figures were wicked cool.....and had interchangeable parts.....and tons of different colors.

I've got the full set of series #1 Palisade toys repro Micronauts........GREAT stuff.......sadly I was ony a couple of years old when these toys were I missed playing with these as a kid by a couple years :(

Anyone have any of these items for trade....either vintage or Palisades? ;D

Actually there were about 500 Holiday Kermits made, and they were also sold to Fan Club members through a drawing. It was either 50 or 100 sold to Fan Club members...

Hmmm....well, then more of them must have been made....because I got mine directly from Michael Renegar....and he expressly told me 200 made :(
