Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Spider-Man Joins the Marvel Movie Universe

There was a lot of behind the scenes drama with the last Spider-Man too, from Sony clashing with the scriptwriters to Andrew Garfield pissing off high level Sony execs.

I think any sort of 6 inch price increase is a dangerous tightrope for Hasbro to walk with collectors, no matter what they add to make up the difference. The 3.75 inch line has no competition, but the 6 inch line has three other companies (maybe more) producing stuff, and while it's more expensive, it's easier than ever to purchase. Hasbro would have to knock the accessories/stands out of the park.

I got $29.99 for 6 inch Bespin Han (no), $19.99 for 6 inch General Lando (yes), $24.99 for 6 inch General Lando with accessories (no), $29.99 for Grievous (yes), $14.99 for 3.75 inch Chewie (no)

What is Hasbro's obsession with Vintage style packaging? I don't care about the package, I just want the toys.

Also if 6 inch figures go up in price, I'm done entirely. I get more enjoyment out of paying $40-50 for a Japanese figure that includes multiple weapons, hands, heads, etc. while Hasbro continues to drop accessories from BS figures. Look at the first two waves. X-Wing Luke came with a removable helmet, tons of weapons, Han came with the Stormtrooper belt, extra hands, extra blaster. ANH Luke came with binoculars. Like Pete, I made it known I wait for deals for 6 inch figures while I'm more than happy to pay for 4 inch figures.

Seems like Hasbro is itching to raise prices to offset production costs and using this survey to see what specific accessories they should add to justify the price increase.

The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: Recent purchases

Good idea, though that's a fine figure as it is.

Hardest part for Han will be finding a torso that will look accurate enough... and swapping the ball jointed legs.

Found that "Greatest Hits" wave today while picking up some stuff after work, including my first in-person sighting of TFA Han, Leia, and Phasma (got mine originally from Jesse James). Grabbed a second Han and Phasma, and I want to at least try to customize the Han into a SA "regular" TFA Han.

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: Walgreens Black Series 6" C-3PO

I remember freaking out over Emperor's Wrath Vader last year since everyone seemed to get one except me, then at the end of January they were EVERYWHERE. Like, there are still some Walgreens in my area where EW Vaders are the only Star Wars figures in stock. So I'll be patient on 3PO because it might be the same situation.

Nice haul. I truly believe the 3.75" Deathtrooper and Jyn are two of the best figures Hasbro has ever made.

But where are the NEW characters in this line?  It seems like every other wave is reissues.  I've been hoping that we might get some good SA versions of some classic characters.  Is Hasbro holding out for next year with the 40th Anniversary?  You have to wonder.

Hasbro has said that this line was always meant to be repacks, outside of the occasional figures from new movies.

Ponda Baba was probably THE hardest TVC figure to find. I lucked out and got one from a fresh case at 3am but that was the only time I saw it at retail, and I know they were about as scarce as the recent Black Series waves.

That said, I'd probably pass on all of these. I have enough of the army builders. I'd bite on Fett if it were the VOTC/ROTJ version from 2004.
