LEGO / Lego Star Destroyer Bridge
« on: June 28, 2005, 01:48 PM »
Here's the SD Bridge I made for my photonovel. The base was made in a few hours, but it's the walls I had trouble with. I tried using panels at first, but that didn't work. So I decided to do entirely brick built walls. I may go back and add a roof, but not for a while.

Hope you like it. :)

Photonovels and Movies / TSR: A Deadly Inauguration - Now Up!
« on: June 27, 2005, 01:22 AM »
Finally got off my lazy bum and began shooting part 2 of Sith Revelations tonight. Here's the shot I've decided to use as the preview.

I'm hoping for it to be ready sometime within the next few days!

The Prequel Trilogy / ROTS Deleted Scenes
« on: June 12, 2005, 02:14 AM »
So I found a website that contained images of ROTS Deleted Scenes. Which got me to thinking, how much was cut from ROTS? This can include anything from entire scenes to dialogue. Let's use this thread to make a list!

Modern Classifieds / WTB Lego Mini ARC-170
« on: June 7, 2005, 09:06 PM »
I'm looking to purchase a Lego Mini ARC-170. It was given out as a promo at TRU last month, either free with a $15 Lego purchase, or $5 by itself. I can pay either cash or PayPal. Please let me know if you are interested.

Here is the opening scrawl of my upcoming photonovel "The Sith Revelations." This is going to be a movie style photonovel, and part 1 of a trilogy. The script is still in development, with only a few scenes completed, but I'm working to complete it soon. The trilogy takes place shortly after the Battle of Endor and shows how the Rebel Alliance becomes the New Republic, and also tells how the Imperial Remnant struggles to find a new Sith Leader.

All the loveable characters from the OT are in it. Fan Fic characters so far include Robilus Dralco, who is like the Bill Gates of the galaxy. His son, Sivart, becomes a major character in the fight against the Remnant. One of the main villians is named Baron Samedi, who was accidentally injured by a Jedi when he was younger.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I will be using Legos to make the photonovel. Hopefully they work out as well as I want them to. :)

But enough with the chatter, here's a preview - the opening scrawl.

Thanks to Vator for helping with the scrawl. :)

The Wookiee Arcade / Lego Star Wars - The Video Game
« on: May 31, 2005, 10:08 PM »

If you like Star Wars and Lego, pick this game up! It's so kiddie/cute that it's funny! I'm having a blast rebuilding stuff using the Force. Theres also a free play mode where you can explore the levels with characters you unlock. Overall, this game is awesome. Great for everyone!

The Prequel Trilogy / ROTS Easter Eggs
« on: May 26, 2005, 01:13 AM »
Thought we should have a thread for Easter Eggs in the movie.

These two were taken from

The Millenium Falcon/YT1300 Stock Light Freighter:
As Obi Wan, Anakin and Palpatine arrive at the senate building on the airbus, after the rescue, just as the airbus comes into land, at the bottom of the screen, right side about 2/3rds across the screen a certain 'peice of junk' that's 'got it where it counts' appears coming for a landing. A second YT1300 can be seen taking off.

General Grievous' Lightsabers:
When Grievous fights Obi Wan, the four lightsaber hilts he uses are all major character lightsabers. Grievous uses:

Obi Wan Kenobi's Episode III and IV Lightsaber (Blade is green, not blue)
Anakin Skywalker's Episode II Lightsaber (Blade is correct blue)
Qui Gon Jinn's Episode I Lightsaber (Blade is correct green)
Darth Sidious' Episode III Lightsaber (Blade is Blue, not Red)

Has anyone else spotted any Eggs?

So at Wal-Mart today I came across the endless supply of Vader carrying cases with the Clone and Anakin. But all of the Clones were the SA version from Clone Wars and the EE Exclusive set. It wasn't in just one, it was in ALL of the cases. All of the pics and reports about them show the #6 Clone. Is this a variation? Has anyone else seen these?

The Prequel Trilogy / Anakin Dynamite
« on: May 6, 2005, 08:47 PM »
Not sure if this goes in the right spot, but that's for the Mods to decide.

I haven't viewed it yet, but I hear that it's just like Napoleon Dynamite.

Revenge of the Sith / Accessory Packs
« on: April 12, 2005, 06:51 PM »
Would anybody else like to see the return of these? Just like in Episode 1, they could pack in a bunch of blasters, lightsabers, etc. and sell them for $5 or $6. I think it'd be a cool way to get replacement/extra weapons, like Clone Rifles for the SA Clones.

Anybody else with me?

Revenge of the Sith / Online Midnight Madness?
« on: March 28, 2005, 11:59 AM »
Okay, so it turns out I can't go to MM at the stores due to something going on the next day. Does anybody know if any websites are doing MM sales? I only know of

The Wookiee Arcade / Battlefront Problem
« on: March 20, 2005, 11:13 PM »
I'm having a problem with Battlefront on PC. The videos at the beginning of the levels never play! I can hear everything, but the screen is black. I've messed around with the options, but no luck, and didn't have any specific info on the problem. I was wondering if anyone here could help?

LEGO / One more set before 2005!
« on: August 13, 2004, 03:24 PM »
Rumors from are indicating that Lego plans on releasing a set before the end of the year, and that we "Won't be disappointed".

Any thoughts to what it could be?

I'm hoping for a Sandcrawler, with a Death Star set or Ep. 3 preview set after that.

Whatever it is, I'm looking forward to it!

Toy Reviews / VOTC Leia and Obi-Wan
« on: August 6, 2004, 10:26 PM »
I've had these figs for around a week and a half, but never really got around to reviewing them. They got me enthusiastic about SW collecting again, and got me to start ordering figures online. Anyway, here's what I think about the VOTC Leia and Obi-Wan......

Princess Leia Organa

Sculpt: Sculpt is pretty good here. Some may argue that the face looks nothing like Carrie Fisher, but I think it is a decent likeness of her. The upper body has a GREAT amount of detail, until you get to the waist. The softgoods dress was a nice addition, and I think it is pretty well done. Under the skirt is just plainly sculpted legs (painted white) along with boots. Nothing exciting here. Thumbs in the middle.

Paint: Not much painting here, as I'm sure Hasbro used white plastic. The belt has gray buckles, and the bottoms of her boots are painted black. This was a nice feature, as Hasbro detailed the figure really well. The paint on her face makes her look like a doll of somesort though. Thumbs up for a good paintjob on this figure.

Articulation: I believe Leia has 12 points. Ball/Socket Neck, Ball/Socket Arms, Elbows, Wrists, Waist, Hips, and Knees. Yup, that's 12. The arms are nice, as you can pose her with her blaster in both hands, hands near her hips (like the picture on the card), or straight down at her sides (Requires you to flip the arms and wrists though, it's kind of hard to explain without pictures). I have heard that her knees are Ball/Socket, but they don't seem that way to me. She can bend her knees, but can only move her shins left and right. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Oh well, they just don't seem Ball/Socket to me. Thumbs up for articulation.

Accessories: You get a black, shiney Stormtrooper blaster, exactly the same as the POTJ one, which also comes with Saga Bespin Chewie and Admiral Ozzel for example. Her hands are small, so this is just about the only weapon she can hold. I would have preferred the long Leia pistol she uses before getting stunned in ANH, but this does fine. Thumbs in the middle.

Overall: Pretty decent figure for Leia. I see she is selling like hotcakes and seems to be the most difficult to find just behind Luke. I know why. A good figure that is well worth the money.

Grade: A- (A Minus)

Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi

Sculpt: The head seems like a decent enough sculpt to me. Looks an awful lot like the old POTJ Obi-Wan to me. The upper body has decent detailto the waist where the soft goods begin. His sleeves have wrinkles in them, which looks pretty cool. His hands have GREAT detail, showing wrinkles and veins. This is an AWESOME detail, IMO, and really adds to the figure. His belt has little detail. Just a buckle and a small hook where a Lighsaber hilt would go. Under the soft goods cloak are your basic pants and boots, with a small bit of detail in each (A few wrinkles). For example of this see a figure like, oh, um, Admiral Ozzel. His pants are similar. Thumbs in the middle leaning towards Up with the sculpt.

Paint: Eh, a decent paintjob. Like Leia, he was probably sculpted with tan plastic, and the painted the brown on him. His boots, belt, and inner shirt are painted brown, and his hair is gray. Not much else to talk about here. Thumbs in the middle

Articulation: Here's where it gets messy...... he has the standard neck articulation, NOT Ball/Socket like Han and Leia. Big no-no. He DOES have Ball/Socket Shoulders, but cruddy Elbow articulation. Once again, I refer you to Admrial Ozzel's figure for an example. He looks bad without the cloak when he has his arms moved to go straight down, but that's mainly because of the sculpt. It's even harder to put the cloak on with his elbows like that, so you have to move them into the straight position, THEN move the elbows back to the normal position, as well as move the cloth back so it doesn't look pulled. It's good that he can hold his Lightsaber with both hands, but I wish he had some better elbows. Add in the Standard waist along with Standard Leg articulation, and you'll get a Thumbs Down regarding the articulation for Ben.

Accessories: You get a POTJ Old Ben Blue Lightsaber, which is basically the only thing he ever used in the OT. And the cloak....... The cloak is decent enough, but hard to get on because of the elbow articulation. When you get it on, you then see how big it is. You have to fold pieces just to make it look movie accurate. The arms are big too, and the cloak as a whole is extra thick. Thumbs in the middle for accessories.

Overall: While I still recommend the figure, I would keep him on display, or carded. He is definately not a playable figure, and you see why once you take it out of the package. Definately not the "Ultimate" version Hasbro hyped it to be.

Grade: B- (B Minus)

Here is how I would rank the VOTC figs from Wave 1 so far (I still don't have Luke yet, so keep that in mind):

1. Han
2. Leia
3. Obi-Wan

Both figures are recommended by me. Hope you enjoyed the review.  :)

The Original Trilogy / Boba Fett..... Voiced by Jango Fett?
« on: July 27, 2004, 12:41 PM »
Yet ANOTHER crappy change in the OT DVD..... Boba Fett's voice has been replaced by the voice of Temuera Morrison. Also, they gave Morrison NEW LINES, further butchering the scenes.

Also, there are RUMORS that all the Stormtroopers now have Morrison's voice as well.

You can find samples HERE.

Thanks for screwing up some good characters, Uncle George.  >:(
