LEGO secures Jurassic World license

Good news for LEGO AND JP fans... hopefully it's like LOTR and we get a few sets from the original movies too!

Good stuff. I can't say I'm excited for some stuff like Boussh but then it's been 9 years since the last one and I forget it isn't fully SA. Loving the Han and Mosep!

Come to think of it, Battle of the Heroes was really well done for ROTS too... I actually really enjoy the Episode I soundtrack and give it a listen every once in a while when I listen to the OT soundtracks. I thought it was weird that they recycled music from TPM for the other two prequels (examples being podrace music during the scene where Gunships invade the arena and Qui Gon funeral music being reused for Padme's funeral). I wonder if Williams was simply unmotivated because Ben Burtt was drowning his stuff out with goofy sound effects.

Bought a Snowtrooper Commander from Jeff, then I stopped by TRU after a meeting and found some Wave 5. No Ree Yees, but I got Doallyn, Vader and a second Snowy and Wedge because it was a BOGO so why not.

This pretty much catches me up for the year, but I still need to track down some older figures like Bespin Vader and Pablo Jill that were either rare here or I just kept passing on until they disappeared.

John Williams to begin composing E7 score in 2 weeks

Pretty cool news to hear, and I'm hoping Williams has some good stuff in store. Outside of Duel of the Fates, the PT soundtracks were far from memorable, and I'm pretty sure he just phoned in Indy 4 like everybody else.

I keep forgetting this line exists because nobody stocks it. I was at Austin Comic Con earlier this weekend and saw some figures for sale but no Red She Hulks or anything interesting. Looking up cases, the newest figure they had was Cyclops.

I also see some pretty awesome figures coming in 2015, so I guess I should just preorder a case or something because they won't be showing up here.

Wal-Mart currently has a Rollback on the new Captain America vs HYDRA Tank set, on sale for $15 from $20. Comes out to about 9 cents per piece when everything is said and done, which is a great deal for a licensed set.

Picked up my first 6 inch Black Series figure today, a Stormtrooper.

Found a lone Snowspeeder Wedge at Target and snagged him. Really, really good paint apps too. Only Black Series figure on the pegs, which I thought was weird.

Did anyone else catch the Simpsons/Family Guy crossover? Not as bad as I had imagined it would be, but also something I hope never, ever happens again.

Saw this this afternoon too. I passed for now, but if I do get any Rebels figures I'll snag this set due to the Obi-Wan.

Picked up Wave 4 at TRU thanks to the 40% BOGO sale. They didn't have the Snowtrooper Commander, however, so I'll snag one online.

There's no way we see any Episode VII product before Toy Fair, and even then I doubt we see anything juicy until SDCC. I'm assuming NYCC will only show us all of the filler we'll get between now and the Episode VII line release.

As for Sneak Preview figures, I don't recall any of them being too spoiler-ish. We got a major character for each movie (Windu, Jango, Grievous), an army builder (Clone, Wookiee), a minor character (Zam, Utapau guy), and an astromech, and the figures were pretty basic for the most part. I don't see why Hasbro wouldn't stick to the same formula.

Still searching Walgreens stores. The in-stock locator on the website has been totally wrong so far, and employees are starting to give me death glares for walking in and out so quick without buying anything.

2004 Silver Mustang :)

Still driving this one, though it has been beaten up in 9 years of ownership...

I recently saved up enough cash to put a nice down payment on a new car, but my Mustang just hit 100,000 miles this summer (it had around 20,000 when I got it, and I didn't drive much in high school or college due to bus routes and carpooling) so I decided I would use that cash to fix up my car. Spent the last week fixing up the engine (was having transmission problems) and the next step will be replacing the stereo (it's too new for a cassette deck but too old to have an AUX port for music players and phones). After the new year I'll start saving to get a new paintjob and fix a giant dent from being sideswiped in a parking lot last year.
