Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Last Time You Threw Up
« on: September 3, 2003, 07:56 PM »
Last two times I remember throwing up were:

September 14, 2001 - I was really stressed out that week, thanks to the terrorist attacks. We had more football practices scheduled, and the district ordered teachers to give more homework so that us kids could "keep our minds on more important things". Early Friday morning, I woke up with a stomach ache. I tried to, um, use the bathroom, but I ended up throwing up instead. I got to stay home from school that day, and it was pretty dull since all of the TV stations were covering the attacks (andI  didn't have the internet in my room yet).

September 20, 2002 - This was another stressful week. One teacher assigned us a major project on Wednesday, and gave us until Friday to finish it (She should've given us the weekend to do it). This was really hard considering that my sister's birthday was on Thursday. Anyway, I found myself in a similar situation like the one I mentioned above. I got to stay home again today. I was once again bored out of my mind, but I had been visiting Rebelscum for about the past two months. I saw the forums link, and decided to click on it. I registered the next day.

Will I hurl again this month, continuing my pattern?

Alright, time to review RAW.

PROS:

- The Main Event was pretty good this week. Michaels and Goldberg both brought their A-game and Triple H didn’t seem slowed (further) by his injury (plus Ric is always ON) and it made for a good match.
- Jericho vs. Christian was a pretty good TV match, but why didn't the ref look to see if Christian was holding the ropes? Is Christian's gimmick the RAW version of Eddie Guerrero's?
- The Women’s tag match was decent this week.
- The segment with Kane sticking the jumper cables on Shane’s nuts had me rolling on the floor in tears (That was the only pro in this segment IMO).
- It’s good to see RVD back. Also, I liked that they announced a match for next week already (Kane vs. RVD cage match).
- Coach is smart for wearing a UT jersey.
- La Resistance vs. Hurri*.*.*.*. was OK.

CONS:

- Kane was thrown into a DUMPSTER OF FIRE, yet he only has injuries on his ARM AND WRIST. WTF ARE THE WRITERS SMOKING?!?! If Kane can no-sell his burn injuries, then why didn't JR?
- Lawler vs. Coach was boring and pointless. I see no potential in this feud or Al Snow’s heel turn. I’d rather see them spend this time on a more deserving talent (ie. Venis, Storm, Richards, etc.). HeAT announcers vs. RAW announcers is just a bad idea, which brings us to...
- Unforgiven - Coach vs. JR: Why?
- The Jericho/Christian/Austin segment was too long and slow, IMO.
- Why must Vince be on both shows every week?
- I am sick of this Resistance/Dudleys feud. When will it end?
- Speaking of never ending feuds, when will the Test/Steiner feud end?

Overall, RAW was okay this week. It was better than last week, which is good. I'll give it a B- this week.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Who Here Has Your Own Web Site?
« on: September 1, 2003, 07:49 PM »
I've been trying to make a webpage for a while now. I got a "How to make your own webpage" book last Christmas, but I never really got past the first few stages.

This past semester at school, we made webpages in Computer class. I made my site (A video game code site), and it was one of the best in the class. I had the chance to upload it onto the 'net, but for some reason I turned down the offer. I guess I figured that I wouldn't have enough time to update it as much as I wanted to.

More detailed pics have hit FBTB!

I am slightly disappointed in Yoda's Hut, but the X-Wing looks AWESOME! :o

And FBTB is saying that Yoda might not be able to fit into Luke's backpack.

You can also preorder the set, but you have to call the Shop at Home phone number.

RAW Review.

PROS:

- The ending was pretty good. Very horror movie-esque: "Burn in hell." Classic.
- The Opening segment with Goldberg/HHH was pretty good. At least they're building a feud.
- The women's match was decent this week.
- I'm enjoying Coach's heel turn. He is actually somewhat entertaining now.
- Rosey/Hurricane/Goldust/Storm segments were entertaining again this week. Why not let them wrestle?

CONS:

- Triple H's shoot on Smackdown was unnecessary. If Angle is a "Paper Champion", then Triple H must be a "Paper-Mache(sp?) Champion".
- I respect Vince McMahon's character and his often great acting, but sheesh. He and his family are taking over both shows with their own personal feuds. Let's see some wrestlers Vince. It's also sad to see them take over the aptly-named "Highlight Reel," which has been the highlight of RAW as of late. Just rename it "The McMahon/Kliq Show". Can we go at least one week without seeing a McMahon?
- Why must Mark Henry return? At least he's with Teddy Long though, and maybe he can get him over. Maybe.
- No point in Orton vs. Maven. Just let Orton feud with Michaels already.
- Dudleys/Resistance = stale, dull, boring, etc. La Resistance's gimmick is old. This war stuff is old. It just reeks of 1998, I'm sorry. If I want politics, I'll turn on CNN or MSNBC.
- Christian needs help to beat Lawler? Oookaay.
- Where was Stacy? And Test? And Steiner?

Overall, RAW was borderline okay this week. I'll give it a C+. Not bad, but not good either.

No, I did not order this event.

Summerslam Results

La Resistance def. Dudley Boyz to retain the World Tag Team Titles

Undertaker def. A-Train

Shane McMahon def. Eric Bischoff

Eddie Guerrero def. Rhyno, Chris Benoit, and Tajiri to retain the U.S. Championship

Kurt Angle def. Brock Lesnar to retain the WWE Championship

Kane def. Rob Van Dam

Triple H def. Goldberg, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Kevin Nash, and Randy Orton to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

 MY THOUGHTS:
What the hell was this? No title changes, and every single match was predictable. Fatal 4 Way and WWE Title matches sounded like they were the best all night. Why were Goldberg and Triple H the last two left in the Chamber when they did absolutely nothing prior to that? Yawn. Next week is the one year anniversary of the Title on RAW, meaning that The Gay-me has held the title for 11 friggin months.

And last but not least, why did they decide to turn Coach heel? ???

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Parody of Star Wars kid...
« on: August 22, 2003, 11:45 PM »
This morning, I was sitting around eating breakfast when my mom put the newspaper on the table. What is one of the stories on the front page?

"The Saga of the Star Wars Kid"  ;D

The article pretty much covers everything from the making of the video to the lawsuit. The newspaper even uploaded both the article AND the video on their website here. The video is one of the inhanced versions though.
