30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Anyone else losing interest?
« on: November 6, 2006, 02:55 PM »
I went on a Toy Run yesterday (my first since Mid-September, to show you how much my interest has dwindled) and besides a few Jerjerrods and Ewok Throne C-3POs, every single figure was a Greatest Battles figure. Not only that, but Target didn't even have any of their exclusives on the shelves, they were all in the back. I'm already cutting back, and it wouldn't suprise me if I stopped collecting by the end of 2007. The interest for me is just vanishing quickly.

This needed to be bumped again. I was going to Target today and was waiting at a light to get to the shopping center. There were three lanes at this light - on the left is the "left turn only" lane, in the middle (where I was) is the "left turn or go straight" lane, and the right is the "right turn or go straight" lane.

So the light turns green, and I make my turn. However, some ******* (in a huge F-350, no less) from the "left turn only" lane speeds up and almost rams me in the side. Apparently he was in the wrong lane. ::)

After narrowly avoiding being squashed, the (I assume drunken) redneck ******* starts giving me one of those honk-a-thons, where he keeps his hand on the horn forever. Dumbass.

And to make things even worse, Target didn't even have the Windu Battlepack.

Is it safe to say that Jeff is the only one keeping track anymore?  :-*

The Wookiee Arcade / Re: Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy

I need some help on importing characters from Lego Star Wars 1 The Video Game into Lego Star Wars 2 The Original Trilogy.  The system that I have it on is XBOX.

It's actually an extra you have to buy.  Once you find the correct red brick, you can purchase it from the bar in the cantina.

To add to Matt Fury's comment, you then have to turn on the code from the Cheats menu. Then when you go to Free Play, you can select the old characters. They aren't able to walk around inside/outside of the Cantina though, which is sort of a bummer.

I guess I should probably mail away for this guy sooner or later. I've had the POPs since April and have yet to send them away. :-X

Same here... glad I'm not the only one.

Famine, you've disappointed me in 2 ways:

1. Where are these peck muscles you've been bragging about? Your workout plan must be bogus.

2. Your beard looks nothing like DAVE's beard.

At $84 a case, that comes out to exactly $7 a figure. So I'm guessing figures will be priced at around $7.30 in stores...  :-\

The Original Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Trilogy Soundtracks
« on: September 26, 2006, 10:17 PM »
I have the TPM, AOTC, and ROTS albums, along with the 2 disc 1997 version of ESB. I still need to pick up ANH and ROTJ someday. I remember picking up the 97 album at Hastings back in 2002, but like Matt said, they've probably vanished since 2004.

One thing I like about the OT soundtracks is that the music is played in the order it's played in the films, other than a few out of order tracks. The PT albums are still good, but I must admit I'm not much of a fan of them, there are a lot of dull spots in them.

Anyway, are these expected for Christmas, like so many other change over cards? Or will actually come out in Januaury?

I could have sworn I read somewhere in one of the Q&A's that the 30th line won't start until April/May. I couldn't find the Q&A entry though, so who knows.

I just realized they FINALLY gave Obi-Wan the correct color ankle joints. Still passing though, I've already bought him 3 times.

Getting Mace, an Airborne Trooper, a few Marines, and some Concept Stormies. The rest I'll be passing on until further info about the figures are revealed.

Hats off to Hasbro for the Mace though. I can't believe the best Mace prior to this one was made 8 years ago.
