What an amazing night of basketball last night.  It began with Duke getting knocked out of the tournament--though that hurt my office pool, being a die-hard Tar Heels fan, I was ecstatic to see it--and ended with two buzzer beaters.  All I can say is ... wow!

I'm not so sure if Detroit is a lock coming out of the East.  Miami plays them extremely tough, even though they lost to them last night.  Detroit has no answer for Shaq, and Dwyane Wade is capable of changing the pace of an entire series.  I still think that Detroit's the favorite to come out of the East, but a lot can happen in a seven game series.

Man, the T-Wolves are terrible.

13 games under .500?  Getting beat by Golden State?  7 losses in a row?

I'm ready for baseball...  :D

I wouldn't be surprised if Garnett wants out of there soon.  He looks like he's getting burned out.

F*CK YOU, IOWA!  I would've been 4 for 4 in the early games if these b*stards could simply hold onto a 17-point lead with 8 and a half minutes left.  Dammit.

Whats with the pricing this time around?  The first three movies were priced roughly $15 when they were first released.  And these were all 2-disc versions.  Goblet of Fire 2-disc this time around was $20+ everywhere I checked yesterday, and the single disc was $15 ???

This is becoming a growing trend with DVD releases.  A one-disc version is dropped at the price we're used to seeing (around $15) during the first week of release.  They also offer a two-disc "extended" version, but it's now at a higher cost.  For those of us that want the extra disc and have come to expect it, this really sucks.

For those of you who are shocked, amazed, yet entertained at the way Isiah Thomas is running the Knicks into the ground, you may enjoy this column:

For two hours' worth of the (now) funniest show on TV*, with several commentaries and a crapload of deleted scenes, I think $13 or so is a pretty fair value.  Circuit ran a similar sale on it just before Christmas, and I was all over it.  And after seeing how good Season 2 has been, I'm prepared to pay pretty much anything they want for that DVD set when it comes out.

*RIP AD

I totally agree with you there.  With Arrested Development's passing, The Office is now the funniest show on TV ... though I think that Scrubs can give it a run for its money.

Wow, I can't believe Walk the Line hits next week.  That was quick!

I'm so out of the loop - when did The Office hit DVD?

It was released on March 24, 2005.

I'd like to wish a Happy Birthday to the greatest player to ever play the game of basketball.

Ron Artest was actually born in November.

 :P

That's so funny I'm actually having trouble laughing.

We're getting gusts of 50+ MPH around here today.  Trees are falling over, people are losing power, sheet metal is flying across the roads ... it's mass hysteria!

i saw pierce put up 50 and lost.  thats gotta suck.

That's because he was playing against LeBron who dropped 43 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists on the Celtics.
