Silk Spectre II arrived yesterday!  ;D

Nice figure, great likeness, and I love the translucent wrap over her costume, but I am still confounded by those extra leg joints. Man, those are an eyesore.

Bring on your Night Owl!

I could never get past the first one, which I love and have read at least a dozen times. The story just seems more or less complete to me where it ends, kind of like Aliens. Everything after that just seems to be an effort to tear down that happy ending.

LOL, I seem to recall there was a LOT of backlash against that casting when originally announced.

I really wanted to see Glenn Danzig get a shot too, but what are ya gonna do?

Meh, if you hated the Clone Wars series or never gave it a chance, that's your loss. Placating that bunch seems like a lost cause.

And I would prefer that they not make any toys from this show unless Disney has the license. Because Disney does some quality ANIMATED figures. I don't want toys that don't look like the characters on the show, which they won't if produced in a style that does not conform to the source material aesthetic.

And yeah, please no Zenaya, Roshon, Zack 'n' Cody, etc guest voices.

Agreed, those are garbage, in every aspect. Sculpt, paint, articulation, packaging, etc. What a waste of a toy line this has become.

Pass on that Tudors guy. I think they can do much better, casting unknowns would be a good way to go even.

Damn...Ray Manzarek.  :(

Damn, I forgot The League and Sunny...good call, those are both worthy efforts.

Simpsons (don't enjoy it anymore but I have never missed an episode and a 23 year commitment is not to be taken lightly)
Family Guy (still makes me laugh...occasionally)
Archer (probably the funniest thing on TV right now)
Parks & Recreation  (a nice little show, not screamingly funny but has its moments, i will watch anything Amy Poehler does though in recognition of her affiliation with the UCB, which was one of the greatest things EVER)
Walking Dead (only the best show on TV period)
Dark Skies (when it returns)
ATHF/Squidbillies/Superjail/Metalocalypse,Eric Andre Show - because Adult Swim is made for weirdos like me :))

Each year, I watch fewer and fewer shows. The ones I pick up don't seem to last. And the ones I keep up with are slowly dwindling. That's nice though, because I find as I age I have less and less patience with watching TV.

Has anyone gotten their May offerings in the mail yet?

Still waiting on mine...

This is a joke, right?

They cancelled Clone Wars for ANOTHER animated series!?!?

I won't hold my breath for the announcement on the supporting toy line.

I dunno...looks pretty cool to me. Maybe he needs to go scout properties on Dagobah.  ;)

Still looking forward to seeing these arcs. Except the Clovis one.

Wow, I feel like an ahole now for badmouthing the show earlier. That was ones of the best series finales I have ever seen. I'm a sucker for happy endings though. Carrell's cameo was awesome, not overdone. Creed's backstory was epic. Even the shmaltzy stuff was well done. (Yay Erin!) A very fitting send off for a show that had a great run.

Ain't no party like a Scranton party!

I will be tuned in to celebrate its demise for sure. SO happy this show is ending, it has not been very good since Carrell left. Not bad enough to force me to stop watching, but it's been an effort to keep up this 10 season committment, especially lately.

There are plenty of problems you can point to, but in general I think they fell into the Seinfeld trap where the characters intially seemed quirky and amusing but gradually over time became pretty loathsome and unappealing. A lot of the early sweetness of the show was replaced by cynicism and snark. Everyone began back-stabbing, sleeping around, etc. Even the heart and soul of the show, Jim & Pam, both became pretty unlikeable this season after all their contrived marital drama. (Note to Hollywood writers - people outside of Hollywood actually enjoy happy marriages, they're not all embittered and self-absorbed as you seem to be fixated on)

I liked Dwight as a hapless dweeb that was annoying but constantly tormented as Jim. I liked Ryan as the quiet, nerdy intern. And I liked Andy and Erin as Jim/Pam II. (Sorry Plop, you were too handsome and unfunny to ever warm up to)

Anyway, they had a good run. A lot of high moments...Michael burning his foot in bed on the George Foreman grill will always be a classic.

I watched about 30 seconds of it recently, two alien chicks being loaded into a paddy wagon or somesuch thing. It did not have the same feel as BSG to me, did not feel very compelled to watch more. I should love that channel but I just feel they consistently fall short for some reason.
