The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: Black Series Rumors
« on: December 2, 2016, 08:25 AM »
Never saw the Tarkin wave here, one of the only SW Toy Waves i've literally never seen on the pegs anyplace.

I would have preferred they crank out the rest of that last online only TVC wave. Shae Vizsla and that Republic Trooper, etc.

Seems like an easy repaint for the 6" line too.

That's awesome Rob. When Relapse first signed those guys years ago it was off a performance at some guy's house party in PA. Blew everyone away. I think they were one of the first bands to get slapped with the "Math Metal" label, which I love.

And yeah, I need to move to Japan too. I could literally quit my life and become a BabyMetal groupie.

Agreed, and I hope they keep the darker, grittier feel that was the original vision. This would work much more effectively as a traditional war film than some screwball space adventure.

I think they've assembled a fine cast too. If the writing is strong I don't see how this thing could come out badly. Everything I've seen so far has been pretty solid.

Yeah, I ended up buying very little compared to years past. A couple of cheap 6" fodder figs at Amazon at the end of the day was about it. Fine with me, I can always find other ways to spend my dough.

Now lets get a US distributor for MAFEX and those other 6" figure lines...

Super7 is having a 20% off sale at their Webstore today (cyber20 promo code) so I bit on the new T-1000 hole in head liquid metal variant. After the discount and with shipping it only came to $12, so not bad at all.

Got my Dark Crystal figures today...all 3 carded figures' bubbles had come clean off and they were just bouncing around loose in the package.  :(

Not surprised really, I had heard this was a big issue with these figures, but disappointed nonetheless.

At least Ursol's box was in good shape.

Already wasted 45 minutes on EE, HTS, Gamestop and this morning looking for something on sale that was actually worth buying. No luck so far.

Still holding out hope for Amazon...

Yeah, as I bemoaned after the premiere, this is not the same show anymore. I used to look forward to a new episode more than anything on TV but now I find it barely watchable. And not even remotely enjoyable.

I think they have hit the point where the comic blueprint has become a tedious burden. This show was at its best creatively, IMHO, when they were kind of doing there own thing. Having something play out over many issues in a comic is not the same as doing it with episodic TV. I swear, I feel like the writers and Dalrymple are just sitting around a big table every week talking about how they can stall things out.

And so we get stuff like this. Looking forward to that inevitable Father Gabriel episode!  ::)

And WTF is "PPP" supposed to mean?

If anyone has the dark red arm C-3PO 6" variant, I would love to trade a Walmart exclusive 6" Scarif Stormtrooper for it straight up. PM me if interested!  :)

I recently bought The Wall playset at TRU and was really impressed overall. The Tyrion pack in figure was very well sculpted I thought. Plus it is just a great place to display all the loose figures.

To me, the line is a nice compromise between cheap 5POA and more expensive SA figures. The kind of stuff I wish SW was doing. On the ones I got the paint apps seem fine. At least comparable to most of Hasbro's stuff lately.

Maybe it's just an experiment for them? The Suicide Squad figures they are doing look very much in the same vein. I haven't heard any more about a second GoT wave recently, so maybe it's just a one and done deal.

I finally broke down and ordered Aughra off eBay for $9.99 shipped. Couldn't find any of the rest at that price so have been trying to be patient.

This morning I found the other four basic figs (they had no listing for Aughra so I lucked out getting that one separately) at Barnes and Noble's website and they were all on sale for $5.96 each!

I grabbed all 4 and some Hot Wheels car to qualify for Free Shipping. The whole order came to $27.16. That's incredible for a bunch of figures I really wanted and am unlikely to ever see in a store. Less than $7 a pop!

Happy. Now to start saving up for the NYCC set...

Got lucky and found this guy today...just thought I would mention that Brickseek showed a "0" count on hand at every store around here but they all had a small disclaimer that just appeared last night stating something to the effect of "Stores reporting limited availability" so it could be worth your time if you see that pop up in your search. They rang up at the regular 6" price.
