Anyone still watching V this year?  I've enjoyed all three episodes so far this season.  Feels like they are ramping things up a bit faster than last season.  Big fan of Lisa's new V outfit too.   ;D

Still watching it and loving it. I absolutely agree they have upped the ante this year, I think because they know they are a bubble show and cannot afford the slow pacing of the first season to capture their audience, especially after that long hiatus.

Last night was great...SO awesome to see them kill that Cylon bitch. God I hated her on both shows! Any screen time for Jane Badler is a win in my book too.

I still think the writing and plotlines need a bit of work, but overall it has been a strong debut so far this year. The only thing I can't stand about the show is her loser d-bag son. What an idiot. I cannot wait for the eventual "reveal" scene where he realizes what a tool he has been all along. (Literally and figuratively)

Not really.  Find me any movie adaption of a comic that doesn't diverge from the original storyline in some way.

Yeah, but that's a whole other can of worms. I'm talking about comics rewriting their own history, which as a longtime Silver/Golden Age Purist I find abhorrent.

The original X-Men, in the oh-so-darling blue and yellow geek suits,
were Cyclops, the Angel, the Beast, Iceman, and Marvel Girl.

I have no idea who those schmoes in the photo are. They ain't the "first class" by a long shot though...

I am hoping this would come with a figure included as well then, ala the Turbo Tank. That would be a nice throw-in, especially something unique.

"Attack based playset" - hmmm. Maybe Hasbro is warming up to the idea?

Sorry, I didn't mean to steer the topic off course. It's probably not even fair to compare the two.

I've read all of both sets of books and I do think there is more to Tolkien's stuff that perhaps lends itself to a larger audience.

I think the Hobbit will do well, even with a colossal budget.

I wanted to catch this, but have missed all the episodes to date.  Are there 3 out there now?  I will have to try to catch up on them.  It seems like a cool premise and I agree with trying to support any kind of superhero show that gets put out there unless it is absolutely awful (I'm looking at you No Ordinary Family).

Yep, there are just three...last night's and the 2 hour premier.

Support for the genre is part of the reason I think i will stick with it too, and because I agree it will probably have a short shelf life. (I was liking the Event in this time slot anyway)

Is anyone sticking with this? Do you find it terrible or enjoyable? Or both?

I'm mostly sticking around for Summer Glau and because I enjoy Keith David's acting. I still can't make up my mind if I like it or not though. I already gave up on that atrocious No Ordinary Family show, so I'm not eager to replace it with something equally bad.

Curious what others think...

I'm just curious how this wave and Wave 5 hit retail before any of the online sellers got a whiff of them. Isn't that fairly unusual?

I haven't even seen most of these on eBay yet...

The latest Narnia movie tanked big time.

Maybe people over the age of 13 realized this was just a thinly veiled Christian parable and churchy God stuff is not nearly as cool or interesting as actual sword and sorcery/fantasy stuff?

Any religiousy type junk like that can be the kiss of death for the fanboy set.

Wave 5 Found?

Says they were found in Orlando, and no receipt is pictured. Sounds kinda sketchy.

Just saw that, photo has been added now too. I don't think the lack of a receipt is necessarily a big deal, but we should know for sure in the next few days if other reports start popping up.

Too bad we don't have any JD peeps in FL.

These are shipping from Hasbro US now too-- got my case from Entertainment Earth on Friday.  No Hondo, though.  Bane's pretty impressive, but take note: the only articulation on Todo is his head, no matter how the arms look.

Good to know, I see SWS has 'em now too, but only by the case - for $94.99 I can wait.

Hoping to see retail reports on these in another week or two...

Has anyone gotten one of these in the mail lately?  I sent for mine in the Fall and haven't heard many/any deliveries since early November I don't think...

Nope, I'm still waiting on the one I ordered in November as well. The check was cashed long ago too.

I guess in the absence of any update postcard, they're just working on a new batch.

It was Ok. I liked Clancy Brown. It felt like kind of a letdown after last week though.

Wow, those Zabrak dudes are some real pussies. AHCHOO! Oops, I must be allergic to EMASCULATION.

Grow a pair, boys!

And what, did the Jedi Council look for the puniest, most pathetic Jedi to guard that all important Temple? Those guys caved in quicker than the French!

Why no scenes from next week? Is two new episodes in a row their limit? That 3 week break over Christmas wasn't enough?

Am I the only one who things she is a dead ringer for Kate Blanchett?

Too funny...I started a long post in this thread last week and then deleted it because it sounded too crankypants.

I HATE what this show has become...it has dropped off steeply from the first couple of seasons. If you go back and watch that first year, and then watch one from this season it is like night and day.

Dwight was much more entertaining as an abused dweeb than as a diabolical, agressive jerk.

Jim used to be the smart one that never got punked. Now he's as stupid as the rest of them.

You hardly get anything with the supporting cast anymore too - where's my Creed jokes?

The Andy/Gabe/Erin thing has drawn on agonizingly slow. And why  is everyone suddenly gay? First Oscar, then Gabe, and now HRG. (The Senator dude from Heroes) And yeah, I know Gabe has not officially been outed but this has been a running gag for some time. (Dressed up as Lady Gaga, the passive aggressive naked man at his gym comment, etc)

I dearly wish they would yank this show as it has been DOA for some time now.

And I think the new Boss has to be Timothy Olyphant, no way that guy comes in to do two random guest episodes out of the blue and then disappears forever.
