Well, wrestlers DO make great actors...

Oh wait, no they don't.

Sigh.  :(

My pleasure, glad you guys were interested as well. I can't take credit for the original discovery though, it was originally posted in the RS TCW forums months back, so I was just doing my due diligence. :)

I should go ahead and compile a list of all the ones I know about...the Turbo Tank Gunner, IG-86, the 2012 Captain Rex(es), etc.

Even the new Cody has some minor deco changes from the 2012 version, although not very noticeable.

Found the deleted scene wave at TRU today, never saw Leia or Lando until now, so I picked them up.  I wonder if the Starkiller wave is still floating around in TRU warehouses.

God, I hope so...that was easily the most impossible to find wave in the past few years. I never saw a single figure from this wave on the pegs around here ANYWHERE.

So...someone posted over at RS recently that there was a variant of the Boss figure in circulation now, the difference being some orange paint apps added to the backpack accessory. (as opposed to the standard all-white backpack)

Of course, now that I'm actually LOOKING for a Boss figure on the pegs again, I can't find one. I did confirm that the one that come with the Walmart 8-pack is the regular version.

What strikes me as odd is that there are NO examples of this variant to be found on eBay anywhere. So I can't help but wonder if this is just a lot of hooey, or if anyone else has seen such a thing, or can find any photographic proof thereof.

Thanks in advance!

Well, it took me 3 months, but I was finally able to confirm that this is in fact a legitimate variant. I think the reason I had so much trouble verifying this is because the variant is only showing up in overseas markets, the UK and Australia mainly from what I can piece together. It is very obvious from the few photos I have seen - definitely all new bright orange paint apps on the backpack.

I was able to snag one just this evening from a seller in the UK for about $23 shipped. Well worth it, IMO as there are not that many true variants in this line and coming at the end I suspect I lot of people will miss this one.

It has been great interacting with so many Clone Wars fans, and I will miss the fun. Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and stories over the years. New adventures of the Clone Wars will be seen on a live performance basis only for the immediate future at our household, and I guess that is all I could ever ask for.

Thank you Jedidefender. It has been great.

Thanks to you for being one of many enthusiasts of the line who helped make this a fun place to come and share excitement about the animated stuff. I will really miss the community aspect here as well. SW will never seem quite as fun or exciting now that the Clone Wars is dead. I expect I'll hang around for a while longer but gradually fade back out over time. It was a really fun ride that ended far too soon.

You forgot Ahsoka

Well, I actually feel like we may not see her again, they sort of left her a nice open-ended "out"...

Saw David 8 and Deacon today at TRU for the first time. Actually not quite as impressive up close as I'd expected. I noticed the previous figures and 2-pack were on sale though, so this may be a good chance for me to jump on board...

Dude, if you watch that clip you'll be happy, I'm pretty sure. Flying red SBD's? Bionic Admiral Trench? OH hell yes.

This is great news for me, it gives them a chance to end things on their own terms, and finish the stories that need to be told. And let's face it, hopefully kill a LOT of extraneous characters Like Cad Bane, Asajj Ventress, Darth Maul, etc. (Hoping Rex lives actually)

Sucks that we won't be getting toys to go along with them, but I'll take what I can get at this point.

For real though, you guys don't need to save that Clovis arc...just throw it in with Season 5 and start fresh with the good stuff.

Whew, this is one I will NOT miss.

Ok, after re-reading Jeff's original post, I am convinced I saw the Wave 4 Revision 2 case at three separate Targets today. Rex and Obi were the giveaways. All the figures from that case were at all 3 stores, and these were stores that had been pretty well picked over for the past few weeks.

Figures they would skimp on the Foxes!

Stopped by TRU today for no apparent reason, and was shocked to find a Commander Fox on the pegs. This is only the third time I have seen him in a store, and the only time outside of Walmart. For $5 this was a no-brainer. This store generally restocks on Saturdays, so I tend not to expect much as I do most of my toy hunting Mon-Fri. Glad I made the time to stop.

Noticed new Clone Wars figures on the pegs at 3 separate Targets today too, and they all appeared to be the same assortment. But not one of the waves from last year. (EX: Rex and Obi, but no Boss, Aayla, etc) Wondering if these are those retread cases we heard about recently starting to hit....

Damn, Jesse, you stay up late!

I thought it was a really good episode too, if for no other reason than the supporting character interactions. Totally agree this was an eye-opening experience for Milton, and especially Angela. SO GLAD Rick finally tipped her off to the Governor/Maggie incident. Yeah, that's the scumbag you're sleeping with. He makes your ex-boyfriend Shane look like a freaking choirboy. And speaking of Shane, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? She told the Governor about him and Lori?!?! What are you thinking girl? That is some inappropriate pillow-talk.

Martinez/Daryl Walker-Gauntlet and subsequent smoke break was pure awesomeness...definitely humanizing, and I totally agree this is a strength of the writing that even the seeming villains have depth and texture.

Except Phillip of course. Was I the only one rolling my eyes over his story about his poor dead wife? Oh no! She died in an accident? Did she slip on banana peel and hit her head? Fall asleep at the wheel and drive off the road? WAAAAH. You poor broken blubbering idiot. RICK'S WIFE WAS DEVOURED WHOLE BY ZOMBIES YOU JACKASS! Nice try.

What was the point of the gun taped to the table? Just in case? And I know it's silly to have expected Rick to just shoot him on the spot, but how is that more of a stretch for him to try and save his family than handing over Michonne? He's willing to buy into that fantasy but can't just murder the dude on the spot and be done with it?

I hope Hershel comes up with some good arguments to keep Rick from doing something stupid. I'm sick and tired of them alienating all the new people.

If Rick was smart he would have said, ok, I'll think about the Michonne thing, but when we meet, it will be at a time and place of my choosing. I'll let you know where to meet us. Why invite them to set up an ambush?

As noted later on Talking Dead, why are they letting Merle near the guns?!?!

Glad to see Glenn and Maggie worked everything out in the sex-garage though.

So would CW Rex be the realistic TVC version show previously? I thought that had more than 5 POA?

Clone Wars Maul had better be spider-legs or the vested, Mando-legs version, because we certainly don't need another carbon copy of the single carded animated version.

************.  >:(

I probably shouldn't be surprised at this point, but the 1-2 punch in the past few weeks since Toyfair with the toy line and show is pretty crushing.

They absolutely deserved a final season to tie up all the loose ends and set things in motion for ROTS. What about all the preproduction work they've already done for Season Six? How far did they even get, will we ever know?

And what about those damn "lost" Clovis episodes? If those aren't on the upcoming Blu-Ray/DVD set that would suck big time.

I'm pretty much to the point that I wish LFL had never been sold, no new movies were ever announced, etc. Because I absolutely think that played a huge part in the untimely demise of the show. Frigging suits. They could have at least held off for another year.

This was my favorite thing about SW since Jedi. Damn it.
