Ditto, I just don't get the continued delay. Do they not know where these things are? Does Hasbro have to get their factories to produce additional units? What's the hold-up?

Nicks IS a GREAT signing...Bucs are definitely making moves this year. Where do you think they'll go in the draft?

Apparently Walmart has dropped the clearance price on this further, from $39.90 to $30...saw the new red tag today.

They've still got a ways to go to match Target or Amazon.

Vincent Jackson got  5 years, $55 million, with a $26 million dollar signing bonus.

Pierre Garcon got 5 years, $42.5 million, with a $21.5 million dollar signing bonus.

The Skins overpaid, badly.  But that's sort of what Snyder does I suppose...

Well, Snyder does not negotiate contracts, that is Bruce Allen's job now...Danny just signs the checks.

Hard to say what the market value would be for Garcon, or what he will ultimately bring to the table, so I think it's a bit early to say he was overpaid BADLY. These contracts seem to balloon every year, so you can't really base it on any previous benchmarks. I agree it sounds like a lot for a guy that is not a legit #1 WR, but who knows what other teams were interested or what he could have commanded elsewhere.

At least there has been a significant change the past few years with Shanahan and Allen focusing their free agent efforts on younger, less "big name" guys who still have plenty of upside. Garcon is 26 and comes without any of the off-field baggage Jackson does, so I'm sure that factored in as well. Ditto Josh Morgan.

Apparently Royal has not officially signed yet, so we'll see what happens there.

I do think Jackson has some mad talent and was a very good pick-up for the Bucs. No doubt Josh Freeman is happy today.

Ok, Free Agency has been official for about four hours now and the Skins have already signed 3 Wide Receivers: Pierre Garcon, Josh Morgan, and Eddie Royal.  :o

At least RGIII will have some new faces to throw to next year.

What's YOUR team doing? Bears Fan digging Brandon Marshall?

My survival picks:

Rick
Lori
Carl
Andrea
Glenn
Maggie
T-Dawg
Darryl

I guess they can keep Carol alive but like Dale she seems increasingly irrelevant. Andrea is sort of on an island now too, post-Shane, but she's interesting enough to keep around, IMO.

Ugh, HIMYM is one of the only shows I have ever STOPPED watching. Normally when I commit to a show I am in for the long haul, but that one aggravated me so much I simply had to give it up.

They should change the name to "Everything That Ever Happened to Me EXCEPT How I Met Your Mother".

My real problem was that the writers set the table wrong for that show and kept trying to paint themselves out of a corner. IE: Ted and Robin. The whole first part of their run was them doing this whole Ross/Rachel type dance, to the point where they got me to root hard for them, only to pull the rug out from under me by screwing them up. And then when Gay Barney got into the picture,  I was done.

I HATE shows where all the characters end up dating each other at one point or another. That's just lazy.

The Slapsgiving episode was awesome though.

Yeah, I hate to call anyone an outright liar, but it would seem to have been a fluke at best. I really have not seen any other reported sightings of these at other sites, nor a sudden surge in domestic ones on eBay.

I'm hoping maybe sometime in April they will start to show up.

I liked that they had a story up about Hasbro laying off employees but nothing about their own layoffs.   :-X  For some reason that just made me chuckle.

I looked but I can't find a single thread in any of their forums where it is even being talked about. Are people that terrified of the Mods over there?

Classy thing to do would have been to at least put a brief blurb up thanking him for his contributions to the site over the years and all the hard work he has put in on their behalf. Guess that was too much to ask...

Re:  Carl - someone else is probably going to get themselves killed because of his stupidity.

Somone already has - Dale!

After re-watching last night's episode - it seems like Shane's plan was pretty scattered at first.  I think he led Rick out there to goad him into killing him.  That was his true end-game:  suicide.  But he needed Rick to do it and carry it with him for the rest of his life.

The guy in Talking Dead alluded to this too, but I don't think that's what was going on in that scene. I don't think Shane actually wanted or expected Rick to shoot him. I think he was trying to prove his point very vividly - that Rick was not able to protect his family or lead thr group because he was scared to make the hard choices. He's basically taunting Rick - 'hey, I'm a threat to you, your loved ones, and everyone else in our group, I brought you out here to kill you, and you're STILL not willing to fight to protect what's yours?'

It's as if Shane was almost trying to convince himself that Rick was not worthy. Even as far as he had gone to that point, he still needed to cement his resolve. And I think he would have done it too, if Rick had not gone all K-Bar on him. (That was beautiful)

I'm certain Glenn and Dale recognized Randall was the walker. It took me two viewings to be sure myself.

Yeah, that last scene in the field with the encroaching walkers looked amazing on HD widescreen.

Wow, I always learn something new in here. Did not realize the Lili Ledy Jawa had a removable hood - cool! How does that compare to the Vinyl Cape Jawa in terms or rarity/price?

I'm kind of back onto vintage buying right now with the recent lull in Clone Wars offerings. Over the weekend I was lucky enough to finally pick up my Early Bird Double telescoping Luke figure. Pricey, but worth it. Nice to have knocked that off the list as well.

I recently got my annual bonus at work and was hoping to actually parlay some of that love into a VC Jawa, but the prices on those things seem alot higher than the last time I was looking.

I had a chance at a Toltoys cardboard Death Star playset (essentially a licensed version of the Palitoy release) over this weekend but I foolishly balked at the BIN price and put in a traditional bid hoping to get it a little cheaper. Not surprisingly, I woke up yesterday to find my bid had been cancelled. Some douche offered the guy more money and he killed the auction. (That should not even be allowed BTW, but whatever)

Still psyched about DT Luke though!  ;D

EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the idea to spring Randall was just a set-up to kill him, did not think we could get to the other place so soon.

The whole episode was really well done, from the opening scene to the very last one. I am definitely watching the re-run in HD tonight.

Loved that Darryl was not buying the half-assed getaway story.
Loved Andrea deadpanning to Rick "Maybe you should stop leaving". (she's right!)
Loved Glenn getting his walker killing mojo back.
I even liked Carl manning up and getting a little redemption at the end there.

Lori continues to be a real piece of work though. Mixed signals much? I'm sure that little chat is what sent Shane over the edge, thinking he could have back everything he wanted again. Real cute lady.

Definitely something going on with the dead changing into insta-walkers. So maybe they're all already infected and the virus just presents after death as was speculated previously?

Really psyched for next week, but already feeling bummed we are looking at another long hiatus after that.

Is Fringe getting cancelled? I actually enjoy it, i hope that it isnt.

There hasn't been an official decision yet, but it's not looking all that great at this point. The sad thing is, Fox won't tell them one way or the other before the final episode is shot, so they have no idea how to write things out for the rest of the season. Which means we will probably get one of those lame, unsatisfying "pseudo-endings" that doesn't really resolve anything.

I've always liked the show, but I think this season they finally stapped over the "X-Files" line, the point at which the show begings to collapse under the weight of its own mythology and becomes self-contradictory and ultimately a logical mess.

I mean seriously, BOTH Ninas are evil now?  ::)

Nice news to wake up to...Skins trade the house for rights to snag RGIII next month.  :o

It only cost:
2012 First Round pick
2012 Second Round pick
2013 First Round pick
2014 First Round pick

Yikes. I definitely think they overpaid, but I also think it's the right move and one they had to make. Cleveland was essentially offering the same deal, only they came late and apparently balked at trading both their first round picks this year, and Skins had a higher second to offer. It was really close though.

It just makes sense. The Shan Clan was obviously not overly wowed by the second-tier talent at the senior bowl/combine. RGIII fits their mold perfectly, great arm, mobile, athlectic, etc. And he's as dangerous above the neck as below. You can't argue the choice. Seems like a solid character guy as well.

They weren't going to make any strides with the current group of QB's they had, and with Peyton out and Flynn apparently not in the running, they only had the draft as their best option. This is probably the one year they could afford fewer picks as well, being so far under the cap will allow them to fill more holes with free agency.

And let's face it, the team was not going to make a real run this year anyway, but the fanbase will be a helluva lot more patient with RGIII in the fold than they would have been with anyone else in there short of Manning. This buys Shanny and company more time if nothing else.

It's a QB league, and if you don't have one of the few elite guys, you're just treading water. When you have a chance to get a guy of that caliber, you have to take it. I just hope they can build up enough of a team around him quickly enough to facilitate his success.

Go Skins~
