Watto's Junk Yard / Re: 'The Hobbit' movie

The Hobbit trailer (in 3D) played in front of Phantom Menace at my theatre. That was a nice bonus for going to see TPM.

Nice, we got the Three Stooges trailer here...not really the same caliber IMO.  ::)

I won an eBay auction from Canada for $35. Should be here any day.

I thought about going that route but I don't want the trilingual packaging, just the good old US American English version. Those seem to be priced higher on eBay for some reason.

Star Wars Universe / Re: 'Star Wars' in 3-D?

Saw it last night, with about 3 other people in the theater...uh-oh, Georgie!

Seemed like a waste of $14 to me...I didn't really see any enhancement through the use of 3D.

The one thing that stood out was during the pod race when Anakin sticks that magnet rod out to reel in the Pod cable. It's coming right at you!  ::)

After all this time, the plot still doesn't make any sense either. Who is taxing the trade federation routes? How does this result in a blockade? What is the point of it all anyway?

I literally laughed out loud during the scene where Yoda says "TWO there are always" - yeah, right. By the time of the CW TV Series there are at least 5 Sith running around with no fear of recrimination.  ::)

WOW...courtesy JTA:

Hasbro: The Mandalorian Assault Transport unfortunately did not make it out in time. Retail has discontinued the Shadow Of The Dark Side phase of The Clone Wars line so there isn't a place for it on shelves now. Orders placed through Entertainment Earth should be fulfilled. That may be your best bet for this vehicle because this vehicle has not been considered for release anytime in the near future.

ARE YOU FING KIDDING ME?!?! Is this why we're getting 19 figures this year because you BLEW the tooling budget on a stupid ship no one wanted in the first place which never even made it out to stores?!?

This is so beyond stupid I can't even put it into words...massively epic fail. I mean that's just a terrible blunder. How can you not manage the line better than this?

I'm really glad they answered the question at least, but holy cow.

Anyways, I pre-ordered mine from EE tonight as they commanded...hope I get it.

WOOT!  Pops is on the way at long last!!!!!!

As soon as I saw that, I thought about that guy on JD who has the Pops sig and figured you would be super happy tonight. Rock on.

I'm psyched for Princess Kneesa and more EWOKS animated goodness!

The Super Battle Droid is new, SWEET!

Edit It's a training simulator Super Battle Droid from the Clone Cadets episode, repaint of the same old sculpt..... no new articulation. :(

Cool, just saw the pics over at 'Scum...this is fine by me. At least it's not another stinking repack.

Wonder why they didn't show Fox?

Curious how long the SW presentation lasted in minutes compared to GI JOE and Transformers, which seemed to go on forever.

Not surprisingly, pretty lackluster.

Shoot, the first two waves of Avengers figures have ZERO villains. It's like Hasbro does not understand how kids play with these things.

Color me shocked when Anakin cuts Twazzi's arm off. We've never seen it rain limbs anywhere in this series (unless you count the Battle Droids), undoubtedly because it's a kid's show.

Dang, I missed that...will have to go back and watch again. It's hard to follow all the action on this show when I watch the non-HD version. Good catch.

Did Derrown die? Or did he just "explode offscreen" ala Aurra Sing?

So who's in town for all the brouhaha today?

Anyone here doing any podcasting, streaming, tweeting, etc?

1pm is the Hasbro presentation? Or just the SW part?

Prepared to be underwhelmed!  (Not by the coverage, but the "reveals")  ;)

Agreed, it was a big let-down after last week's episode. The whole thing was just nonsensical to the point of distraction. They hatch this elaborate scheme, about 10 different things go awry, yet it all somehow still works perfectly and they only fail because Dooku leaves them hanging? What?

I guess it would be a nice mental shortcut to simply surmise "Well, the whole thing was just an elaborate hoax staged by Palps to test drive his future apprentice against the current one" but come on. He couldn't have thought of a simpler plan?

At least we got a whole episode set on Naboo with no Jar-Jar.

I asked about this at two different TRU's today over lunch and they looked at me like I had three arms or something. They had literally NO idea what I was talking about.

So I don't know what the story is but I guess I am SOL when it comes to these things.

Anyone actually find this mysterious $10 off any SW purchase coupon at TRU?

I am headed over there shortly to check...seems too good to be true.
