The Legacy Collection / Re: The Return of Saga Legends

I already have my fill of Snowtroopers.  I'm just glad I was able to find a red ARC Trooper.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Do You "Collect 'Em All"?
« on: December 6, 2008, 12:15 AM »
I used to "buy 'em all" back in 1995 when POTF2 started, which was a great time to collect.  Boy, was it fun.  Steroid Han, Vader & Luke figures were on the pegs with monkey face Leia and excitement filled the air.  Good times.

The Legacy Collection / Re: TRU Exclusive Battlefront 2 Multipacks
« on: November 21, 2008, 09:30 AM »
This set was great when it first came out.  I can't really understand why anyone would be interested in this set again just because it features new packaging.  If I already own the exact same figures, why would this set interest me in the least, regardless of the price (10% off, 15% off, 50% off, etc.)?

Found FX-6 this weekend at Target.  It was the only figure out of the whole bunch I was interested in.

Watto's Junk Yard / Bikini waxes.....for pre-teens?!?!
« on: October 9, 2008, 04:09 PM »
WTF?!

Waxing body hair — from the simple shaping of an eyebrow arch to the painful transformation of the bikini line — has long been a rite of passage for adult women. But now, more mothers around the U.S. are taking their tweens — kids 10 to 12 years old and some even younger — to salons to get body hair removed.

“For waxing, 12 years old is the ‘new normal,’ ” Engle said.

The International Spa Association reports that 16 percent of teens who have visited a spa have had a hair removal procedure done, but the organization has no numbers for younger children because they aren’t allowed to survey them. Several salon owners around the country told TODAYshow.com that the number of kids 12 and under coming in for waxing services has increased dramatically over the past three years.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Wave 5 - A New Hope
« on: October 8, 2008, 01:21 AM »
Very nice.  I'm excited about this wave.  2009 will be great.  New aliens, new droids.  Awesome.

I think Wioslea looks the best of the alien bunch.  Trinto kinda looks like a burn victim.  Hmm...I hope the end product will be better.

Give 'em a year.

You'll be able to snag one for $8 plus shipping.

Yes, and even then, you'll be paying $6 too much.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Ahsoka Tano w/ Rotta the Hutt?
« on: September 21, 2008, 01:28 AM »
I saw this one at Target today.  Very tempting just for the little Hutt thing.

I hated Ahsoka in the movie, but the figure does look very nice.  And the concept of having a baby Hutt was appealing...

But I ultimately passed.

You passed on cute 'lil Stinky?  Shame on you.

On the other hand, if Lucas bastardizes SW for the upteenth time with another EU cartoon/comic/story & has Jabba copulate once more & have another kiddo & authorizes Hasbro to make a figure of said kiddo, maybe you can bite then?  Huh?  Maybe?  Yes?

The Legacy Collection / Re: All caught up?
« on: September 20, 2008, 02:24 PM »
The only upcoming item that might keep me actively looking, is the Yavin Battle pack as I'll pick up a few for the tech's.

Same here.  The Yavin battle pack is the only thing I'll be on the lookout for as far as upcoming items.

I'm caught up for the most part.  I'd like to score a yellow ARC Trooper, but it's no biggie if I don't.

The paint job on Jodo's very nice, though, and although he's worthless as an action figure, he looks cool.

Yes he does.  Jodo displays well alongside the other Mandalore figs.

BTW, do you think Jodo knows Judo?

Picked up a Saleucami Trooper today at Target.  I was hoping to find a yellow ARC Trooper too but no such luck today.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Is Yoda a coward?
« on: September 15, 2008, 06:49 PM »
None of this even touches on the Skywalker kids (who I think Yoda did not want trained, but that is a different subject entirely.)

Hmm...if Obi-Wan & Yoda learn about the living force only after they go into hiding, how did Anakin learn about the living force (since his spirit appears at the end of ROTJ)?  Who taught Anakin?!

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Bar's open! What'll you have...?
« on: September 15, 2008, 06:45 PM »

Thankfully I have 2/3 of a bottle of this at home. Might have to take a couple hits before I go get The Force Unleashed.

Nice.  When it comes to tequila, I like Don Julio and Patron.

Well, I finally broke down & purchased my first animated figure:

Who's the sucker now?!

Ha.   8)

Alas, it's true: I'm a sucker.  But a sucker that was had for only $7.99.  Could've been worse (i.e. $20, $30, $50).   ;D

Well, I finally broke down & purchased my first animated figure: Ahsoka.  I found her this morning at Target.  All in all, I think they did a great job with her.
