Hey Hasbro! / Re: Questions for Hasbro?
« on: January 21, 2010, 02:22 PM »
Dear Hasbro,

I started collecting Star Wars when I took my 3 year old son (now 6) to go see ROTS at the dollar theater (I wasn't sure how well he would do since it was his first theater experience).  Well, not only did he love the movie but he also loved the toys he saw on the store shelves.  So I started collecting for my son while reliving my childhood through him during the Saga 2006 line.  Since that time I have really closed the gap on obtaining definitive versions of almost all characters that have been made since POTF2 for my son to play with and have in our collection.  One of the very few characters I haven't felt compelled to purchase in the after market yet is Aurra Sing - all of her current releases have very little articulation.  My question to you is how far down your list is a new, super articulated, Aurra Sing in a realistic format?

Justin

If that is the case then I will be hoping for ROTJ to kick off the line.  There are so many characters from that film that I am wanting done/redone.

I can't decide whether or not I think this new headsculpt is more or less accurate than the first.  What do you all think?

yeah, I had drop in them in some hot water to soften them up and even then I still had to use a nearby butter knife to help pry them off.

ah that makes sense looking at it from a site's director point of view.  I also didn't put it all together until just now that JTA was the site exclusively getting these leaks first.

I have made it known that I don't hold too much stock in the validaty of these slides. At this point it kinda won't shock me either way - thats the state of mind I have got myself into because I guess nothing real substantial has been 100% confirmed at this point.

Whats bugging me now?  Why are the slides "trickling" out?  I assume that the slides are coming from the same "source", so the release of 1-2 power point slides a week baffles me.  I would just, I'll use the word again, assume that whoever is releasing these slides has them all.  So why don't we?  Whats with the tease?

Also, though this is minor, some of the slides have the "subject to change" disclaimer on them, and some do not.

yes they are.  I bought a 2nd one of these packs when I found that out.  The white ewok with white hood is pretty cool.

i never saw that pic either.  Also i just beat the game and I never saw an outfit that resembled that one.  Musta been a super-secret unlockable outfit that I missed.  Anyway, I am not too impressed with it.

I agree with what Jesse is saying too.  I voted more EU based - which may have been because of all the early reports, which turned out to be true, with the fall of the comic pack line.

I just went to Rebelscum and they now have the entire list in order of how al figures ranked.  The 7 of the top 8 are EU.  This leads me to agree with all of Jesse's points even more.

man, only 1 EU character didn't make it to the top - I smell hoax...

edit x many   :P

went to WM on lunch.  They had the entire ESB wave on the pegs, I let them hang since I have them already.

They also did their toy dept reset, here is what I saw:
comic packs up to $15 - they had 3 leia xizor packs...
Clearance:  AT-TE $50, Evo packs for $12.50, GI Joe Pit $65, and to my surpise all Marvel Universe figs clearanced to $5 in the clearance area - no home for them in the main toy dept...

Not certain if we have the possibility of seeing an upcomming ROTJ wave but if so 2 movie figures very high on my want list are all new SA versions of Admiral Ackbar and a Gamorrean Guard.  Would also love to see any other figure from the Jabba scenes unmade get their debut in plastic form.

Over the course of the past week I have picked up complete waves from the BOGO at Target for ANH, ROTJ, and TPM except for the Gungan and whoever he comes with, which I woulda loved to have - that Gungan rocks!

All of these BOGO sets were purchased at the same Target store.  I feel lucky!
