Not meaning to turn this into a Toyrocket.com thread, but I think people need to know.

Just got off the phone with "Rodrigo" again - he is the guy who answers the phone there.  It took many (20+) calls to finally get through to someone, and yes, the answering machine is still full (not by messages from me  ;) ).  I explained all of my aggrivation - he understood.  I asked him when he thought I might get my order and he started to speculate since "it looks like that since it was sent out some time on last Friday", wait a second Redrigo I have to stop you last there.  When I spoke to you last week you told me it shipped out on Tuesday, the 22nd (it looks like I wrote the 24th in this thread earlier but I must have mistyped, it should have been the 22nd - the 24th was Thanksgiving).

So he was baffled.  He was also not certain why I didn't have a tracking number (he didn't have one either).  He said he would check with USPS to see what is going on there and contact me tomorrow - we'll see.  He also confided in me that they are just now shipping orders that were made on 11/10/09, so he is certain that mine would have shipped already (yet he has no proof by tracking number and cant even say with certainty when it shipped), and as you can see, they are still very far behind.

I asked him point blank if they are legit- he said yes (of course).  I have ordered from them in the past (TAC R2/D2-3PO) and didn't have any issues with them.  He apologized when I explained as I have here already all of the things I was not happy with in their business and he also said that if I do not receive my items by the end of the week he would issue me a full refund - thats fine I guess but I did order from them for a reason - I liked the prices and the product, I wanted the deal.  He said if I do receive the items I could send them back after i was refunded - that just baffles me and shows me once again they don't know what the heck is going on.

No, I get what you are saying.  But bottom line, based on what I am used to from other sites (EE and HTS), dealing with toyrocket has not been my cup of tea.  Seriously not sending out items that were in stock until 2.5 weeks (supposedly) after they charged me?  getting close to 1 month later til I (hopefully) receive it - sure there was 1 holiday in there I get that.

I understand your comparison with the Eopie, but to me that is a completely different animal based on what we as collectors are told.  Heck, even on the slip you fill out to get a mail away it tells you it is going to be a long time before you get it.  Toyrocket promises 3 days.  Honestly I could care less about their 3 day guarantee, but I think once I passed the 2 week point of waiting I think it is ok for me to start to get aggitated.

And since you bring up the bankrupcy that is another valid point to be concerned with.  If they go belly up I doubt my CC company would even be able to challenge them and get my money back.  And finally - still no tracking info?  come on.

and for kicks, I just tried calling again and guess what, no one picked up and their mailbox was full.  Each time I call either someone will pick up (cool) or no one does and the mailbox is full.  And I draw some speculative conclusions on a company thats answering service is seemingly always full.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Recent Legacy Purchases
« on: December 1, 2009, 12:06 PM »
Biggest day at retail in such a long time!!!    ;D ;D ;D

Just went on my lunch to Walmart in Osceola, Indiana (NW Indiana), and lo and behold a Dewback.  Sweet, I already have one that I got "site to store", but I have a $5 off coupon so I thought I would get one and send the full priced one back later.

BUT THE FUN DIDN'T STOP THERE!!!    ;D ;D ;D

There was also a full case of the new ESB wave of figures on the pegs!!!  I grabbed one of each of the new figures and left the repacks (Snowtrooper, Plo, Agen).  The paint apps are phenomenal and I couldn't be more happy with them.  I also used several more $5 off coupons on these, plus a CW Argyus figure - so I saved a bunch of $$$

Seriously, I don't think I have bought a figure that I didn't already have at retail since Wave 5.  Everything else I (1 of each new BAD figure) I have grabbed off HTS.

Happy Hunting!!!!

ps - incase anyone is curoius about the droid parts break down, I noticed that the R2-X2 came with a leg (so since I bought the whoel wave of new figures I have an extra leg), the Snowtrooper repack came with a leg, and both Plo and Agen came with arms.  Hope that makes sense, if anyone has further questions I will look at the figures again and answer questions when I get home - back to work time right now!

the one I ordered arrived yesterday.  I don't remember the exact date that I ordered it, but it doesn't seem like it took too long.

I have never had one of these before and I am quite happy with it for what it is.   ;D

Just thought I would post here, again, if anyone is following/cares about how my toyrocket.com order is going.  Remember - I ordered on the 11/7/09:

On 11/24/09 I called and spoke with a representative at toyrocket.com - the same guy I have spoke with before.  He claimed to me that my order was sent out on 11/24/09 (2.5 weeks after I made the order) and that I "will" receive a confirmation/tracking number later that day.  He also stated to me that I should receive everything by this Thursday (12/3/09).  To this day I still have not received a confirmation/tracking #.

I called my credit card company (Wells Fargo) yesterday to see what my window of dispute time frame is with them on this.  They told me 6 months from the purchase date so I am going to let this ride a while longer.

I did however take another step letting them know how unhappy I was with their service by firing off another email to them.  I did let them know that I was very unhappy with their service, unhappy they charged me without being prepared to ship what I ordered, unhappy that this has taken so long to ship instock items even when their website states clearly that all orders for instock items are shipped within 3 days, and also very unhappy with this giant run around and laundry list of broken promises they have made me (5 more days, 2 more days, etc etc).  Bottom line - I told them this was the worst online transaction I have ever made - and I have made my fair share of orders online -big and small online dealers alike.

I told them I would be reporting to the collecting communities that I belonged to about my bad experience with them, and, if I don't receive my order soon I will be filing with my credit card company and the BBB.

Feedback / Re: Ryan's (pka Sith Lord Chaos) feedback
« on: November 25, 2009, 10:07 AM »
Just purchased a very large lot of figs from Ryan.  He was a most excellent person to work with.  All of the figures that I purchased from him for my son were perfect.  Thanks a lot Ryan, I would gladly do business with you again in the future!

Thanks,
Justin

Got my order from Toy Rocket today and everything looks good outside of the item that they reimbursed me for.  As a bonus, I didn't realie I had ordered the CW Assassin Droid x2, so was shocked to see these in the box!  Looks like this is a safe bet - order at will!

I wouldn't got that far yet...

I emailed them early this afternoon and I just checked now and I haven't heard back from them yet.  I know, I shouldn't panic and give them time to respond.  However, when I call and I try to contact them and no one picks up and it goes to their answering machine, then tells me to leave a message, but I cannot because the answering machine is full - that gives me a little reasoning to be concerned...   :o

edit:  also, live chat operators = not available....

edit x2:  finally got a hold of someone on the phone.  he said my order is taking so long because it was so large (33+ items) and they had to locate evrything in their warehouse.  he said now i should receive a shipping notice Friday or Monday.

Well, I have received multiple notices saying that they got way more orders in than expected and that there would be delays of 5-7 days.  I was getting these even after my shipment was sent out, so I assume they've gone to everyone who ordered including yourself.  Sending an email and getting a response same day is relatively rare in my experience.  Even big retailers like Target often say they will get back to you in 24-48 hours.

I’m just a sample of one, but outside of the item that they removed from my order, everything went smoothly with my order.  I got a well packed box of all the items I ordered and everything was in very good shape, so I would order from them again.

I am happy everything worked out for you - because they didn't make good with their promises to me again.  I did not receive a shipping notification as promised on Friday or today.   I have to have another email bout with them...  a business that wants to bring in new customers or bring customers back should not be operating like this.  Also, their voice mail was once again fulll...   :o

The Legacy Collection / Re: Walmart Legacy Collection AT-ST
« on: November 23, 2009, 12:12 PM »
just got this yesterday and I was very underwhelmed by this after picking up the AT-TE recently for nearly the smae price.  I understand that it is not a very fait comparison, but dollars to dollars this thing is horrible.

While the insane amount of articulation is cool upon opening the box, out of the box it is less than spectacular.  Mine loves to fall over if it is in any position other than the one straight out of the box.  Also, the head will not stay on.  The way the head is supposed to clip in doesn't work I think because the clips are too small.  It should be fixable with glue - but that should not be necessary.

Also the driver leaves nothing to write home about in comparison to figures of todays current standards.

$44 is way too much for this - but again I am jaded after recently getting the AT-TE for $50.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Collection Comic Packs
« on: November 19, 2009, 10:14 AM »
exactly.  I was super stoked about the comic packs pictured above.  now they are in limbo as to when they will get released.  I am saying "when" as opposed to "if" because they are there, they are tooled, they spent money on them, some day they will come out - just "when"?

bottom line in my mind Hasbro "killed" the line in terms of bad sales.  Legacy line cp breakdown that killed the line imo:

3) Anakin Skywalker & Assassin Droid (Republic) - repack from TAC collection
6) Fenn Shysa & Dengar (Marvel) - craptastic marvel coloring.  purple Dengar wtf?  i will pass on a Barney fig.
7) Princess Leia & Tobbi Dala (Marvel) - craptastic marvel coloring.  basically just a repaints.  Leia has barebones articulation.  I thought Hasbro said that when they raised the price of the comic packs from the TAC lines to the Legacy line it was so they could put better quality figs out...  this could also be said about the above CP - except I still have a somewhat soft-spot for Dengar since I don't have one yet.
8 ) Leia Organa & Prince Xizor (Shadows of the Empire) - I bought this set but I know a lot of people didn't due to Leia cankles and Xizor looked like a girlie man.
9) Grand Admiral Thrawn & Talon Karrde (Heir to the Empire) - I bought this set but I can see why it didn't sell well.  I don't think kids are too interested in Admirals in general, plus I don't think the "Sons of Anarachy" action figure in this pack looked out of place from Star Wars.
10) Darth Vader & Grand Moff Trachta (Empire) - basically $13 for Trachta plus a comic.  No one needs that Vader.  takes me back to my price bump questioning...
11) Darth Vader & Princess Leia (Infinities - Return of the Jedi) - repack/repaint - nothing new.  Vader with the wrong color saber.

and of course the plain old marvel repacks:
  1) Darth Vader & Rebel Officer (Marvel)
  2) Chewbacca & Han Solo (Marvel)

Final thoughts:
1. crappy pack selection as noted above.
2. price bump that did not follow through with their intentions.
3. crappy pack selection as noted above coupled with price bump that did not follow through with their intentions.

='s Hasbro not taking the CP line in the right direction.  While I am not a Star Wars comics afficinado, I am sure that there are comic packs that could have been made that were much more exciting.

Shadows of the Dark Side / Re: 2010 Disney Star Tours Box Set
« on: November 17, 2009, 01:12 PM »
and what stinks is that I am actually planning on taking a road trip to Disney World this year for Christmas (driving from NW Indiana to Orlando) and I would have to pay to enter a different park to see this.  I really wish that wasn't the case but I don't think I have enough time/cash to justify hitting up another park for one attraction.

please correct if I am wrong about Star Tours being in a seperate park from the Magic Kingdom.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Hasbro Q&A Sessions
« on: November 17, 2009, 10:57 AM »
I'm a little disappointed at that answer as well.  I like it, and even at the price I like it, but I'd like a ROTS deco better than the CW one, and I'm sad we won't be getting htat it appears.

It is a stagnant toy though.  Not moving much locally.

It's super overpriced at $35.  I like the looks of the toy but geez $35 for a $25 toy tops is what enters my mind.  I blame Wal-Mart soley for this debacle  :'(

completely agree.  I am waiting for this to drop a bit in price.  I would buy at $25.
