The Aliens Kubricks have finally hit the stores here in Japan.

And it looks like the chase figure is a face hugger.

Kubricks / Series 2

I got the low down on the Kubrick Luke. It's 1500yen plus 1575yen for delivery whick makes it about $26-7. At this stage I've managed to hook up 2. One's for me and the other one is spoken for. I'm working on some more.  Sorry I can't make promises to anyone that I can get a cheap one for them but I'll try my best. I'm sure alot will pop up on the second hand market here.

Also the Series 2's have a November release date, which is listed on the Medicom web site.

Oh and the Kubrick plastic cases will also be out in November.

Great name for the thread.

Here's a picture of Jim's Boba in it acrylic case. Nice hey.

For the third Series? Well they've done an ANH set and a ESB set so I reckon they might do a Jedi set next. Jabba's Palace maybe.A blue saber/green saber for Jedi Luke maybe for the variation.  An Endor set would be good. Hopefully not too many Ewoks though.

I just remembered that the Evangelion sets came out with stands included, so I guess there are generic ones around.

The Japanese have been selling little toys like this for years before Kubricks were invented, so there are hundreds of different types of generic plastic cases that are all different shapes and sizes. I've also seen so stands with pegs but Im not sure if they were for Kubricks or another line.  I'll check on it next time I'm at a toy store.

If you need some help translating the Medicom website, use this link to help you. It doesnt provide perfect translations, and some of its quite funny, but youll get the idea.

That truck was part of the Special Forces series. I think they are up to series 6 now. It was a limited edition mail order only van, and is only available on the secondhand market now. I dont see them very often for sale.

I love the idea of the Kubrick Star Wars vehicles. Fingers crossed.

Thanks everyone.

Cheap carded Kubrick figures? Looks like I wont be making any friends quickly. But Ill hang if its OK!

Whats an Aussie doing in Japan? Same as every other ex-pat I guess - chasing money!! Unfortunetly, all mine goes back into the local toy ecomony and keeps me broke, thus meaning I cant go back home.

  ;D ;D

As for the Disney figure, from the Medicom website, the second from the right figure is listed as Old Bob from the Black Hole. I hope this helps.

Yes the Boba Fett carded figures are very hot and yes they are  going for $200-$300 on Yahoo! Japan as we speak. I dont think Ill be buying any.  They are a bit out of my price range.

As for the Carded Luke Figure, they haven't appeared on the second hand market yet, but Ill be sure to let you know if they do.

The hot  Kubrick item in Japan at the moment are Back to the Future, Sesame Street aqnd of course, Star Wars.
Sorry for not introducing myself to the newbie section; Im off there now to do it.

Im sorry I didnt introduce myself on the Newbie Secion. Im going there to do it now.

Hi Everyone. Im new to the boards and was refered here by one of the members.  I live in Japan and have been collecting Kubricks for about a year now.

I think Medicom may have made a mistake in the quantities of of each figure that they allocated to each box of the Star Wars Bounty Hunters. As it stands there are 4 Bobas, 3 IG-88s, 2 Bossks, and 1 each of Dengar, 4-Lom and Zuckuss. They can all be individually bought in toy shops in Japan, however it is almost impossible to find the individuals of Dengar, 4-Lom and Zuckuss.

I think in the future, these 3 might go for a premium so get them while you can. Boba, IG-88 and Bossk are a dime a dozen.  This is only a hunch mind you.
