I want to see this - is it making a filmfest circuit or anything?  I like anything about fast food.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Sci-Fi Hotties.. ONLY Sci-Fi

Ok, I'm a Buffy fan, so I'm required to do this.

Iyari Limon (Kennedy)

Was she in a sci-fi movie or are you considering Buffy as sci-fi? Kinda looks like my girlfriend...

On a related note, have you guys ever noticed how un-sci-fi half of the movies are that are played on the "sci-fi" channel?

She was just in Buffy, and that's a cute picture of her, but there's other ones where you can see she's actually hot.  I'm more for the loose interpretation of Sci-fi - one where any fantastic elements that cross into sci-fi territory are included.  Makes room for more hotties.  Yeah, I was sorely dissappointed in the lack of space battles and whatnot on the Sci-Fi channel when I got it, but they really got to stretch their niche if they want to show anything.  They have at least produced some good Sci-Fi miniseries.  But yeah, Chucky?  That's going to far.  They've played Chucky movies.

Man, sorry for polluting this thread with so many words!  Bleh!  Pics!

Let's see:

2 lawnmowers
2 chainsaws
3 ceiling fans (uninstalled)
toolbox
2 car stereos
bag of guitar stuff (effects, tuner)
tons of cds, from my car and from a "security" storage site

I dunno, that's all I remember now, though I know I've had other stuff ripped off.  The worst is the damage from thieves - like smashing my car window to get a case of CD-Rs - all just worthless. The best is when the joke's on the thieves - like they also hauled away two TVs from my storage space - both broken!  Haha.  Its usually so aggravating, but its just stuff.  Maybe if I'd get out of the hoods I'd have better luck.

I like the smell of the garden center.  Makes me think I'm gonna score. (toys - I'm gonna score toys.)

I've gone through some free and easy stages before, and yeah I can't deny the groovy vibe, back to nature feel you get.  Party.  Sometimes I still do just for kicks, or because the situation demands it, like the lack of laundry problem you guys have had.

I don't know why I keep coming back.  Maybe its because, as good as free-wheelin' feels, there's also the fresh clean feeling you get from putting a pair of freshly laundered boxers - like wearing Snuggles the teddy bear in your pants!

The layout's great.  Truth be told, I thought the old 'Scum looked better, just because of the colors, but now that its changed, this forum is the one to beat.  Sorry, no suggestions yet, but just don't change it too much.

That's quite a sneaky spoof there, but what I don't understand are these other junk spoofs that I get every day, sometimes 2 or 3 per day.

The subject line always says "Question from eBay member regarding...", though it looks exactly like the kind of emails you would get from a member contacting you.  The text says some variation of "Hello, please add $7.00 for shipping to East Albuquerque for item # xxxxxxxxxx, wireless networking router."  There is no link in the email.  When I go to eBay and search for the item number, of course it comes up blank.

What gives?  There is no fake eBay site or request for my password.

I keep picking this up:

Unwound - Leaves Turn Inside You

I've been spinning early 70s era Pink Floyd too, so they are related.

Its cluttered and the colors are off and the smiley things look ugly.  And why is it sized so that its smushed in the center of the screen?  I guess it that's normal, but the whole thing looks off.  I guess I'll have to get used to it if I want to enjoy hunting down elusively worthwhile or fun posts.

I can't find any problems I've had with security incompatibilities.  All of my outgoing PMs are gone.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: WB Cancels 'Angel'; Save the show!
« on: April 22, 2004, 09:03 AM »
You missed two episodes?  Ok basically,

1 Ep:

- Gunn, Spike, and Angel find Lindsey held captive in a Powers That Be suburb dimension, tortured once a day in the cellar, living the same day every day.  Gunn volunteers to take his place as redemption for what he did to Fred.  Adam Baldwin shows up to take the place of Eve as a Powers That Be go-between.

Meanwhile, Wes and Illyria have comical conversations about other dimensions vs. this world, while you can tell Wes is sinking into depression.
He dreams thematic dreams about Fred.

2 Ep:

- Connor and parents show up ("Hey, Dad"), and we find out the high powered Warlock who reprogrammed all of their memories needs Connor to fulfill the prophecy of killing Sahjhan (who is held in the urn). He blackmails Angel into bringing Connor to him, threatening to return his memory.  Meanwhile Wes, with more funny/touching scenes with Illyria,  catches on that some kind of reality shift occurred when they joined W&H, so he suspects Angel of betrayal.  Wes shows up at the fight and gets the magic box that will return all the memories.  He smashes it, so he remember what actually happened - all the bad stuff between him and Angel - while Connor gets the memories back too. Connor gets viscious and kills Sahjhan.  Connor leaves, without actually saying he remembers, but he hints he does, and decides he must go back to his adopted parents.

A genuine MGA (?) that I got for 50 bucks from a roommate, and its probably 16 years old.

I also got a Philco from like 1960 that worked fine until recently, when a tube burnt out.  :(  It weighs one ton, and now supports a vcr, dvd, and receiver.

They're like old friends.  Time for at least one new one.

Great flick.  Its a testament to the writers' skill that I didn't get lost in this complex story.  There is so much back and forth in time, and a lot of figuring out when this or that happened, that usually I would have to see it a second time.  The color of her hair was a great visual clue let you know what's going on in the scenes.  Clementine in that kitchen memory was hilarious.  Its great to see these big actors show their chops in a movie that's not cliche or predictable. You could figure out what was going to happen early on, I think, but it was a nice way to end it.
