Revenge of the Sith / Re: Target Exclusive Utapau Shadow Trooper

Remember the date on this is 11/20, so there may be a few hold-out Targets that will actually abide by the date (tomorrow as of this posting).

I thought I was going to have to hunt Sunday morning for this, but I found someone to bring out the 2 cases last week. The first time I asked, it was a new guy who was trying to be careful to go by the book, and he was really apologetic when he couldn't put them out. A few days later I asked someone else, and she had no problem.

Alright, just broke the grand milestone. $1,009.74 ($54.54 tax) on Star Wars this year.

Interestingly, only $540.76 ($27.94 tax) is for Ep.III stuff. (I keep track of tax just for the heck of it.  This is how Star Wars supports local government spending.)  So that's about $500 more than I planned to spend on Ep.III  ::) .

$1530.81 ($76.62 tax) is the total amount spent of toys this year thus far.

I saw this too. I like to read about big time Hollywood producers, and he really seemed interesting, definitely a part of two worlds.   He was in Jordan with his daughter attending a wedding.  #$%& the bombers for his and the other innocents' deaths.  AP News

I caught Meshuggah a couple of days ago.
Whoa. Feeling those low end polymetric riffs, while people (kids) can still head bob to  the basic beat, amazing. I've been wanting to see a show like that since I was 16.  I don't even go to metal shows anymore.

Middle Earth / Re: LOTR Trilogy Figures

It seems like the 3¾ scale is terribly out of style anyway. Are there any others besides Star Wars?

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: ROTS DVD Nov 1st
« on: November 9, 2005, 10:01 AM »
I suppose it was a way to cut time and tighten up the action, but I agree that leaving out that scene took away from Grievous' characterization. If we hadn't watched the Clone Wars cartoons, we'd just think he was a weezy coward that wouldn't command too much respect.  I had to explain him to people that had not seen the cartoon.

I'd rather see the Shaak Ti than the first elevator scene, if we're talking about editing the movie down. Its more a matter of taste, but that scene didn't add the excitement I think it was supposed to.  R2 could have kicked ass on his own.

Other Toy Lines / Re: Official Simpsons Toys Thread

I believe this was to become the 5th THOH:

I think there were other options, but this one got the closest to being made.

I've always liked the Treehouse of Horror episodes, but they aren't always my favorite toys (except for Kang and Kodos, which I don't have).  I'm glad the last planned THOH set wasn't made, as it didn't seem like such a great idea.

THOH 16 was ok, but not a classic. Still, I started cracking up with the appearance of the Herbie Hancock "Rockit" robots in the AI segment.  Haha.

Saga '02-'04 / Saga after retail - eBay prices
« on: November 3, 2005, 12:15 PM »
You know how it is with eBay: every once in a while some item goes for a lot, and it leaves me scratching my head, thinking "was this figure really hard to find?"

Like Maul here: $26.00

So - was this hard to find?

I'm thinking if you are an assistant to Britney Spears or something, and you type Revenge of the Sith DVD at MSN (not into google yet) and then you hit the first link you find, and then "BUY". The less thinking and comparing, the better!

So, really, its just for people who can't be bothered to check prices.
