To defend the makeup though that is a closeup we never actually see in the movie itself.  It's him at a distance in the film.  So, who knows maybe they would have done something different if he would have had a closeup.

Anyway, blah, blah, blah.  I am verify happy we are getting a Tarkin on a Vintage Card.  Now go make the Cantina Band Member, Han and Luke in stormptrooper disguises, Vader with Sebastian Shaw head, Leia Slave, and some others!  ;D

I can understand if they never make the SailBarge and Sandcrawler.  Although I would LOVE them to do so.  Those 2 items are nowhere near the icon that is the Death Star.  The Death Star should be an absolute no-brainer, automatic when the re-release comes out.  C'mon Hasbro, you are a TOY manufacturer.  The Death Star SCREAMS to be made into some sort of playset.  I know every other toy company out there would be dying to make a damn Death Star playset of some sort if they had this license.  LOL!  I still can't believe this hasn't gotten the green light at some point.  Yeah, if they made it there will be some that go to clearance just like the Falcon, Turbo Tank, and AT-AT.  It is inevitable but there would also be a ton that get sold if they make it cool enough.

I am fine with it as long as it not just another orange, x-wing jumpsuit EU figure.  Or a comic book colored clonetrooper again.  I hope it is actual EU characters like Guri, Dash Rendar, Nomi Sunrider, etc.

I have zero interest in Vlix.  However, I think that would be an interesting move if they did it.

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Sequel Trilogy Speculation
« on: February 8, 2011, 10:32 PM »
I always thought he would make another trilogy to be honest.  There is too much money to be had by making movies.  I expect another around 2018-2020.  It would not surprise me at all.  I think it will either be something way, way, way before or after the whole Skywalker saga.  Although a young Yoda sounds kind of fun IMO.

Where was an AT-AT for $12 at?

Maybe I'm cheap but these vehicles would be much more appealing if they were about $12-15 instead of $16-$18.  Duh, I know.  But they just don't seem that great for the price they are at.

That playset feature is kind of cool for kids I have to admit.  I don't think it looks particularly good but it doesn't have to be for them necessarily.  I doubt I buy this though.  If it is ever repainted to look like Sidious' vehicle from the end of ROTS and they include Anakin's medical capsule then I probably will.  It looks like it will be a fun toy for kids though.

If they want to go collector-oriented again I would  love a carded Blue Snaggletooth.  It's a goofy enough variant that probably would only appeal to collectors.  It's not something that Hasbro would probably want to release nationwide in every Wal-Mart in the land.  I doubt it would do well at retail.  However, as a mail away it might?  Then again it may be to obscure the more I think about it.

Hasbro would probably opt for something with more mass appeal.  Maybe a plastic cape Jawa or Han Solo Stormtrooper?  I'm just hoping it would be a vinty cardback that we either have not had before or one of those figures from back in the day that you wish they had made but never did like Tarkin, Cantina Band Member, Vader ROTJ Rem Helmet, etc.

Collect All 92! / Re: Lobot
« on: January 22, 2011, 04:05 PM »
I liked Lobot as a kid to.  I got the OTC one as well.  I hope they don't release again though because he is the definition of pegwarmer.  He rotted on the pegs everywhere I went.  People whined about Yarna well this guy had her beat.  Again though I'm a sucker for the vinty cardbacks.  So, if they make him I'll buy him but I'm hoping they don't.  I'd rather see a lot of other figures on those cardbacks before good ol Lobot.

I actually liked this Leia figure when I was a kid.  I really am not sure why though.  It is dull.  I don't want to see them revisit this anytime soon.  I'm fine if they never put her on a vintage cardback.  However, with that being said.  I probably would buy her again if she were on the vinty cardback since I'm a sucker for those.  However, there are a lot of other figures I would rather see done on vintage cards.  Even ones that were never on one like the Rebel Fleet Trooper, Cantina Band Member, Tarkin, etc.

I just don't care for the CatWoman character at all.  I mean it's a Batman movie.  Save CatWoman for another movie series.  Oh well.

Totally bummed about the Lando. Nice to get the upgrade, but the card back is very disappointing.

It's a bit dull but at least it shows him with the cape.  I think a Falcon shot would not have it?  But I know what you mean.  I think for the wave the Skiffmaster looks the best.  Then again I've been wanting this figure for a long time.  I'm just hyped to finally be getting it.

I actually like the prequel figures on the vintage cards.  I do agree that the Kenner logo doesn't make sense on them to me either.  However, I guess so does Han Solo with the Echo Base jacket and Dack Ralter.
