There is a picture of Bilbo in Smaug's lair that was released that is from the second movie so we know they at least get there.

Could this be a way for Hasbro to keep the pegs stocked until they can actually ship a real "fan favorite" wave that they are working on? If they don't have anything to ship, the stores will fill the pegs with something else and then when they offer them the "fan favorite" wave, the stores won't have anywhere to put it so they won't order. Kind of like what they do when they release a repaint wave.

All that is happening here is Hasbro is leaving the SKU alive and any store that orders will get these 3 leftover stock cases. Instead of giving them to the discount stores like they have been. But I do I think that there will be a real "Best Of" wave released later in the year. Most likely just the Online wave with the Bastila wave and INC replacing the four Walmart figures.

Actually if the latter happens it'll be hard for me NOT to buy into these.This is the way I feel also. If there is ever a 3 3/4 LotR line, as long as it isn't stupidly expensive and the articulation is decent, I will at least get the main characters and then see where it goes from there.LOTR is the only movie franchise besides SW that has me hooked in completely.

I saw this in the latest SW Insider weeks ago in an ad for Gentle Giant. Didn't say anything about it being an exclusive. Not knowing (or caring) about GG stuff I didn't known it was something that hadn't been revealed before. If I had I would have scanned it and reported it.

I think it will be a GG Jumbo figure but if it is a Hasbro item it will be something that was supposed to be released somewhere else, either general or exclusive, but then got dropped. I'm thinking it might be Krell. Or that funeral pyre. Maybe that Nabbo set that Target was going to get?

Since both of those are from the 3-packs I think that is were we will see them.
New Hammerhead with repacks of Greedo and Ponda and a new Lobot with repacks of Han and an ugnaught sounds extremely likely to be the next wave.

Here is what I know of the hoods:
Flitchee:
The one with the feather is his hood from the movie. Not the repainted Graak hood he is packaged wearing.
Nanta:
AKA Corpsey.
Teebo:
Both are from RotJ. The first one is from all of the village scenes and hunting party. He wears the full hood during the battle. Best place to see him is when the ewoks first show up. Note: Teebo wears his horn, knife, and necklace during the hunting party and prebattle village scenes but not during the celebration like in the picture below.
Kneesaa:
Pink one is from cartoon. Other one seems to be made up but it may be based on Wuta's.
Tippet:
Marvel comics character. Both hoods are from there. Horned one from #94 and regular hood from #100.

« on: August 17, 2012, 08:01 PM »Interesting break-down and it shows that people, for the most part, are really tired of the prequels.No, out of the 33 voters (that voted by posting) only six didn't vote for any PT figures while everyone voted for an OT. It seems to me that PT figures are very much wanted just not as widely as OT figures.
I don't think there are that many that would like to see PT figures go away entirely but most would be quite content if Hasbro released two or more OT figures for every PT figure.
