So unfortunate that the MOC Theater Lukes' bubbles have this issue.  :(

Mine is also working its way loose, but I will leave it well enough alone.

For the standard tier service, that took around 2 months' turn-around time, the loose figure grading price was approximately $30.

It will come back  in an acrylic case with the gun taped beside it and with just the one grade noted on a sticker inside the case.

The blue and red snags are the only loose figures that I have ever sent to AFA as they are the iconic major variation known to all.  Ironicaly, the 85 blue snag got a better grade than the 80 red snag!

My new Snaggletooth has arrived, just took some quick pics, this is the dented toe version.

Here they are side by each, variation hunt is done & they are both pristine!  8)   ;D

Well, I happened upon a minty paint dented toe version blue snag myself at my local comic store and broke down and "snagged" him for $200, which for tis condition seemed fair.  For kicks and giggles, I sent him to AFA and we'll see how he does.

I couldn't help but notice the 2 different gun colors in these photos.  Mine came with a black gun.   Which is correct??

Agreed-  I've spent about 1/10th of that amount on my entire vintage carded collection total consisting of about 20 figures, and half of which are the last 17.

Some people have more money than sense.

I'm back in the game in one fell swoop-  my favorite carded vintage line has always been the POTF with their great coins and the nostalgia surrounding its cancellation and the "last 17," so I took the plunge and will have 14 carded total, including 10 of these last 17!  Sorry, no photos.

Power of the Force 2 / Re: Orange Card with Holo sticker?

... but I'd love to find a OC Vader with the holo sticker.

Amen, my brother!  8)

Found one!  The OC Vader with the holo sticker s now one of the prize jewels in my POTF2 collection, focusing mostly on Vader.

I recently sold most of my vintage carded collection as many of the the bubbles had darkened, yellowed, or just plain unsealed, so I have turned back to the POTF2 era as my collecting focus as those cards and bubbles just hold up so much better over time.

The vintage "carded" collector in me wants to find a blue snag in its Kenner baggie for my collection, but the realist in me knows that this is cost probibitive, so I've essentially just passed on this figure until someay a deal that cannot be refused comes along!  ???

Great pickups Jesse, that case looks brilliant. With picking up the carded figures in the way you have, have you had any concerns with eventual degradation of the card or bubble? I've had opportunities to pickup some carded figures but passed cause I'm not too sure if I want to go down that path knowing what could possibly happen to the card/bubble.

My concerns exactly- I guess that I'm just alittle too OCD to collect carded vintage as there really are lots of issues with the cards and bubbles, so I recently traded about a dozen of my worst condition carded vintage ROTJ and POTF, mostly C-6 or less, consisting of loose bubbles, cracked bubbles, yellow and dark bubbles, creased cards, etc, as to me they were essentially just mint loose figures for the purpose of sale/trade, and turned them into a mint conditon chronometer watch complete with its wooden box and COSC certificate!

Swiss watches are another collecting vice for me!  ;D

I do still have 7 slightly better condition vintage carded figures in the collection, rannging from SW to POTF, but of course none are what I would consider as C-9 or above, which was my POTF2 collecting passion for all those years.

Bumping this up- I actually found a Mimoco C3PO USB flash drive at my local Toys R Us last week- pretty cool!  And the $10 clearance price tag was nice as well.

Very nice score!  Not much activity here recently amongst us vintage fans- we must all be broke!

The Vintage Collection / Re: Boba Fett Mail-Away Offer?

It's odd how so many people have commented how they've gotten their Boba's with the bubble separated from the cardback. That's really weird. I wonder how that happens.

Sounds like Hasbro unfortuantely used the same bubble glue as they did on the '97 Theater Luke.  That figure was next to impossible to locate with a bubble still totally intact.

That's probaby about right for one autographed- I think that carded alone still goes for 2 bills.
