Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The Avengers (and sequels)

Ultron ultimately becomes one of the Avengers greatest heroes and a never-ending source of guilt for Hank.

He's like Bender, he says he wants to kill all humans, but is really good at heart.

The $34 reported was with 15% off. So these are $40 (?) normally.

Same list as last year. Likely to be 2014's list, too.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Recent 30AC Purchases

I never saw that one, wasn't it a Wal-Mart exclusive? The 3 stores here never stocked them. Or the AT-ST or the band tins, early bird sets, first two comic pack waves, only one carried Jabba.

Jedi are boring. I appreciate any new characters at this point, though (and most more interesting characters require more new tooling). It would be nice if they made the female green Nikto (I still want to call it Klaatu)...I think it was female, from ROTS.

Speaking of Jedi army builders. You can buy super-articulated episode one Obi-Wans from Hong Kong sellers super cheap ($2 a figure or less) , but his neck joint size doesn't seem too widely compatible with many figures.

I guess I'd take them at "free".

Wedge and  Farr are rumored...so are #11 and #12 (Yoda and Dag Luke) which leaves some slim pickins at #13 and #14

Slim Pickens wasn't in The Empire Strikes Back; he was in The Black Hole as the voice of Old B.O.B.

I've bought zero figures from the Black Series. Never seen Padme. The rest leave me cold at $10.

I remember in the 90's you could get most of the Droids/Ewoks figures for under $10 each MOC. I never had much interest. Now even loose figures are going for good money.

I saw two Legolas figures at K-Mart $1.99 each, but 25%, so $1.50 each. I passed on them. Couldn't think of anything to do with them that I'd ever actually do since I don't customize and reselling and even trading gets so frustrating.

Their sole Star Wars vintage figure was not on clearance.

Little too pat. If it weren't for Coulson I'd probably skip it. Maybe it will improve.

JTA has the lowdown on the pack-ins. A series of sculpts truly worthy of a vintage release.

That's a like a joke someone would make. "They'll include 2002 Saga figures."

And the joke's on us!

Greeeed. Not sure why they included the figures except that this was meant to tie into 3D movie releases that didn't happen.

If only they'd updated the ship itself, but vehicle tooling now goes towards kiddie rides.

That's a nice way of saying "we won't be making any more, and what was made will be treated like the Star Wars Holiday Special".
