Front Runners

More tension amongst rebels.

Typical evil king who usurped the throne and his toady advisor (or snaily advisor in this case).

Typical old noble deposed king locked away.

Some new robot they won't make into a toy.

Why did Anakin and Obi-Wan take Rex back with them?

Where the heck is DC nation? Did they change the schedule at the last minute? Comcast says Green Lantern and yet there's a show about dragons on.

I expect to see that shuttle reissued when the ARC Trooopers Battle Pack is reissued. Never of next never.

I probably couldn't care less if they made spider-Maul. Not sure why they even did that in the show...will they explain how he got that way?

I'd rather see new tooling go toward something of significance...even like Lava Flea or something I probably also wouldn't buy.

No, more like Lucasfilm wanting Hasbro to kill 3 3/4, and Hasbro said "we'll make consumer  friendly $20 items, will that shut you up?"

The N1 was delayed because Hasbro had to rush episode 1 stuff because Lucasfilm didn't give them enough notice.

And retailers don't give a @#$%% about restocking toys anymore.

Got this guy over the weekend.  Broke my post 1989 rule, but couldn't pass it up for $75.  Sounds work, but no lights.  Missing just a few minor things - including the General, but that's okay.

Nice find.

Major Storm is the figure that came with the vehicle. He's unremarkable.  I've never owned a complete Major Storm or General.

How much will they gouge for the Endor AT-AT? Probably so much you can buy two old ones for the same price and customize them.

Maybe the Trade Federation designed them to be sold to organic armies?  Maybe the design predates the Battle Droids? The STAP would be another one, why isn't it just a flying drone?

Why don't the AAT's hatches lock from the inside?

And one of the reasons tanks have anti-personnel weapons is to prevent infantry from running up and attaching magnetic mines, etc. to the tank.

Then again, when have the AAT's ever used their weapons. They never use the hull rockets. Those nubs below the front hatch are lasers, too, according to the Episode 1 cutaway tech book.

So, yeah, we have the silly manuevors to make some "jock vs. nerd"/pissing contest scenes.

TRU is crap here except for exclusives, there's been no evidence of any new figures of any assortment in 5 months or even carry forwards from later cases. I can't even find anything worthwhile to buy one get one free. And the pegs are mostly empty, and have been for 2 or more months.  Why do they refuse to restock or reorder? What the hell?

The Vintage Collection / Re: Who Wants More Ewoks?

Aside from the catapult, a Victory celebration drummer with drum set with removable imperial helmets....because really, I just want a source of imperial helmets. 8)

I'm tired of the 30th anniversary era molds they keep using and I don't own half the figures they've made using them.

Throw in some recolored woklings with the single carded Ewoks, too...since they are just unarticulated accessories.

The POTJ is odd because it looks based on earlier comm-tech Stormtrooper, but doesn't have knee joints or ball jointed shoulders.  He's really only good for one pose, macronocular looking.

The Evolutions mold is okay, except the lack of waist joint.

Well, it seems there's only a few thousand people on the whole planet.  ;)

Do they make the AAT's too big. Or maybe I try to make my peace with under scaled toys only to have that challenged by other media. I wish they'd updated the toy more, hatch and rear ramp...never happen. more likely they'll make a new tinyer one.

Skiff is the only one I'd go out of my way to buy. One of the biggest let downs ever was Kenner not making it sooner, so it was super rare and I never had one (without it, the skiff guards hung out on mini rigs...just didn't cut it). And then over a decade later to get POTF2 version (oddly made an exclusive, despite apparent fan  demand at the time)...only to learn how underwhelming the vehicle was.

They said they'd never do modular Death Star sets. All or nothing. I believe them on that.

The escape pod could be neat. Never got the last one, seemed too small and I wasn't collecting then.

Didn't they mold the geonosian cannon 10 years ago and never released it?

:( Wow. Seems like the B5 cast suffered more premature deaths than any Trek series has. The actors who played the doctor and G'Kar also passed away in the last decade.
