Liking the new angle with the CDC guy too. (Wish they had done better with the microscope close-up though, that seemed really cheesy somehow) I wonder if his lament over the lack of fresh tissue samples to study will lead them to try and retrieve Jim's body at some point. Figured dude would be at least a little happy to see other survivors though, guess not so much.

Well, he's researching and these people with their problems show up, so....another hassle to deal with.

On the other hand, he's near suicide at this point, from frustration or lonliness or whatever. Guess we'll find out next week (or year.)

Sucks that it'll be a year before episode 7. That's what stinks about these cable shows. Shorter seasons and longer wait.

In a recent Q&A response Hasbro said the sets were originally planned to be bigger and more expensive. Hmmm....wonder what would've been included.

I was hoping for ROTJ style 2-packs. Random figures thrown on generic cardbacks with no accessories.  Gotta do something will all those overseas factory rejects.

Yeah, that's all I'm sayin' really. I don't mean to imply that they're misguided, I'm just bemoaning the fact that the animated line does not seem to aspire to the level of engagement with the consumer that the TVC line does. (horses of a different color, I realize)

I guess when you have a hot commodity that is primarily targeted to kids, and supported by current entertainment, you just don't have to try as hard in that regard. I get that though.

Personally, I think Hasbro "owns" so much of the action figure aisle as is, that they don't have to try very hard. That's why they can not ship new product for once vital properties to stores for 6 months without  a problem.

I will probably get a couple to give Cody a few troops.

They have. Just go pick up some new Invasion of Utapau battle packs and throw the other 3 figures away. Or repack something in his place and return the set. Kids don't care.  

On a related note, that WIRED article about this topic that RS has linked on their front page is utterly asinine.

The article didn't mention it's not just a costume change, she's aged, her lekku are longer. Maybe she's grown taller (?) too.

In 2 weeks on The Padme Show, her life is in danger and another vote fails. Seriously, this is getting absurd. They aren't gonna make senate Padme, Bail Organa or Lott Dodd (the main villain for this season! HA!) action figures.

Yes and no. No they wouldn't have been super articulated in 2002 of course. But back then they made some figures like the previously unnamed Nikto Jedi, that were little more than statues, even compared to Episode 1 releases. That stuff turned me off Star Wars for a while.

In terms of ROTS, they could've gone further and we wouldn't have needed Agen Kolar and Plo Koon again. And IIRC, we don't have a fully SA Ki-Adi Mundi, just a SA concept one (and maybe that comic pack one, I'm not sure).

I admit, I'd probably get Aayla again if she had better arms. Mine has a loose knee anyway. And I missed the Clone Wars version (saw it once with bad paint ops and then never again).

Complaining about character repetition in Star Wars toys is pointless. I admit that.

So they are reissuing Attack on Rishi Moon Outpost in new boxes with a battle mat. Also, Holocron Heist and Clones vs. Droids will come with battle mats.
