"Sphere of Influence" used a lot of characters but didn't "wow" me. Not sure what the point of some of these episodes are in the greater scheme of things, but that's me falling for the "preview made the season looks so great", like the opening credits of an 80's action show. (R.I.P. Stephen J. Cannell) It's true they can't and shouldn't be all epic battles. This one did almost spell out "THIS IS AN EPISODE 1 TRIBUTE".

All these non-combatant types experts with a blaster against people who should be better than them? Yeah, it's just a t.v. show. I know.

Ahsoka's a badass against droids but calls it quits when Nemoidian troops arrive. Not one to kill living beings? Heck, the Papanoida clan massacred a whole bar!

Also, our main heroes and villains are mostly bit players lately. That's okay, but I wonder if that reduces kid appeal.

Next week, yep, it's a Meg episode. I mean, a Padme/Duchess Sattee episode. Political intrigue. Taxation of trade routes. Citizen outrage. Debate. Hopefully more Lott Dodd.  He's the main villain this year. Ha-ha. (Go ahead and ask Hasbro if they'll make a figure of him.   )

Not much time there, but maybe you can get the $5 and the gift card like I did.

No idea...I doubt it based on how it reads. It doesn't say free card with every $30 or $50 you spend but with any purchase at or over those amounts. (But then I somehow got a $5 off coupon and the card, even though the coupon said "not valid with any other total purchase off".)

These "promotional" gift cards also expire at the end of October, too. Which is a bit irritating.

Extra 20% of K-Mart clearance currently. I found the Clone Squad for $10.40 (including the 20% off). Also, B-A-D figures were $3.20 or something (weren't even marked as clearance at the store I went to), but there were none I really wanted.  Older Clone Wars and Legends scanned as full price, though.

I'll check another K-mart tomorrow.

Will Greedo shoot first in next week's episode?

Is the coupon still good tomorrow? I almost used it today, but then I added things up and I might have been saving 50 cents over regular prices at other stores...that's assuming I didn't have to pay tax on the original prices...then I'd have been saving maybe less than a quarter. I was gonna get 2 vintage and one Legends...but they have 50 cents extra on Legends/Clone Wars. So I'd have been paying $4.50 over other stores. TRU's ridiculous Vintage prices cost them a sale with me. 3 vintage for $30 minus $5 is still a buck more than Target/Wal-Mart.

Maybe I should've done it anyway since they had all of wave 2. Oh, well.

Hoping for a "Buy ______ get Nikto guard free" sale like they did with Ponds. Then again, I didn't get Ponds when that had that sale (and despite his price tag, all his figures eventually vanished...weird).
