Reverse Gilligan's Island continues...

This episode was more interesting, but sort of a mocking of island survival plans of post-pockylips fans and with the obviousness that island family will suffer for our motley crew's visit.

"We know were not to go....where the budget cannot afford to take us!"

Good job, Nick, showing the little girl where the power pills were. You're family is great at get folks killed, out doing Rick Grimes.

Strand has a working cell phone? Satellite phone?

People were probably getting worried near the end...like they'd add a kid to the cast!

It's not difficult to imagine after the prequels. They can go that route in the remake.

Kenobi realizes he lacks the ability to train Luke to his true potential and fears him falling to the dark side, so off to Dagobah they go or just Luke alone. So what does Kenobi do the rest of ESB...is he with the Rebel fleet or in the Falcon? If he's at Cloud City that gets another Vader/Kenobi reunion. So maybe he's not there.

ROTJ, Luke confronts Obi-Wan about his dad. So no Yoda scene? What does he do the rest of the movie. Hmmm....

It does make more sense for Metropolis to be on the east coast, but just a supervillain toss away from Gotham City?

And  that map says Metropolis has 70,000 people? That's not large enough for a major metropolitan newspaper or well, major anything.

Why our youth grows up to be evil, all the Star Wars packaging promoting the villains.

I'd heard Gotham = NYC and Metropolis is Chicago or midwest. But NYC exists in DC?

Keystone City should be in the Keystone state...Pennsylvania,

Saw it last week and enjoyed it.  Surprising, since I thought Man of Steel was kinda so-so.

Someone said this is  mediocre movie with a good movie trying to get out of it. That's maybe fair. I think the R-rated cut or longer cut will redeem it more, though....at some point Zack Snyder racked up a hate tab with nerds and critics that's gonna stick with him. But hey, so did Michael Bay and he's still going.

In regards to Marvel comparisons. "This is just a set-up for Justice league" Well, that's what the title implies.
I mean Captain America First Avenger felt like a going-through-the-motions prequel to the Avengers.  BvS seemed like a condensed adaptation of a multi-issue comic book story (like the Watchmen movie was, but messier here), and to a degree Age of Ultron felt like that too, with less subplots.

I was most surprised that I liked Affleck's Batman.

Spoiler comment:
Why are Gotham City and Metropolis so close to each other?
The future dream sequence was awesome.
If you haven't seen it yet, find the released cut scene with Luthor is about to get arrested. It sheds light on his ending rant a bit more.

I enjoyed it thoroughly. No, wait...I meant barely.

A-holes acting stupid on a yacht that for some reason stops moving so idiots can jump in the water near a shot-up boat that was probably sunk by the military (would anything else make sense this early in the poccy lips?) It's not that the coast guard can't save anyone, it's probably they've been ordered not to. The military still thinks this is something to contain.

Which reminds me that Los Angeles is burning because "our heroes" decided to release a zombie horde on the army's command post.

There's also how come the undead are fleeing the bombings and fires...oh, they say because they aren't as decayed or  mindless or something yet. Sure...change the rules and pretend that's how it's always been.

Strand, the junkie and Cliff Curtis can live, the rest can sleep with the fishes.

Oh, and if The Talking Dead occasionally got tedious and dull after the Walking Dead, now it's pure snoozefest.
"They learn that the floating fortress isn't safe" -Producer
"I had scene fighting a zombie that was cut". -Curtis
"I'm Hozier" - Hozier

I'm confused about people's shock at a cliffhanger in a tv show

And I've said this before and I'll be a pain in the ass again,  why do people watch a tv show they hate so much?  Just to bitch?

I'm confused that you'd even ask that question. Is this your first day on the internet?

I had a longer response. But it would probably be interpreted as "bitch bitch bitch". So why bother? I mean, I got tv shows to go "hate" watch.

Cheap tactic reused again. They made this season very uneven with their gimmicks. First was Glenn and the magic dumpster (Has anyone found a dumpster in our reality that you can crawl under?), second was the mid-season "finale" with its non-ending (leading to a mid-season premiere that picks up where it left off, a rarity for this show), and now we have EENY-MEENY-MINEY MOE---CATCH A TIGER BY THE TOE...SEE YOU IN OCTOBER!

Morgan wasn't very convincing at first, but the benefit of letting him talk for 20 minutes help push his character. Shouldn't he have been clean shaven?

An episode consisting of them driving into roadblocks and Negan talking, I felt the Morgan/Carol bits were a decent diversion. It was odd she finds the library that was recently sacked. Small world.

The way they keep bringing back Darth Maul gives me hope that Han Solo will be in Episode VIII.  Seriously...he was cut in half and fell into one of the bottomless pits that seem to be everywhere in the Star wars Universe!

I did like the face off between Vader and Asohka...even though I wish she had never been in the Rebels cartoon (I never liked the newer clone wars cartoons because of the Hanna Montana Jedi, also making Anakin Skywalker a Master in the first episode thereby negating his motivations in Revenge of the Sith).

They made Anakin a KNIGHT in the rebels cartoon, so he could have a padawan.  He's not a Master. (Original backstory for Ki-Adi Mundi was that he was just a Knight on the Jedi Council, not a Jedi Master, but that got thrown out with ROTS).

Only a fool's hope.

SPOILERS...of course

The double-blade lightsaber helicopter bit...a SITH secret.

The Kylo Ren type saber... proving that Ezra is really Snoke. Or something. Or nothing.

Just who was that 3rd inquisitor?

Why aren't Kanan and Ahsoka allowed to actually kill anyone? If Maul wasn't there, they'd have lost...well, more-so.

Maul constantly surviving makes him the canon version of the EU Boba Fett.

Why did the temple have the voice of Assaj Ventress?

How'd anyone survive that 'spolsion?

They used misdirection in last week's previews, we were meant to think Daryl went after Carol...when he doesn't even know she's left.

Also, Negan's peeps know about Alexandria. How long have they known? HOW LONG? ENID'S A SPY!!! (Are people still saying that, because it got old...)

4? What about Carol and Morgan who could also get captured....so potential casualties could go as high as six. Imagine all six getting whacked like t-balls.

Tonight's episode, Everybody runs out of Alexandria and gets into trouble for no logical reason. Well, not everybody, just half of them.

Morgan justifies his actions as all part of a circle, never mind if it weren't for him saving the Wolf that Denise never would've been put in harm's way to begin with.

I thought maybe he got bit and didn't want to tell Rick.

A HORSE! A HORSE! MY KINGDOM FOR A HORSE!! Rick and Morgan encounter Richard the III. This after they meet Carol's stunt double in a clever SPACEBALLS reference. (The walker was played by Carol's stunt double)

Carol is still a murder machine. Next time we see her, one of her limbs will have been replaced with a weapon of some sort. Maybe a flame thrower.

Daryl's city living has made him SOFT again.

Where's Aaron in all this? Sorry, only allowed two Alexandrites at a time, this time Tobin and Enid. Next time Deanna's son and I dunno.

And Fear the Walking Flight 30 (seconds) part 105...and we still don't care. Should've made them webisodes. How come none of the past webisodes ever tied back into the series? (Besides bicycle woman) WHAT HAPPEN TO STORAGE UNIT COUPLE?  ???
