Dunno why Kenner made him so short. The 1981 one was okay for age, if boring compared to the other bounty hunters. For some reason as a young lad I intially thought his figure was a bandaged up Luke Skywalker after his confrontation with Vader or the Wampa...which just seems absurd.

What I've heard about Dengar's EU backstory, I can do without.

I think everything that happened this season took places before the end of season 1. Some stuff that happened last season did, too, not just the Admiral Trench episode, the Boba Fett story and possibly the Mandalore arc, too.

Holocron Heist may be the most recent episode in the time line...or is it Zilla beast? No idea. None. It's a damn mess. They expect kids to follow this? I can't.

The "not getting the figure right the first time" has gotten old. But I never got any Cad Bane, so...this might be the one!  ;)

I think the white suited guys in this ebay auction are the same figures.  I don't know GI Joe figures very well...

Those are Lanard STAR CORPS figures from the late 90's/early 2000's. GI JOE knock-offs, once commonly available at Toy R Us and Wal-Mart.

4) 2-piece helmet Vader has been replaced with one of the Vintage variations

Not a Vintage mold at all, but the 2006 Saga version that was based on the 500th (meditation) Vader, and had been released as part of Legends for the past few years (and included in the Grand Moff Trachta comic pack by as a straight reissue  >:( ). No ball shoulders or ankles, cut elbows...a step dooownnn.

I thought it was funny that Bossk was a christian. I mean look at the Kenner figure. Dude wears a cross. (Of all the detail they left unpainted, they painted that on!)

Seriously, I think they sort of overthought the VOTC version in one aspect, the seperately molded hose on his chest that limits some movement.

I wanted a purple suited marvel comics repaint of the VOTC version.

I just picked up the Legends reissue of the VOTC one. Much better plastic than the IG Lancer droid that reused his parts (Hasbro really screwed up that figure with rubbery plastic).

But the head sculpt is off, IMHO. There's orange dots missing from the movie head...it's as plain as day on the card photo. Not sure making the head two pieces doesn't hurt the look, too. Also in the photos his eye stalk things are looking down (Now, how to make those poseable I don't know). The thing on the side of his head technically should be larger.  http://www.coolwatersprods.com/images/kershIG88.jpg

It's still a really good figure, though. I'm not sure Hasbro would ever revisit IG 88 anyway.

I stuck an extra "secret weapon" pistol in his holster...not one of the ones he came with (mine had the old assortment from the past few years).

Based on last year's season 2 preview (Remember Death Watch Mandos being shown?) , we can expect Oppress to appear in February.

Tonight's episode wasn't as bad as I figured, but still the weakest story arc yet.

Also, didn't there use to be male heroes on this show? I mean, beside Corky the plucky Mandalorian cadet.  :P

To the show's brainwashing credit. I almost want a Mandalorian police officer figure now...except the lack of knee joints still blows.

Next week....Aurra's got a different look. I smell a future repaint figure.

$5 Star Wars figures at Target this week (Iron Man, too). The ad only shows Clone Wars. I haven't been yet. I doubt vintage will be included. But Legends probably will.

Tonight's episode...I dunno. When the show gets too talky, my suspension of disbelief in the animation starts to wander in terms of voices matching up the characters...(I've still got mixed feelings about some character designs even this far along), as well as seeing reused character models. Looks like they kept reusing the same Mandalorian boy.

And this was the opening of an arc?  It's notable that'll be the 3rd episode in a row focusing on female protagonists (Okay, the Baron and his son split "Sphere of Influence", though they were really guest stars).

Were the reptillian smuggler aliens supposed to be Xizor's race...probably not, but I thought maybe at first.

I was gonna buy this, put my incomplete 1995 TIE Fighter back in its box and return it.

I'm kidding.

I already put my old TIE in the snowspeeder box and returned it.  ;)

Some folks are saying the AT-ST is flimsier than last year's version. I never got last year's version.

Technically, wasn't the ESB AT-ST model different from the ROTJ one?

I was wondering about the treads on the radar laser.

I agree, since you can get the tripod laser in the mass release battle pack, something else would've been better.  Though, knowing Hasbro, it would've been the Probot Probe Droid again.

Ugh.   :(

I don't think there's Ultimate Galactic Hunt versions of these packs.  ;)

Jodo Kast with the $5 coupon at K-Mart (last one they had), also found a Legacy collection Imperial Scanning Trooper for $3.20. So I got both figures for $7.62.

"Sphere of Influence" used a lot of characters but didn't "wow" me. Not sure what the point of some of these episodes are in the greater scheme of things, but that's me falling for the "preview made the season looks so great", like the opening credits of an 80's action show. (R.I.P. Stephen J. Cannell) It's true they can't and shouldn't be all epic battles. This one did almost spell out "THIS IS AN EPISODE 1 TRIBUTE".

All these non-combatant types experts with a blaster against people who should be better than them? Yeah, it's just a t.v. show. I know.

Ahsoka's a badass against droids but calls it quits when Nemoidian troops arrive. Not one to kill living beings? Heck, the Papanoida clan massacred a whole bar!

Also, our main heroes and villains are mostly bit players lately. That's okay, but I wonder if that reduces kid appeal.

Next week, yep, it's a Meg episode. I mean, a Padme/Duchess Sattee episode. Political intrigue. Taxation of trade routes. Citizen outrage. Debate. Hopefully more Lott Dodd.  He's the main villain this year. Ha-ha. (Go ahead and ask Hasbro if they'll make a figure of him.  :P )
