KIDNAPPED.

I liked when the battle droid rubbed his hand over his head (like stroking back hair) as he broke the bad news to the slaver guy. It was totally goofy.

Not sure why they are deploying commando droids as biker riders and tank operators, seems like a waste.

Anyone else a tad annoyed the BARC speeder sidercars were different than the toy version. I'm sure we can expect an updated version not soon... :P

Sniper droideka? Never seen those before.

Obi-Wan can force-crush droids like that...he must hold back a lot. He's been held back a lot, this is like his first major role all season.

In a galaxy of easily mass produced droids, how are slaves economical?

I hit two K-Marts and TRU and found nothing worth getting for their sales. Yay! My hobby isn't collecting, it's going to stores walking to the toy aisle and not buying anything. Good exercise...horrible waste of gasoline, though.  :P

Actually saw some recent for $24 at a Wal-Mart. I think. Never owned one, but space is an issue.

Collect All 92! / Re: Chief Chirpa
« on: November 20, 2011, 11:32 PM »
It was funny, since there were only two Ewok figures released in 1983, even though he was the chief, they used Chirpas on the Ewok Village box as generic litter bearers for C-3PO's throne and in the elevator. Can't think of any other time a character was used like that on vintage package photos.

He was an okay toy. But the first two Ewoks released had a bone staff and a shaman staff, not exactly something you'd take on the Empire with.

All I know is for $9 or more the current vintage one is lame. I never see corrected ones, only unibrow ones.

Time for ball jointed wrists, too.

Years (feels like it) later I finally get Bom Vidom. Reshipped one, I guess. They had three, so I missed 3 cases of new figures except him and trench coat Han Solo, plus a Jango reshipped. I should be glad that no one has any good taste, and leaves cantina aliens behind.  :P

Why the heck didn't they stun Krell immediately.  You can stun first and ask questions later! A lot of clone died taking him down.

The odd thing was the remaining Umbarrans heading to the airbase, yet, at the end...it was like they never came, so the execution seemed unneeded (but deserved).

Krell acted like he hadn't officially hooked up with the Sith, but there's that matter of him being put in command...so Sidious must've been aware of Krell's leanings.

Good arc, arguably an episode too long. Arguably. I mean, really, the Mon Cal arc seemed longer and it was 3 episodes.

One thing, they keep killing off antagonists in their debuts. In some cases that's good, in some others...untapped potential wasted.

I'm far more likely to get a boring senator-type figure if they are well articulated. Though I do understand that aesthetically, trying to get soft goods to look good at 3 3/4" scale isn't easy.

That Battledroid's backpack looks too big. I'm sure we'll see variations of that figure...NOT SOON. I doubt its wrists swivel, that's a feature reserved for Clone Wars fire fighter droids that were barely available at retail. It looks like shoulder articulation is less than that of the Arena 2-pack droids, but hard to tell for sure.

One of Galactic Hunter's questions to Hasbro

Quote
At Comic-Con, we asked for an update about the "Mini-Rigs" of Clone Wars Boba Fett's Speeder Bike and the mini Republic Attack Shuttle, and we were assured they were coming. No new assortments have been listed, and no news has appeared-- can we get an update on these two?

At New York Comic-Con we confirmed that these vehicles were no longer in the line

Yeah...uh...thanks for that update, Hasbro.  ::)

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Clone Wars Figure Rumors/Speculation
« on: November 11, 2011, 01:54 PM »
A casual collector like me has lost most of my interest in CW toys, due to short changing figures on articulation and of course, not being able to find some new figures. Add to that the lack of new characters...

The Citadel arc might see...what Echo and Fives in toy form...MAYBE. What happened to "we have figures planned from the Mortis trilogy"? Where are they? Was it all in our heads like the storyline?

These 2011 battle packs had promise that we'd see some characters in similar packs in 2012...now it's just the one pack? Really? Not even more repaints?

Will any of the Mon Calamari storyline make it to toy form in 2012? Seems unlikely now.

1. GO AHEAD AND BUY FROM OVERSEAS. It's a long wait.

2. Tough cookies if you can't find them now.

Is there ever any good news from the responses?

Bummers at the Scummer:

There were never more than 5 deleted scene figures planned for the line. Luke, Leia, Lando, Rebel Pilot and Colonel Cracken.

Those hoping for the old woman Rebel Pilot can cry now. Ha.

At NYCC, you said there would only be 19 figures from The Clone Wars. Did you mean 19 new ones, or 19 overall, or have we just been misinformed? Will we be seeing more mini-rigs and battle packs next year if this is the case?

There are 19 total single carded Clone Wars animated figures planned for 2012. There are also 4 Clone Wars themed "mini-rig" figure & vehicle packs and 1 Clone Wars themed Battle pack planned for 2012.

 :(

Yeah, TNT is one of the  foreign only releases that were special because they were obnoxious, old and hard to get.  New and obnoxious plus pricey exclusive = junk.

Sandtroopers.com has carded pictures of wave 1.

ROTS Quick Draw Clone Trooper is back...actually it's the Shock Trooper from Revenge of the Child Birthing Hips...er...Sith

No extra shoulder armor this time.

Yes, the Battle Droid is the old AOTC deluxe C-3PO "droid factory" mold, with the removable head, arms and legs. Only one per card now but with the Clone Wars battle droid spring action launcher. (why isn't there a barf emoticon?)

Battle Droid has CIS symbol on his game card, but Super Battle droid and Destroyer Droid have some other symbol I'm not familiar with.

Everything else is what was expected (bad molds except for Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, who get spring-action grapple launchers). Carded Jar Jar but no loose image. No other wave 2 shown.

Pictures at Sandtroopers.com and yes, it's shirtless freaking Savage...all hopes that they used the wrong image at the slide show are dashed.

Anakin has new LIGHTSABER LAUNCHER.

Can't tell which Cad Bane it is, but Todo is nowhere visible (probably not included) and he has new guns?
